I'm in Az and recently broke my leg pretty good but just getting into this been thinking about it too many years and have dug A LOT of holes in my days riding dirt jumps so I'm almost prepared lol Great set up and even a greater Geologist!

I have six claims on that same alluvial fan. I am finding a few specks every time out but nothing to get excited about. If you were to say on average how deep is that compacted layer. I have never hit anything like that on my claims yet. And do you think that thats were most of that gold came from or was there good gold in the layer above it.
