Nothing is more precious than an instrument crafted by an independent builder as your video clearly illustrates. The locals delight in reducing light, bright, chiffy instruments into reborn Moller clod squawks by nicking pipes. They took a Visser-Rowland and "enhanced" it with digital Rodgers technology...... groan. It's like allowing children to a repair a Swiss watch with a hammer & screwdriver.
Wow, never knew that they had full sounding pipe organs THAT small. I have heard positiv organs before and being that they are portable (and usually played sitting on someone's lap) they have a thinner sound than a full pipe organ, but this? This sounds fantastic and amazingly full for such a small organ. It does have me reconsidering if a REAL pipe organ has a place in a home environment. Seeing this video, I would say that is a resounding, 'YES!'
Thanks, icanuri! It's not a piece, I'm afraid. I was just improvising, playing a few quick chords before we had to leave. It sure was an awesome little organ.
me thinks the 4 thumbs down/dislikes if because they are either a troll doing what they do on internet OR they're jealous they don't have one like this....i mean whats not to love about this?
No! Mr. Tsuji is unfortunately no longer with us, and I am really curious about any tracker organs being voiced to sound like a Wurlitzer. (Wurtilizer! Hah!!) We'll fix 'em!
It is possible to enjoy this sound and others as well, up to and including a Wurlitzer. and I do. To try to make either sound like the other is both wrong and impossible.
I was just improvising. I only had a few minutes to record the sounds of the organ, so I improvised a little. As an organ voicer (and organist) it's really important to be able to hear the pipes that are being worked on, especially in different ranges. It's an important skill for us! Hope you liked it.
Die Töne der Gedacktpfeifen 8' spucken etwas zu sehr für meinen Geschmack... Schön aber, daß ein Regalregister vorhanden ist, das macht sich immer gut.
Boy, that little organ is loud and bright sounding. How come? Is it on hi-pressure and voiced open toe or loudly ?? I like the sound of it, except I think the flute chiffs too much and could use some nicking and cut-up.
The stops are all independent, since they are on a slider chest. A 4' Principal would be very difficult to fit in that little case, and actually a flute is more useful, since it is not so loud. The 4' Gedackt works surprisingly well, but I think a 4' Rohrflute would have been even better!
That's a LOT of organ in a small space. Beautifully voiced and considerable variety of tone with just four stops. Great stuff!
i was shocked to hear that regal stop! incredible!
If I only had the money, I'd order one today! How miserable it is to hear music in my head and not have any instrument to play it on.
and you are not alone for the monetary part
That is such a great instrument,, and so well planned out! Mr. Tsuji could sure cram pipes into every inch of space! A true master without a doubt!
Wonderful informal performance!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you sir!!
Thank you! I hope to be back there next year.
That regal stop is amazing! It almost sounds like a state trumpet!LOL!
Thank you, Christopher, for the nice performance on this sweet little organ!
That 8' regal sounds almost like a state trumpet!LOL!
WOW lovely little instrument and room!
Love the sound of the Gedackts on this little organ.
Renaissance music is just magnificent❤️

amazing versatility for such a compact instrument. I love the spanish horn type voice
Sounds like a whole little ensemble with krummhorns and dulcians, lovely.
Beauty for ear and eye! Thanks! Superb acoustics for an organ!
WHen I get settled in with my own house etc. I will buy one of these! They are so amazing!
Tiny yet incredibly powerful and rich!

What you describe is called a "portitiv" organ.
A noble instrument. Thanks.
Love those reeds.
Wonderfully

MAGIC.....Thank you!!
very strong regal
Love that regal!
Beautiful!
so sweet!
In small organs like that, the taller wood pipes also serve as side panels for the instrument structure.

sounds great!
tsuji-san is in heaven. we're stuck with the stuf he left.
Organ heaven, no doubt. He left us some nice stuf[sic]!
Suuuuuper 😊
Cool, i like that 👍
Fantastic! For a little organ it sure is packed full and and pack a punch too!
What is done to the pipes to make the flutes have such open voiceing? Such a clear sound.
Muito bonito.
beautiful organ! especially the regal stop! Was it all improvised?
Nice

Me too!!
I think this beautiful regal stop is a trompetenregal

What songs were you playing?

In Germany we say: "8-4-2-Schrei" (Bawler). 😅
Ha! 8-4-2 Scream!

Piccolino, ma ha dei suoni stupendi
What, or which, songs did you play on this organ?
Unless the 4' Gedackt was from the same rank as the 8', why not put a Principal there?
