Always nice to work with you, Forrest, on these POTAs. I heard my signal. It was very weak (NN2X), and I had to swing my Hex beam around, but by the time we did our exchange on this POTA, QSO was over! Having said that my Hex beam is only it is 10 ft above the ground! You have a Great fist, Forrest; congrats, and yes, perfect speed for me, CU AGN on the bands! DE NN2X / Tom

19:45 It sounded like a bug to me. He was going quick though, so It was less clear. Bug will do the dits "automatically", until the spring mechanism runs out of... energy? At that point it'll just make a constant tone. Dahs are all on you. I was team paddles-only until I decided to take out a straight key on an activation. What humbling experience.
37:10 I wouldn't want to be a fish either, it would be hard to do CW 😆

@@CoaxAndCampstools beginning of the year when I knew nothing about Morse code I bought a straight key and was getting my butt kicked. I remember when I found out about iambic paddles and got one I was like “you’ve got to be kidding me.” Compared to the straight key… it was a cheat code. But, I do have an appetite to try something at list for a little more manual. I’ll keep practicing with my straight key but maybe I’ll really love a bug? I think I saw W4ARB activate with a cootie once. So awesome. Thanks for watching man! 73

Bugs are fun and very unique. I’ve never seen anyone activate with a bug.

@@JayN4GO I might get my feet wet with a bug here soon. If I can gain some proficiency with one I’d love to activate with it!
