    Any tips to texturing on curved surfaces?

    • @FromASeed
      @FromASeed  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Always usae a pratice piece first with any texturing, otherwise it's not that much different, just hard to hold sometimes.

    Very informative video - thanks. However the picture as shown on YT is a different facet. Do you have one with ‘flat’ facets?

    • @FromASeed
      @FromASeed  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks, the facets are not flat :)

    I have a problem with pricing. How would you even start calculating a price for a piece like this? Is there a formula?

    • @FromASeed
      @FromASeed  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I just use a combo of a set hourly rate as well as the difficulty of the piece. It takes a while to get the idea :)

    I'm new to turning. I've been in construction my whole adult life. Always dreamt of turning. Made the decision finally, got a lathe then tools. Carbide. Then traditional. Then all I've worked with is dry, precut lumber. Finding the wood, milling it down, Ive found there is a lot more involved. It's the most satisfying think I've done to date. These videos are so great. Awesome work
