  • There are a few reality TV shows that get a lot of watchers. No, we're not going to talk about what the Kardashians are doing today! It's actually about the Discovery Channel show Gold Rush! This interesting reality show follows dedicated teams as they risk everything to win the most money. Even though they are making millions of dollars, the fear of losing everything hangs over their heads. When we see these workers dig up gold nuggets, we often wonder how much money they make for their work. Are you ready for an exciting ride through the heart of gold country? This ride is all about how much money Parker and his crew make through Gold Rush! Let's start!
His net worth is $13 million. He is an American gold digger and reality TV star.
Parker Schnabel was born in Haines, Alaska, on July 22, 1994. His parents, Roger and Nancy Schnabel, and his brother Payson come from a long line of miners.
He started working as a miner when he was only FIVE years old, which is crazy. He became very involved in running Big Nugget, the mining business that his grandfather John Schnabel owned.

Parker has to put out millions of dollars to run his operation and holds 100% of the liability for his mining operation. The pay scale that was mentioned is starter pay with no experience. The longer you work for Parker, the higher the pay rate. It's unfair to question the long hours the employees work because they are not working year round. It's the way the mining business is and not just how Parker runs his business solely. If you want to feel bad for people, think about how Todd Hoffman worked his crew for the same long hours and sent them home broke.

That young man at 16 years old had more ambition than his grandfather. His grandfather was a hobbyist miner. Sure, Parker had to learn patients and people skills, but he built a mining business he grandfather could only dream of. His grandfather was proud of him and amazed by his accomplishments.

These people work long hours, but still take home more money working a few months a year than working an 8 hour year round job. That's if they can find a job. You're talking about remote areas where jobs are extremely limited.

Most of the mining is done on already mined land. You need a trip to. Ak. Or Yukon Territory. Talk to the people and pay attention to history, youngster.
