    Awesome job. Adding the display for the kestrel was a good choice. That’s gonna be hugely helpful to guys less familiar with kestrels.

    Super helpful video, finally got some clarity on shooting movers. Applied the ambush method today at rocklake, super happy with the results almost cleaned the mover! Great videos guys, thanks.

    Great video, I sure miss shooting at Rock Lake. Hopefully they open the border up some time soon. Yes I’m Canadian, kind of embarrassed to admit it the way our government is. Looking forward to the next video. Thanks.

    I understand all of this but for the life of me cannot figure out why I have no problems going left to right but for some reason right to left is a struggle. Then again I don't get to shoot movers that often so it is likely a practice issue.

    • @longrangewiththelillys1221
      @longrangewiththelillys1221  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I seriously have the same issue. I’m good one way but the other I struggle! Don’t know why! Kili

    • @Prometheuss.cannabis.corner
      @Prometheuss.cannabis.corner 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Most of the time when I see someone struggling going 1 way its because wind, so your 1 mil hold works great 1 direction but it should be 1.3 mils the other way and they keep missing behind it barely. So always dial wind on movers.

    • @longrangewiththelillys1221

      @@Prometheuss.cannabis.corner I always dial my wind for this reason as well - Kili

    Thanks for this- if there’s wind does the kestrel fig that all in on the lead with a predetermined wind measurement or do u just deduct normal holds after the kestrel fig ur solution? Thanks Jeff

    I would like to see the body mechanics of how you guys track the target by moving the rear... Bag orientation, placement, just how far you can track before you have to step... Things like that. I always seem like I'm bobbing up and down when I track

    • @longrangewiththelillys1221
      @longrangewiththelillys1221  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      This is really situationally dependent. It’s hard to apply a “rule of thumb” for that.

  • @iamsomebodynobody
    @iamsomebodynobody 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Great video, just try to clarify my understanding for the readings you mentioned in the video: at 5:42 your Kestrel reads at 400(yards) 1.45Lead, but you were saying 1.6Lead? Am I missing something? My understanding is you use the lead time from Kestrel at given distance minus the half of the target width in mils, that is how to calculate the ambushing, correct?

    • @longrangewiththelillys1221
      @longrangewiththelillys1221  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes - we mention in the video that the info shown on the Kestrel is different than what is said because Mike’s kestrel has HIS guns data, which is different than Scott’s, so the lead times are different.

    great video but I don't understand why focus on the leading edge and not just focus on the center of the target ?

    • @longrangewiththelillys1221
      @longrangewiththelillys1221  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Some people find focusing on the lead edge gives a more defined aiming point. Especially with the ambushing method. Holding to the middle of the plate is a more difficult task for some people. In the end it is a lot of user preference
