Everything was explained very well, but voice volume is low and when you half way through the video put a freaking rock-metal song to twice the colume, it does melt my brains out :D
11:05 is that index tab suppose to already be on the vehicle before you put the strut back in? I've replaced my strut mounts on both sides twice now and I've never seen the tab by itself stuck on the vehicle. I suspect that it wasn't suppose to be there because once the three bolts were tightened with the torque wrench, the nut closest to the tab didn't have as many threads on the bolt shaft as the other two did at 14:07 . The tab is also missing at 5:35 on the old strut mount.
Is there an option to replace the 3 bolts attached to the upper strut mount (that thing in your hand) with longer bolts? if so, pls. let me know the size and grade of that bolt. Thanks.
Our passenger side strut mount broke just because we jacked the car up on one side to fix the balljoint on the driver side. I've never seen this happen in my life only on a bmw. 😑

What were your symptoms when they failed or were failing?
The cv axle can't just slide out, it would need to be popped out with a fork or prybar.
