I think the biggest thing they could do to make the spider drone more fair would have it be the ultra. The disruption of the hud doesn’t seem like it matters much. If they time it right then yeah it is a big pain, but I’ve noticed it usually goes off when I’m still recharging my abilities.
I hate when im trying to build my gun and "Creating Match" pops up and locks you out then backs you out of creating your class or sometimes mine bugs and get locked into a screen that i cant change and just have to wait for the matchbto start
I think they should limit the amount of same faction is on one team. Like if 2 cleaners are already chosen. gg chose a dif faction, it would cause players to choose other factions and create a gameplay that feels a bit more balanced. maybe? im tired of getting on full teams of echelon or cleaners. while the other team has a variety of factions which in my experience is seems to be better as a team overall.
2:40 i 100% agree, dedsec is my fav faction to play and the fact that i can easily cycle between a stun spider and my grenade is a bit op, if the spider was a 40 second cooldown or even 45 i think it will be less spammed and annoying and instead be something which has to be more delebirate in use

I've been loving this game, but I can see some glaring balance issues. My personal suggestions would be... General changes - Limit of 2 players / faction / team. It's a 6v6 game with 4 factions (3 at base + 1 unlockable), so having a limit of 2 players per faction per team would make things more fair and arguably more fun. Just add a "Preferred Factions" tab to the menu where you can set up your 1st, 2nd, and 3rd preferred factions before queueing. - Harsher penalties for movement spamming. The devs have confirmed that, as of right now, the movement was not supposed to be this egregious and the intended change of increasing aim sway did not make it to launch. I honestly think there needs to be MORE than just an aim sway increase, but I think that's a fair change to start. - As you mentioned, fix the desync, but that goes without saying. Faction Specific - Echelon - Digital Ghillie Suit: Make it like Cav's tactical from Siege where you are limited to only using your secondary while the ability is active. Also, make the audio cue that it emits when in range slightly louder. That last part could just be a me problem, but I can barely hear it 90% of the time with everything else going on in game. - Phantoms - Mag Barrier: Switch it from a launched projectile to a manually planted object that'll deploy at a fixed distance from the user. This is mostly a personal thing, I just don't like having to aim at the ground for a split second just to deploy the barrier and then readjust, by which point it's probably taken like 25-50% damage. - DedSec: Switch Lockout and Spider Bot, making the bot the Ultra and vice versa, add Hijack as a component to Lockout, and replace Hijack with a new ability. At the current moment, Lockout feels more like a base ability, because it's kinda just a radial EMP grenade that's inconsistent at best. I think reducing the radius a bit and adding Hijack as a default function of Lockout would actually make it worth using. As for the new ability, they could do something like a Map Hack where you could do a brief channel (like 5-7s) and reveal every enemy on the mini map for like 10s. - Cleaners - Incendiary Rounds: Slightly reduce burn damage and remove the range penalty, but have the burn damage ramp up with consecutive hits up to a cap. - Cleaners - Firebomb: Instead of having it be a dropped ability, allow it to be thrown. - Cleaners - Incinerator Drone: Increase speed, explosion radius, and field linger duration. - Libertad - El Remedio: Slightly reduce healing / second.
All of these are really good suggestions, but I would like to point out that there is actually an audio cue for the ghillie suit. It's subtle but it has saved me a few times from getting flanked

Need flinch when shot, sway when jumping, quicker ability to leave a match when a match ends, ability to sprint out of a slide without jumping , hip fire more accurate when in short range on all guns, don’t interrupt me when I’m changing a load out, some static ui elements to track challenges. The spider actually doesn’t bother me that much as I can shoot it while it’s on my face or when it jumps and I can kill it on my teammates.
I'd just like for them to add a cap on the amount of classes one team can pick. A full team of Echelon is no fun to fight against and being on a full team of Echelon when you're the only shadow trying to escort is also not fun.
Agree with everything here! They need a way bigger cool down for abilities, whole team seeing you through walls the whole game kills it, or just do one ping...
Even 4 spider bots are not as serious as 2 snipers spawn camping. How about a longer cool down for snipers? Totally agree about the already running matches, that could be fixed by a quitter penalty of more minutes lockout from signing up for a new match than an average match takes to finish.

The clip at 1:02 is the literal reason i dont play this game anymore. The Tac-50 with the B23 pistol and using either emps or flashes, plus using the tank class to shoot through shields while also getting 20 more hp than everyone else in the game. I really wanna like this game but when the entire lobby is using this exact set up,,, its just not fun.
I love this game a lot. It’s just I know there’s no sbmm but jeez does it feel bad and boring. When I’m dropping 70+ kills every single game I play and the players feel like bots and don’t get scaled up to where I’m at. It loses its touch yk. On the health regen point: You do realise health currently regens agter 4 seconds, if we reduce this noticeably to say 2 seconds what does that mean for libertad? They regen instantly? You took damage in a gun fight so why shouldn't you have to play conservatively to regen?

It's a call of duty clone not arma, youre supposed to be able to run around non stop getting into constant engagements, if I have to pause my sprint after every fight to crouch behind a low wall and wait for my character to heal it absolutely destroys the pace of my game, honestly the healing and the operator abilities are the only reasons I dropped this game after playing for about 5 hours, I hope they increase the pace of the overall match flow and make the operator abilities more of a side thing then constantly being highlighted through walls, i think black ops 3 did a good job where it still felt like a classic arcade shooter where you'd occasionally encounter a specialist ability but it for the most part felt fair and wasn't so much of a constant issue that it would turn you off of the game, they also felt good to use, I find all the specialist abilities in this game to just feel completely underwhelming to use but horrible to go up against
Hit registration issues Class ability balancing (I.E running into a libertad with 200-240 hp, but if I use the same ability I get the buff for 1.5 seconds before expiry when they seemingly have it for multiple fights despite moving map areas and fighting other players) Like you mentioned; no line of site yet they still tag you behind walls Abhorrent slow weapon progression; this last double XP weekend seemed slower than even COD progression Every lobby is so sweaty… even in COD MW series I maintained a 1.3-1.5 KD despite SBMM. In XDefiant I feel like every lobby is so sweaty that it’s hardly enjoyable. Every game is .8-1.0 KD for me despite knowing that I’m not a bad PC player AND playing unranked. This game was supposed to be a F2P COD killer, but it feels like it’s slowly killing itself losing most casual players since it’s not fun for them nor pubstompers atm. Going 4 and 15 isn’t fun for the average casual player; going 63 and 8 isn’t fun for sweats since there’s no challenge. I’m between the two and I’m sure all 3 groups (casual, competitive and middle of the road players) feel disenfranchised. The beta played much better than the release imo.
I think spider drone could be easily balanced from 2 core changes. As of now the stunning time goes on close to a full 5 seconds. Way too long for a fast paced game like Xdefiant. Lowering this to about 3 seconds would make all the difference and encourage smarter play. Secondly I think giving some agency back to the player affected by it could be useful as well. Allowing you to hipfire your weapon without allowing any reloads or the charging of anymore rounds(this would apply to pump shotguns and snipers) similar to how tazers work in payday 2 would give you a very small but still fighting chance instead of being mostly a free kill
I think that after you get a kill u should get a little bit of armor instead of health regen so that you can actually win 2 v 1s. Team shooting is crazy op

The gunplay in this feels absolutely horrible to me. I don't like the healing, Im not a fan of most maps, the sniping feels bad, Im not a fan of the operator skills, the weapon leveling feels slow (went from level 1-2 using the m4 with a 45 kill game) no earned camos for some reason? Every lobby has 2 people on the top of the scoreboard with everyone else being bots leaving my lobbies to feel stale even though I'm top fragging, some of the favorite guns from other games just feel absolutely horrible to use and do no damage (mainly the MP5, like seriously why would you ever use it) smgs just feel like low range high recoil assault rifles but do less damage? Shoutout the pistols tho they actually feel strong and satisfying for the most part

I don’t find the Phantom’s extra 20% of health to be a problem at all. I can still 2 tap them with 2 headshots or a headshot & body shot with the SSR. The most annoying for me are the Echelons. - No minimap indicator - Near invisible or Intel through walls (Player Preference) - X-ray Sonar Goggles Ult They’re the faction I pay THE closest attention too and are by far the easiest to do well with if you’re decent enough.

I wish the weapons leveled up faster. I hate getting 25-30 kills for the gun not to level up. Double weapon XP makes it feel how it should be imo.

Yeah the Phantom's passive is so annoying mainly cuz it so overpowered. I feel like they should have less movement speed but they have an extra bar of health

@@felipezamora9711 I hate to be that guy but hit ur shots or use the healer class … instead of getting better ur complaining about a tank class being able to take 2 more bullets and in most ar’s one extra bullet
I don’t find the Phantom’s extra 20% of health to be a problem at all. I can still 2 tap them with 2 headshots or a headshot & body shot with the SSR.
The most annoying for me are the Echelons.
- No minimap indicator
- Near invisible or Intel through walls (Player Preference)
- X-ray Sonar Goggles Ult
They’re the faction I pay THE closest attention too and are by far the easiest to do well with if you’re decent enough.
