There are at least 2 different side covers. One version actually has very little space between the motor and the cover. In this case I recommend to place the tuning on the right side of the motor. There is enough space there. See also following picture: www.volspeed.de/WebRoot/Store25/Shops/83313866/MediaGallery/Downloads/Giant_Pro2_Alt.jpg
As with other modifications to the e-bike, warranty claims against the dealer or manufacturer of the e-bike will be voided or severely limited by the use of a tuning module. You can find Giant's warranty conditions for GB here: www.giant-bicycles.com/gb/warranty
Yes, you can also use tuning without a display. However, the setting values will of course not be displayed. You can easily retrofit a Bluetooth display, such as Ride Dash Plus, to your bike. You can also use the Ride Control app.
No, this tuning is not suitable for this bike. This chip only works for the Syncdrive Sport2 and Pro2 motor. Our item no. 1234 is suitable for the Syncdrive Pro. Link to product: www.volspeed.de/epages/83313866.sf/en_GB/?ViewObjectPath=%2FShops%2F83313866%2FProducts%2F1234
DONT DO IT …..DONT. Giant software is actually looking for chips It locks the motor out then the giant dealer reads the codes and starts laughing Trust me
Hi VOLspeed, maybe you can help me with this. I'm trying to install a Ridedash EVO on a 2022 Giant Trance E+1. Typically it comes with no instructions. My understanding is that it 'T's into the cable for the RideControl Ergo 3 (the 3 button controller). I was able to easily find that connector but when I plugged the Ridedash in, then plugged the buttons into the other part of the 'T'. But the screed doesn't turn on. The buttons still work though so it's passing a signal through. Just nothing on screen. The connector had an 'L' label on it. I can't see any other connectors up there. My SmartGateway is the latest version. Can this installation be done at home or is it a 'dealer only' thing?
You can easily perform the installation yourself. However, the EVO is not connected between ERGO and GO+, but between GO+ and motor. The L and R connectors are for the Ergo. The Y-cable for the EVO can be connected to the third connector of the GO+.
Hi, I have a 2023 giant reign e+2 does this work with this model and does updating the software of my motor affect the operation of this device please?
Yes, this product works with the 2023 giant reign e+2. After installing a tuning, we generally advise against software updates. Of course, new software can negatively affect the function of the tuning. As a tuning manufacturer, we unfortunately have no influence on the software development at Giant.
Everything works the same way with the Ride Control app. You only use the app as a display here. It is important to start a riding in the app, otherwise the values are updated very slowly. We have shown the use of the app together with another tuning: th-cam.com/video/urb_VntxCBk/w-d-xo.html
Hi Volspeed. I have a 45km/h bike. But it shuts off on 42km/h. Would it be possible to remove the 42km/h limitation and upping it to 45 with this module?
I did not know until now that there are already 45km / h versions of the Syncdrive Pro2 / PW-X3. Sure that it is this motor? You can also simply send us a link to your bike by email, then we check it.
The tuning has only been on the market for a week. So far, there is no negative feedback from customers. On our test bike, we have covered a little over 1000km fault-free.
No, this tuning is only compatible with the Syncdrive Pro2. The Stance is equipped with the Syncdrive Sport. For that, you need a tuning module that is suitable for this motor, e.g. our VOLspeed V4 for Giant Syncdrive Sport / Pro V4 (P/N 1234).
Unfortunately, we have not yet made a video for this module together with the Ride Control app. However, you are welcome to watch an older video with the V3 version of the module, which also shows the operation with the app: th-cam.com/video/urb_VntxCBk/w-d-xo.html
After about 200kms - works beautifully. No more 25kmh limit and motor works just as smoothly as originally. Love it!
cool. how do you find it affects the range though?
The mileage has changed, can you reset it
Just installed mine. The installation was a bit fiddly since there's not much space.
Will be reporting back as soon as i've ridden with it.

Can the module be enabled/disabled while biking?
Will it work for Giant Stormguard e+2 2024 ? and also will it show correct data on the display (speed, cadence etc..)?
Does a speedbox effect warranty
I need this information too.

Have you tested the tuning removal. Is there information left in the log? Does the service notice the removal of the tuning?
I have a 2022 reign e3 will it work with no dash displays please?
Yes, you can also use tuning without a display. However, the setting values will of course not be displayed. You can easily retrofit a Bluetooth display, such as Ride Dash Plus, to your bike. You can also use the Ride Control app.

If I remove this device does it leave any evidence to giant that it’s been altered?
Can i do an ebike update with volspeed connected?
This product is outdated now. When will you release a new version for 2024 bicycles?
Out of interest, what bike do you have ?
I’ve got the 2024 reign E+1
Super video.
Verratet ihr mir welche Text-To-speech Software ihr benutzt habt?

Is the VOLspeed V4 Tuning Chip compatible with a Giant Roam E+ GTS 2022?
Is there anyone that can confirm what firmware this is working with please?
Does this work on the Giant Stance E+ 1?
No, this tuning is only compatible with the Syncdrive Pro2. The Stance is equipped with the Syncdrive Sport. For that, you need a tuning module that is suitable for this motor, e.g. our VOLspeed V4 for Giant Syncdrive Sport / Pro V4 (P/N 1234).
@@volspeedebiketuning4391 thanks for the reply. 👊🏼

No. Of course, it also works only with one display. Or even without a display with the RideControl app.
