The Song to Shandi (Records of the Grand Historian?) has me thinking..... They create a "myth" that is very similar to the Bible's account of the flood, and they also have a "myth" of the creation which is VERY similar to Genesis 1.... Then hundreds of years later, Genesis was written by Moses and it's remarkably similar to the Chinese myth?
Did the Chinese writer make a VERY LUCKY GUESS to write nearly the same story that "God breathed" into Moses and Moses wrote into Genesis hundreds of year later?
The Chinese creation story had to have been passed down verbally. How did they know the creation story if it hadn't been shared with Moses yet?
That is a challenging one to think about my friends.

    • @TripSmith
      @TripSmith 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

Oh boy, then I continue watching and learn that ancient Chinese writing/symbols match the stories (Forbidden, First, Blessedness, Flood, etc.)
Sam said "Why in the world would the Chinese write the word like that?" With that much accuracy, why are we discounting their "myths"?
Then Will goes on to say "It almost seems like someone was reading the Bible as they built those."
Would it not make more sense to say, "It seems like Moses was reading this text when he wrote Genesis?"
All this is very incredible, subscribed. Keep posting!

Do you have reference materials for each episode?

    • @underthehoodFL
      @underthehoodFL  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

Absolutely, each episode is well-supported by reference materials to ensure the accuracy of the information we present. For example, our Star of Bethlehem episode is rooted in Rick Larson’s astronomical analysis, using NASA software to verify the celestial events. Similarly, the Shroud of Turin discussion includes evidence from radiocarbon dating, historical references, and scientific analyses, and our exploration of the Bible’s reliability draws on extensive manuscript studies and writings from early church fathers. We’re definitely considering creating a comprehensive reference guide in the future to make these materials more accessible to our audience. God

Great podcast! I love everything about it.
One of my favorite channels is "Expedition Bible". A channel that visits historical sites and tied archeology to the bible. This merged my love of the Lord and spiritual edification with my love for ancient history.
I noticed that you gave no credence to the other Mesopotamian gods. It seemed that you kept your conversation relegated to man and his rebellion and didn't mention what Paul would call, "the cosmic powers over this present darkness, and spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places".
It seems to me that these other cultures in ancient Mesopotamia believed their gods to be real and from a biblical perspective would be demonic in nature.
Dr. Michael Heiser has done a good job of expounding on this idea, mapping it in scripture, and putting it forward in his book "The Unseen Realm".
Curious if you have read the book and just disagree or if it didn't fit the mold of what you wanted for this particular episode?

Nimrod was used as a reference to a great hunter. We use nimrod as an insult today because of looney tunes. Bugs bunny would call Elmer Fudd nimrod to mock his hunting abilities. He was using it sarcastically, like when someone does something stupid and you call them Einstein. That flew over most people’s heads and they started picking it up as just an insult for a dumb guy. To continue my analogy, it’s like me calling someone Einstein after they trip and you hear me but have no idea who Einstein was so you start using his name to describe idiots and it sticks. That’s basically what happened with nimrod lol.

Babylon tower being destroyed seems to be about Mesopotamia/nimrod/nebuchadnezzer empire falling and how they was the middle men of the Silk Road. So the Silk Road stops until new empire can re start it by talking/understanding/translate to china/india. the Mesopotamian empire geologically is middle between Egypt and china/india. So confusion of language.

I recently started looking into the different backgrounds. Turns out Hindus begin with their God pulling the land out of the depths of the sea. So do the Egyptians. The Norse believe the ice melted giving way to the ice giant's. Now to hear Chinese culture had the same? Interesting. So they all have a water origin.

      different building materials.
      different shapes.
      literally, different times.
      but think about this..
      babylon, moon worshippers.
they are wiped out or at least thought to have been wiped out.. but they are still powerful.
      and the egyptians,
      (not the egyptians)
      who built the pyramids
(because egyptians didnt built the pyramids)
      their stuff stood the flood.
but babylon stuff is standing till the end times.
look at islam, then look at the bible.
its literally based off of babylonian pagan moon worship, but its very previlent today.
big big problem... to be solved by God's return.

who did you get this false info from?
God is not whoever that is.
and thats not even one of God's names.
The God of Israel is spirit.
      He never married.
He has no one above Him and the only time He came down was in Jesus' time.
      He didnt create death.
      and He is Love.
