My memory of Spam was my Father who was in WW2. He told me that when he was on leave from the army he and his army friends would rush over to the cafés so hungry for a hot meal. They had fried spam and chips with bread and butter and a mug of tea. That was a great meal at that time for them. Hope you enjoy Anastasia and Guinevere Elinor 🇬🇧 x
My dad was a cook in the Army in WW2 and he used to fix fried spam 😊. I kinda liked it probably because I didn't know what it was made from lol. I don't think he could get me to eat now. He used to tell me stories about being in the war. Thanks for reminding me of him... I still miss him every day❤

I love the crochet crowns. They look so good on the twins. My husband and I used to eat spam, potatoes and egg all mixed together in an electric skillet. So good.
When I was a child, we had Spam once a week or so. My dad would make scalloped potatoes in a big PYREX bowl and the Spam slices were the protein for that meal. I actually liked it. Now I buy the Hickory Spam. It's very close to bacon in flavor, but we don't have it once a week like when I was a kid, it's more like 2 or 3 times a year. I love watching the twins as they forage through their culinary adventures with you and your husband. They seem to be developing preferences. It's so sweet when one tries something and say it's good, and then the other tries it. We just saw that again in this video! When my daughter was their age, all she would eat was sausage and cheese. Thankfully, now that she's in her 40's, she has expanded her consumption and loves many different foods. I love the way you translate for us!
I used to eat SPAM when I was young, sliced out of the can and fried, between slices of bread for a sandwich. A and G seem to love it, too. God bless 😊

The crocheted crowns are adorable 🩷💜. I ate Spam when I was growing up (6 kids in our family) and my Mom would score it and put cloves and brown sugar on it . Sliced it like ham as the meat for our meal. These two are so cute and SO SMART !
Hi Alicia, Guin and Ana amaze me everyday🎉 They both seem to enjoy their meal. Broccoli looks so fresh and delicious. Have a great rest of your day. Love their beautiful crowns on them. So pretty. I remember my Dad would have Spam once and awhile.❤❤❤❤
I will dice spam to mix in scrambled eggs. It can pretty much be used any way ham is, actually. Think it was created to be an inexpensive ham substitute during WWII.
I remember long ,long ago as a schoolgirl in Scotland coming home on a cold winter’s day to a coal fire blazing in the hearth .My Mum had made deep fried spam in batter with chips and fresh Scottish rolls for our 😮tea (supper in Canada). I was so hungry, I thought the whole thing was delicious. My Mum was actually a very good cook but sometimes she had to stretch the Pennies. Anyway I still remember that very tasty and delicious tea over 60 years ago!
Princess Ana and Princess Guin you enjoy your spam…I love watching you two angels . You make me laugh and smile. Hugs from Arizona. See you tomorrow row row.
Love their crowns!!!! Cute story about Spam. My Dad ate it at the end of WWII so we never had it. Your girls are so so creative. They have wonderful imaginations!!!! You and your husband are the BEST!!
If I recall correctly, Spam was developed and used heavily in WWII in the C-rations of the military. I like it fried occasionally and actually have several cans stored with our emergency food supply (if needed).
I keep at least one can around in case my power goes out. I grew up with it and it was a treat to find a spam and mustard sandwich in my school lunch. That was over 60 yrs ago.
Grew up on Spam. It is made from the best parts of ham. Treat use to be made, it had more fat & not as good as Spam. Dont crisp it unless it is half inch thick. Put a slice os pineapple, dollop os sweet potatoe & marshmallow on top, warm it & it is a great meal. Have CANS in pantry, low sodium. Good for hurricane season.
All varieties of Spam…light Spam, turkey Spam and others. Spam is big in Hawaii even served in McDonald’s. Not a Spam steady diet but always keep a can in my pantry for “just incase”. Anyone who was in WWII will tell you they ate a lot of Spam.
These little ladies could not be more precious! Their crowns look lovely; their hair is growing almost as fast as they are. So smart & funny. Don't know what I'd do without seeing them every day. God bless this family. 💙🙏💙
