Nick Lowe with an acoustic guitar is another league. Hall and Wolk working hard to keep up with him. Great sense of groove and great set of lyrics.
CTBK is one of the most under appreciated hits of the 70s. I fell in love with it at first listen. It never got enough play rotation to suit me and I still love it to this day.

Nick Lowe is a true British icon treasure, in the end becoming a great producer saw a young talented singer Elvis Costello and took him under his wing managed him producing his first album Nick was instrumental with "Pump it up" song .... remember seeing Nick with Dave Edmonds when Nick wore the Green Joker suit with question marks all over it... was just one incredible memory from the 1979 classic years ... What a voice both Nik and Darryl T-bone was one incredible legend touring with Hall & Oats playing bass and on all their albums three incredible maestros in their own category.. ☝️🤩🙏

Saw Hall & Oates on the Old Grey Whistle Test in '75 and I was blown away in a very significant way, a musical game changer for me. I love the look of joy on Darryl's face as he gets into this song.

DAMN good, gentlemen. I usually find informal jam versions of hit songs to be junk, but this is fantastic. You maintain melodic and instrumental structure throughout, and the vocals are DAMN STRONG, with beautiful and clean harmonies.
