What a blessing this video is! Thank you for taking the time to make it and share. I’m 35 weeks with baby number 3 and looking forward to (Lord willing) a smooth, beautiful home birth and meeting my first daughter in a matter of weeks. ❤️
I just gave birth 12 weeks ago, and seeing your birth vlogs... I wasn't to be pregnant again just to give birth. I'm so obsessed with taking about childbirth. I truly love it. And like you said, birth doesn't have to be something to get done quick and be over with.. surrendering to the pain and bring in worship is so beautiful 😍
Thank you so much for this video! The most beautiful and inspiring one I've seen. I'm 27 weeks pregnant of my first child, and I'm preparing for a natural birth, in the water, without intervention because, yes, I trust my body and the baby, and I'm made for it. We women were made for it. You really inspired me! Thanks.
Thank you for this! I’m currently 35 weeks with my fourth and have been trying to get mentally prepared. My first was stillborn on his due date due to a knot in the cord and I have struggled with fear in all of my pregnancies and births. This will be my last and I’m determined to have a faith-filled, redemptive birth experience. This video was beyond encouraging!
Praying for you for your faith filled and redemptive experience. May God fill you with his perfect peace through your labor and health and fullness of joy for you and your baby.
I am so incredibly sorry to hear about your first. Sending you so much love and prayers for a positive and redemptive birth experience. Trauma from previous birth experiences is very real. I'm grateful you came across my video and found it to be encouraging. Standing in agreement for a faith filled birth experience for you ❤️
@@girlteachme thank you so much! 41 weeks tomorrow and scheduled for an induction Sunday night if he doesn’t come on his own by then. Praying and believing God to move!
This is the best, faith-filled birth story I've ever watched! This is exactly how I "plan" on my fourth home birth going in September, Lord-willing! My 8yo son, 6yo & 4yo daughters all want to be present, but especially our son. I have been slowly talking with them about what to expect when with labor & delivery, and today I started showing them some (pre-screened) videos of peaceful home births, which only made them more excited! My "best," easiest birth was, by far, my now 6yo, who came a week "early" so I didn't have all the things ready and my husband & I did a lot of prep work until I couldn't focus on anything but the contractions. Everything progressed so much faster, transition was quick - I didn't even have the "I can't do this!" moments as I did with #1 & #3 - so we called the midwife a little late... By the time they got there I had already been reflexively pushing for maybe 15 min....baby was born 10 min later! Keeping busy in early labor is Absolutely the key! I have a To-do list and activity list written down for when real labor starts. It's in order of getting everything ready first, then just either keeping busy by doing projects, baking, walking, taking a shower, dancing, making love with my husband (while the kids are asleep or watching a movie....and how far depends on if my water has broken), watching a funny movie/videos (keep the oxytocin flowing!), etc!
This video is so encouraging. I am planning my first homebirth in August, second birth, and I love watching biblical videos around natural birth. Thank you! God bless!
This was so encouraging to me Lana! I am 38 weeks pregnant and anxiously awaiting the birth of our third. Thank you for sharing this. It really helped me think about my mindset as I go into labor. Makes me cry thinking of when my sweet boys will meet my little baby girl.
Oh Katy sending love and prayers your way! Keep that image in my your mind and welcome every moment of discomfort to get your sweet baby girl in your arms to show your boys! You were made for this and so excited for you to meet her ❤
@@girlteachme Thank you so much for your prayers. I actually went into labor that night after I commented on this video and had her that very next morning! This was my first birth without an epidural and it went amazingly well, and I am recovering better than I have from any of my births. I honestly did remember a lot of what I heard from your videos, like remembering each contraction was bringing me closer to meeting my baby, and repeating that my body knows what to do and my baby knows what to do, and leaning into the discomfort knowing it was getting my baby out and into my arms. Thanks so much, God really used you to help me in my birth.
@@katypugh6492 YESSSS celebrating with you Katy! Best comment ever! Way to go and so glad God used this video to be help to you! He brought you through, ahhh just so happy for you! Enjoy those magical newborn moments what a gift!
This was such a sweet and beautiful video .. im pregnant with my 3rd with my 3rd c section scheduled . This video made me want to have a stronger relationship with Jesus , text close friends some of your encouraging words and cry all in one ! Thank you so much ❤️
This video is so impressive in so many ways. I honestly have no idea how Lena can do so much homemaking, care taking of her children and other housework while in hard labor and having contractions.
I'm due with my 3rd next week, hoping to have a completely new labor experience vs my first two. Thank you for this video and your faithful encouragement!
This is the most encouraging birth video I have watched. Just sharing the honesty of hesitation helped me tremendously because that’s currently where my headspace is at being 37 weeks with baby#4. For the entire pregnancy I’ve had nothing but happy anticipation and lately it’s just been filled with anxiety and the way you did this video was so incredibly encouraging.
Beautiful! Very inspiring mindset for labor. I've been watching positive birth stories in prep for my home birth with my fourth. 39 weeks today and been getting in my head a bit anticipating. This was very encouraging video.
Thank you for sharing this and how it’s affected your faith! As I was watching one of your other videos about Corey‘s birth, I was taking some of the things that you were saying and filling out my birth plan today. I’ve got 2 1/2 months left and I’ve been pretty scared about this one. Thank you for your encouragement! I think God has used you and your story!
So glad my story can be a comfort to you! Praying for a faith-filled birth full of worship and wonder and to have your sweet babe in your arms soon, also that you would learn something new about Jesus through this birth prep and birthing journey, that He would feel as near and dear as He truly is. Birth is such a wonder and we only get to do it a few times in our lives. Sending love for this journey Christy!
Thank you for sharing your inspirational video! I am 39 weeks with baby number 7, homeschooling, homemaking etc. i NEEDED to see this! ❤ We birth at home and it feels like the more we have the less prepared i am in some ways and more prepared in others! Enjoy your blessings❤
so glad I found your channel! had a really hard first birth and really excited to shift for next time and enjoy being strong and empowered and at rest in the Lords faithful arms
You are so so inspirational and such an amazing mom. God is working on you in such amazing ways, and your kids are so lucky to have you. Saving this video for sometime in the next 10-15 years- 😂.
Hi Lana! Thank you so much for putting your effort into filming and making this video, it's just beautiful ❤ I'm due next month with my 2nd baby. Your course gave me so much peace and faith that I can have very different experience than with my 1st. ❤ Can you share what podcast you were listening to during your walk? Greetings from Poland 😊
Ah so happy for you! And the podcast was YAP Hero on a Mission with Donald Miller. Also, I have a birth course that may be a help to you, it is everything I wish I knew the first go around. Sending love your way! www.laborwithoutfear.com/details

hey girl I tried clicking your link to see your website but it wouldn't work. prob my laptop but just wanted to let u know incase its across the board. Thanks for serving us other mamas with encouragement and helping us to heal from bad experiences with birth and grow forward. xo
Wow thanks so much for letting me know about my website. Working on fixing that, so glad you said something. And wow thank you for that encouragement, that is my very hope to see women have healing with birth ❤ It is an honor to be able to shar.
Congratulations! To all first time moms to be: Some women are able to work during labor. Very many are not. That's okay. We all have different levels of strength and health. If you are pregnant and you feel you need rest, that is important for you and your baby! Get help and if there is nobody to help you, the house will have to look after itself for some time. You can sit in bed and read to your children or if even that is too much, allow your children as much screentime as you need. This is not a perfect solution, but it is only for a short time and you should be "selfish" right now! Again - just saying this to women who may feel guilty watching the video but don't have as much strength.
I love the things we think we Have to do before a baby comes ie you cleaning spider webs off outside windows haha. One pregnancy I was getting really agitated that my fridge needed pulled out and cleaned underneath
I wanted a birth with no medication but that didn't work out I was scared and just the pain was so intense and that was just the contractions. I immediately got the epidural. I don't think I can go through labor and birthing without something. I'm on my second pregnancy now and watching this makes me want to just get through it strong and with God, which is what I wanted the first time. But I was 18 and nowhere near prepared to what I was about to experience. I hope I can do better this time but imma be honest I doubt it because I am still scared to go through it again.
You were made for this . :) and it is intense, but momentary . Go through natural delivery videos, watch Built to Births channel, the naked doula… all great resources
