    After watching your video I bought all 4 Reference speakers for my Taco, and the sound is definitely more balanced. Some people have commented that the Refs have "less bass" but I think the stockers just resonate like crazy around 60-70Hz giving people the perception of more bass when really the sound is boomy and muddy sounding. Neo magnet aside, the stock speaker basket is the crappiest lightest I've ever seen and they have no excursion whatsoever. I also got the baffles which I should of tried with and without, I think they might affect bass response in the doors as the speaker can no longer use the entire door air volume.

    For the life of me I don't know why people choose the worst music for sound testing when there are thousands of songs with bass

      Because when it comes to clarity bass has nothing to do with it, a quality system uses speakers for highs and mids. If you want bass that’s what subs are For.

      @m3n4cE6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      because their video is monetized, meaning they are making a little bit of money off of it. If they use copyright protected material they'd have to demonetize it and they won't make anything off of it.

    The 3 way has a much higher frequency response than the 2 way in the Infinity Reference, which is probably why you find it at a higher pitch. The 2 way would have been a better match for your listening style by the sound of it.

    I put the Infinity Prima speakers I the front and rear doors of my Jeep. They put out so much more bass than the stock. The front 9x6 move air like a small subwoofer. I love my speakers.

    there is an attenuation button on the tweeter, I can see from your video the button it out/up. Push that button down and it will solve the complaint you have about the tweeter brightness.

    I like your video man. Just FYI the magnet comparison isn't apples-to-apples. the stock speaker uses a Neodymium magnet with has a much higher magnetic flux output per volume compared to a conventional speaker magnet. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neodymium_magnet Some of the most expensive 6x9s out there use tiny Neo magnets.

    I have the Kicker KS series in my Silverado and Infinity REF in my Mustang (all 9 locations), both amplified and the Infinity sounds 10x better than the kickers that cost more. The Tweeter on the Kickers suck imo. Replacing the Kickers with Infinity now.

  • @Frindleeguy
    @Frindleeguy 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    If you didn't return them, just add an Audio Control D.4 800. That will change everything you want, and the reference speakers basically don't work from your factory head. They need more than the 12 watts your head is pushing. You have no idea what they sound like- you're literally not activating them.

    • @zonabros677
      @zonabros677  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's a little out of my price range for right now, but I would like to get an amp in the future. It's nice to know the speakers will sound much better once they get the right amount of power.

  • @No_Transitory
    @No_Transitory 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Did you use the stock head unit for power? I have 2 infinity red tweeters, 2x infinity reference 6x9’s and 2x infinity kappa 6.5’s, but I’m not using an aftermarket amp. If they were given an actual amp to power them properly and tune them you’d enjoy the infinity speakers a lot more.

    What amp would you recommend for these infinity speakers?

    • @zonabros677
      @zonabros677  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I haven't done too much research but you should look for 4 channel amplifiers that support close to 100 watt RMS at 4 ohms. You'll be able to get full power out of the speakers with something like this
