This song and performance is out of the World. Floor operatic voice, Markos bass sounds awesome, Tuomas "playing" the keys. All of it, so entertaining❤🎉
Doing her best Tarja imprersonation on this one. It's probably the only one of her songs that she doesn't change the style for.

I was a Nightwish fan during the Tarja era who fell away during the Annette era. This video of Floor singing an oldie is what encouraged me to check them out again in this new era. And boy, am I glad that I did.

when you asked if Floor even "knows".. if you remember her reacting to Wacken GLS she even said that she gets emotional even listing, to herself..Dominikas' look at 3:27..priceless
In this concert they also play the song Endless Forms Most Beautiful LIVE (very underrated in my opinion) and Weak Fantasy is also a must.

This Tampere show was 2015. It hadn't been played since before Tarja left in 2005. Operatic songs like this didn't fit very well with Anette's more pop/rock style, so this was one of the songs that got put away. The song is from the 1998 2nd album, Oceanborn.
They brought this one back here because Floor can do it, and the song fit in with the Endless Forms Most Beautiful album themes.
'Never finish when they are supposed to'. That's a good song, always leave the listener wanting more.☺

You are absolutely right, never enough and she is the Queen, best singer in the World! But, what and who gives her the "possibility" to really use her potential and makes the Queen even better and better by challenging her to be the absolute best version of her? Nobody writes, compose, create art/songs like this better than "the Metal Mozart" and the rest of the gang does everything so masterfully together that it seems so "easy" and relaxing, but in reality it has taken years to master their instruments to such high level, that they are able to play these masterpieces so tight but at the same time it almost looks like they are just having fun in a "local high school band". And when you put all these components together, well, "I would die just to hear you singing and playing in Heaven". Best Regards from Finland!!

As this tour is about evolution, Floor is dressed as the mother goddess Gaia, with DNA strands depicted on her dress. This song was not written for the EFMB album, but was composed by a very young Tuomas (at the age of 18?). The theme of this song however fits the EFMB subject perfectly (“Tragedienne of heaven” being planet earth as the theater stage for the ongoing tragedy AKA evolution AKA “The greatest show on earth”)🤓

I gush over Floor's voice all the time, and she always smiles and says thank you. To answer your question though, no, Floor has no idea how great her voice is, and part of her charm.
As you can probably guess. This is an older Tarja era song. Thus the operatic vocal style from Floor.
They always leave you wanting more. Just like the greatest drug. I am addicted!

Thats excactly what I think. Specialy about Floor. I love the whole band, of course Tuomas has a special place in my heart for all these emotions, but Floors voice brings me so often to tears. When she does her operatic-Voice, thats so beautiful. When she do that there are areas in my brain and in my heart what she is touching with her voice. I think you feel it too 🙂. Great reaction!

The Tuomas/Emppu duel is fantastic and I love that old synth-style patch Tuomas uses.

One of the rare instances of Floor singing a Tarja era song the way it's supposed to be sung.
Added bonus: Floor's modified classical style allows for more agility, so she doesn't 'drag' the music like certain songsters would. She even manages to add some of her famed vocal colouring as well. So I'll up you one and claim that this might be the first time this early Nightfeesh song was delivered the way it's supposed to 😁
If only our dear MM would allow Floor to deploy this weapon of mass seduction more frequently, like she did in her AF & ReVamp days.. A faint hope probably, but Cheers to that! 🤘

Right. 'Modified classical" is a good description. I love this 'faux opera' style. She doesn't need to go full operatic when singing with a microphone. Less weight to her voice and a narrower vibrato make for much clearer pronunciation and more agility, which is important when the song is so fast and there are so many words. I think the first part of Shoemaker too would've sounded better if sung in this style.
O.T. I actually watched the recording of the stream. Apparently, Floor doesn't know who played the piano on... whatever that 'nightmare' of a song is called. To me, it shows how little she cares.☹
