No matter how many times i've watched the conversation between Nijika and Bocchi at the end, it still made me cry every single time. Thank you Aki Hamaji for writing such an inspirational story, and thank you Cloverworks for making such a hell of an adaptation.
Bocchi hit me on so many personal level. Like when I was young I worked at a restaurant, I couldn't skew a living prawn to grill, All the time I stare at the it thinking what to do, which sentences to ask for guidance, what if they found out a big guy like me is scared of butchering living things. Then my boss caught me and scream "The F* are you staring at for 30mins???". Another time I got a class reunion, I'm afraid to refuse so I roll shirtless on the floor hoping to get a cold (got an unexpected cold 1 week after the meeting) All the stupidest things an extrovert wouldn't understand.
Hope things are better now for you. I remember my first job was at McDonalds- when they put me at cash register I was so bad at communicating with customers they sent me right to the back to make burgers only. I worked hard to improve myself and ended up going into healthcare to help out patients.
