Best job I ever had was being a cheesemonger in my undergrad. Right now I'm in graduate school but I have plans of opening my own cheese shop in the next few years. I absolutely love it.
Considering the number of likes this got i must be a cheese nerd because cheese is super interesting to me. Like how can it not blow your mind that you can ferment milk into hundreds of delicious and wildly different tasting kinds of cheeses. It's like alchemy!
And there is me, a French, watching this video and being like "Isn't it illegal to not like cheese ?", since it's very VERY unusal for a french person to don't like cheese. It's tradition xD
Ive got to say- I approached a cheese counter at Eatily as somone who really disliked anything other than parmesan reggiano or pecorino... the cheesemonger there introduced me to all sorts of things somewhat related to them... but things I never would have heard of or even considered just because I never thought of myself as someone who "liked cheese" The way you described it is great... Saying the kind of things you like and don't can give the expert a great starting point for recommendation. And unlike almost any other industry- you can sample the product here.

i used to eat processed cheese, until i got a box of cheddar, and slowly i tried older cheddar, like Mature Cheddar and i found i love it.. the tasty is stronger. i like to try out cheese but most places sell them in large blocks so i am afraid i cant finish it if i dun like it.. like Gouda, Edam etc.
Just started working in a cheese forward grocery spot, the visuals are awesome and great references! ESPECIALLY the cheeses for lactose intolerant people. I’ve never reacted o Parmesan, now I understand 😂

So what’s good for a cheese platter? I like Swiss cheese, cheddar cheese ,Monterey Jack, provolone, Kobe, mozzarella. One cheese I do not like and never have never will is Limburger. I like cream cheese also a lot of them that are flavored with some with chives or other foods. I don’t think I’ve had any cheese except what I’ve mentioned above I don’t know what goat cheese or any other type of cheese is but I would be willing to try. A nice cheese platter with the with it may be two or three bites of you know maybe like 25 different cheeses or something would be really nice!!
Finally someone who understands me, processed cheese is not real cheese, i love cheese and milk, but if i eat processed cheese on a pizza or a burger i feel like im dying and I vomit the food. Im probably intolerant of one of the things they put on the process.
So I had the great experience during my elementary days in french class where my teacher bought and brought in cheese for us to have and I believe it was blue cheese and brie tbat I liked though it had been a long time since then and it just brought up fond memories I forgot I even had

😍 i like cheese but there are only limited amount of cheese here in Singapore. And one i hate the most are the blue cheese or maybe i don't know what goes together with the blue cheese. But overall, if i have the opportunity to try everything cheese i would get my hands dirty just to taste each and every one of them cheese.

as a turophile, im absolutely shocked by the way she's storing the cheese in her shop. That's horrible: from the plastic, to the ''open'' space with who knows what temperature, to the fact that all the cheese types are crowded together, to the light getting to the cheese etc..
I don't have cheese, I remember going to fridge when I was little to constantly eat those square cheddar Kraft cheese...I stopped out of the blue (pun not intended) and just didn't like cheese on it's own. I like it on burgers, sandwiches, pizza, macaroni and cheese. And I want to make homemade pizza and I see a lot of these white Mexican product of queso and I have no idea how much they're worth it. I don't mean price I mean taste. I'm willing to try but cheese can be expensive.
Look for Cabot's cheddar cheese. It's real cheese, and not so expensive. Mozzarella is a mild cheese and melts well. It's the kind that comes on pizza. You might like to try fresh mozzerella.
I love cheese that costs $4 at my local market. Cheesemonger: pay me $200 and let me tell you about a similar cheese you can buy only in October that costs $500 a pound.
Cheese ,butter ,lots of suger, caramel sauce ,marshmallow for sure These are the things I hate like I never ever have this not to maintain my figure but I don't like its taste but 99% people die for these things and yes I hate cream and frostings too being a food writer sometimes I think I am extremely strange like why I am so picky about my food and my favorite things are pasta ,coffee , cakes and redmeat and chicken these can be my staple food for ever cause I die for this and yes I forget to say that this is the truth that cheese are healthy if you consum them in a correct portion and mozzarella is so good for boobs and belly I have a nice size of boobs beacuase there were a time when I used to push myself to have at least 4 gm of cheese but I could not eat that for more than 2 days love you guys
