    You can always get a former military Pelican(Hardigg), ECS Loadmaster, or Zero. These are all made in the USA and are built to higher specs than the civilian cases.

    A few things.... first I need to start by thanking you for your service to our country..... me and you are total strangers and before I found your channel (yesterday 10/15/21) I had no idea who you even were but I’m honestly and truly very grateful and thankful for your service 🙏🏼🇺🇸 your channel was recommend on my homepage... it was your molle truck bed video... I watched that one then binged on at least another 1.5 hours of your videos lol....man your content and editing is top shelf bro for real.... I really appreciate all your videos because it’s all stuff I’m into also... before this comment gets any longer I just wanted to say thanks again for these awesome videos and I’m so glad I found your channel... aloha and blessings from a new sub in Hawaii 🤙🏼🙏🏼

    This is the first video of yours I've seen. I have to say mate, I like your bar setup ... !!! ... I think Pelican is the go to case, even though they're expensive. Here in the UK, you can't get all the models, only some. So when I make my trips to the US, I'll sometimes get the big ones to bring back with me. Shipping empty cases is hard to do as you're just shipping air.

    The one thing I find in most boxes/cases is that they are deep and that lends to stacking things on top of each other.
    I use a surplus aluminum medical chest. It’s durable and air tight, just shy of 12” deep.
    It’s not perfect but it’s about half the price.

    I went with the 125BX and the Tacoma brackets. I have the Retrax MX Pro so I’m gonna stuff this box just in front of the box that holds the reel for the Retrax. That way I don’t have to worry about shit banging into the Retrax box and I’ve got a space in the bed that’s 100% truly waterproof. The Retrax is pretty good but not waterproof…I wouldn’t put a pistol in a bag back there for instance.
    For over the cab on the rack I’m prob gonna go Roam because they have (although the price is breathtaking) the very best quick attach/detach system around.

    👍 for the algorithm. Roto-molded means its hollow inside = not very strong, but light and semi-flexible. Consider looking at Milwaukee Packout toolboxes, they are built from composite resin, are waterproof, have die cut Kiazen foam inserts available, have a couple of nice mounting options, have a couple rolling versions, they interconnect, come in multiple sizes, Less expensive than any of the boxes in the video, and are available in your favorite color (as long as your favorite color is red).

    • @Eezyriderr1
      @Eezyriderr1 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can fill those with insulation foam (like Good Stuff brand) too. A couple small holes, pump it in and your good. Makes for a good cooler.

    you can definitely mount the roam in your truck bed if you have a bed front molle like I do. Drill 2 holes on the back of the case and get you a u bolt. bolt it onto your molle (with the nuts on the inside of the case for security).

    Great video! Was looking at the roam rugged cases as they’re a “decent” case but wasn’t fully impressed by the quality. The pelican in the size I want from local dealers (Canada) are between 20% to 30% higher price compared to similar size roam but as I’m not selling my truck anytime soon, the increased price isn’t as much of a problem for me.
    Actually disappointed in yt as your channel is in my wheelhouse and should have been suggested.

    I have heard good things about ROAM boxes, especially they have like a 80 something liter that’s real low profile and flat for roof racks and stuff, so it will be interesting to see how it does because I had contemplated getting one next time I need another, I currently use a really nice Hardig case.

    • @PittiesAndMore
      @PittiesAndMore 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have two of the ROAM 83L on my roof rack. They are great but I live where the summers get well above the upper 90°f and 100°+f. The lids warp in that kind of heat. ROAM replaced the boxes but they are not going to hold up after this summer. It's a nice box if you don't live where the summers aren't hot.

    Enjoyed watching this comparison. Interesting to hear that the Roam felt cheaper then the others. Couple of gripes: you said the word accessory about 20 times so I have to say this - it’s pronounced AK-SESS-ORY. First C is hard. Are you sure that Roam cases are made in the USA? I doubt it because they are extremely shy on their website about country of origin. Almost without exception, made in the USA is a big selling point and is splashed around liberally. Overall this was a helpful guide. Keep up the good work 🍻
