I've decided to get into map making for SnowRunner, even though i don't even play the game. Just been very fascinated with landscapes lately with winter revealing so much of it, and want to recreate what i see around me to the highest level of scale and accuracy. Wish i had of gotten into Unreal environments instead. So much more creative freedom and potential.
Hey there! so in the version of errant landscape i just got from you guys, the weightmap process, and interface is a bit different from what you have shown in this video. Is there an updated video or documentation on how to get the weightmaps in in the new version? I can't seem to get it figured out.
Hello! I followed the exact same process but at 14:42 " actor class to spawn" is not accepting the brushes, is it because of the " physical materials needed to be rebuilt " ? Thank you so much for the tutorial!
Hi I have get today the Trieal Version and so far it works very well, bit i cant make the Texture unblurry, unless i set the Streaming Pool Size. Is it because of the Trial ?
I didn't see you present the path (Road) system noir the building adjusting the landscape thing? I would really want to see more of that. Since Im considering a buy here snd theres alot of systems offering that but I want something that do everything I need.. Also I dont remember asking, if I could use my own landscape material? Since im guessing your biome system has maybe nothing to do with textures?
You can see Errant Paths in our Inside Unreal livetream (th-cam.com/users/liveYH37cL0cENc?si=EgBR37TruaURx-kT&t=5014). Yes, you can use any landscape material with our tools.
Disappearing is probably caused by World Partition. You could assign the Species to a different Runtime Grid in Species->Instance Settings. Then set the streaming distance for that new Grid to a much larger value in World Settings->Runtime Settings->Grids. Please join our Discord if you need more help.
You should have a tutorial for idiots like myself that does not even know where to copy in any of your stuff... I am not a professional UE developer. I am simply trying to recreate a world I have created for a fiction novel and would like to create it as close as possible to what I imagined it to be like so I can add some screenshots with my novel. Too much time and money to waste if there isn't any intro tutorial for this
This is a fantastic add-on and nothing short of necessary for large map generation. Thanks for this great live stream tutorial.
Great tools. Needs more simple short tutorials to get people going.

Thank you so much for this plugin ☺️☺️ i fixed the problem by replacing textures manually and deleting the extra folder for material, thank you again
Hi! Great tools, currently testing the trial version. Question: Will there be more tutorials on Errant Landscapes and Errant Biomes? When to expect?
There will be more, but not within a month. Making polished tutorials is very time consuming and that's why we are moving towards livestreams.
Are you streaming anywhere besides TH-cam? @@errantphoton
@@igorthenomad No, for now only on YT
@@errantphoton great! Looking forward to your new streams! 🔥

Certainly not because of the trial. You can ask this question on our Discord. It's hard to understand the issue without a screenshot/video.

which setting should i change to make all the trees always visible even when they"re far? i turned on nanites but they dissappear when they're far

Any news on the runtime seed based landscape generation?
We did a lot of progress in that regard. Please message Daniel on our Discord for more info.
