I think his work should be held higher than TV programmes as he is self-driven, has no bias and puts no bias across in his content, is just always the reality of the situation, no filters. He also has insane courage to go to places like Afghanistan, Venezuela ect, two of which people would call the most dangerous places on earth to be. Afghanistan especially in his case being a westerner.

"I'm alive, and that's a reason to be happy"
We forget that simple things in life we have that others don't , which if they had, they would be extremely happy, and yet, we are unhappy with our lives. We don't have cancer, we are not about to die from AIDS, we are not living on the street, all that shit, should be enough to make us happy, because with all that shit, someone out there would be endlessly happy. For someone out there, having you life, as bad as you might think it is, for them, it would be their life resolved. Even you, if you lost what you have, you would appreciate, so why not, be concious about it, and appreciate it now? Be happy now. You, I, we shoud be.

This guys by far is my favorite. One of the best things about him is his spirit. All my associates can't seem believe my reaction and think I would freak about his way of life. One .. I don't personally know him 5o pass judgement on his views and how he goes about things. Second I've gotten a lot older AND have not been to as many foreign countries but I've been around or pale blue dot a few times and I'll tell you from personally experiences... Live. Take those chances. Don't be stupid. If your white western or something that screams "spoiled western' then don't be dumb or loose going to that dark alley alone or flashing your fancy new GoPro at the wrong station.. but don't be super duper overly secure. You will miss out on ALOT. This guy has mastered this way of moving around the planet and has obviously earned great respect and seems to oozebit as well. Hello. I really thank you for this videos.
I am from Austria and my wife is from Afghanistan. She had to leave the country in the age of twelve and came as a refugee to Austria where I met her. We are living at the moment in Australia. My wife is studying as a phd, how to empower women in Afghanistan.
You helped me to see her country from different and beautiful sides. Thank you for that.
And it was me an honour to donate to UNICEF.
    Merry Christmas

Me being an American the only thing I've really ever none about Afghanistan was that they want war because that's how the media presents Afghanistan but after watching a lot of videos like this video from Multiple youtubers who visit Afghanistan and speak to locals I've learned that its not the people of Afghanistan who want war, its the Government who wants war. The people of Afghanistan are extremely nice and pleasant. Most welcome tourist and want tourist to enjoy Afghanistan and that is the reason I'm going to Afghanistan mid 2020. It also seems like the locals help tourist feel safe. At least that's how I see it.

Thanks to the US controlled Afghan government ): the will of the people of Afghanistan doesn't mean a damn thing to the murderous occupier the US military, and the Afghan people suffer immensely because of the fascists. There is no democracy in Afghanistan thanks to the USA and contrary to popular pro-American propaganda, the people don't support Karzai or Ghani, who both US puppets who were not voted in by the people but installed in government by the US imperialist invaders.

Man. First, just to qualify, I've been subscribed for a while. I'm familiar with your work and I love it. But make no mistake, my first thought with may of your destinations is that you're crazy. Not just "wow, you're adventurous" or "wow, you're brave"...nope. Your content is way beyond that (obviously). Not gonna lie, there are times that I've feared for your life, and well, holy sh*t, Afghanistan bro? I mean...wow. I'm not even sure where you can go next that would top this just in terms of putting yourself potentially in harm's way.
But credit where it's due. You've got a way of humanizing the scene, and maybe it's you and your personality...but people seem to connect with you and gravitate to you. I think it helps that you're a New Zealander. The perception is that you're ok. You're neutral. You're not a threat. I guess in Afghanistan, a white guy's a white guy, but Caucasians from a lot of other countries would likely be perceived differently (maybe I'm wrong). But I do think it's an advantage for you and what you're doing, and it says something about the country you're from. And I think that's something to be proud of mate.
Not sure if I have an actual message here, but just wanted to say that I think you're an incredibly special person, and that what you're doing is not only amazing but also IMPORTANT. Thank You for what you're doing. Thank You. It's a view that we're never offered that's untainted by the lens of some new organization's bias. It's pure. And it's amazing.
    Thank You.
