He's really extraordinary, as are you. I was happy to make the introduction and hope to see the two of you talk more going forward. I also believe he could have a very productive conversation with Jonathan Pageau..
If you are tempted to pick a side... you are not seeing the whole. Love it! Reject dualism predicated on human knowledge at every turn. Only this does the peak of the mountain reveal itself
I LOVE the way this was closed out. God will indeed bend (or break) space and time to redeem his sons and daughters. I wanna be involved in part 2 😰🤤🤠😭. I’m not gonna be able to roll with all the academic stuff, but I can still play with my own words. Muddy the water.
These conversations make me want to stay a Christian. I tend to limit incarnation to my narrow minded perspective. This convo makes me want to expand and grow. Thank you both gentlemen.
Man this is one of the best conversations I've heard in awhile. One of the clearest articulations of Christianity I've seen. Would love to see a conversation with Vervaeke and Jordan!
Hello, I am listening to the first episode of Graill country about meditations on the tarot and you mention McDonald's and mention fantastics, and I was just writing to ask if this is the book you were referencing or is it another? Thanks! Good stuff. I appreciate it.
Ok, I'm late hearing this really helpful conversation - your giving me words for my intuitions and inspiring new ones. @ 1:04:00 - 1:05:00 on Christs Passion and descent into all possible individual sin had me think of Him laying that path (mention for our return. He is there at every step as a guide.... something like that
5:35 on Maximus’s Ambiguum 7:22 as the focus & summary of your book “that the Word of God, very God, wills always and in all things to actualize the mystery of his Incarnation.”
18:40 "You can't have one without the other." Agreed. Except as a thought experiment...and even then, you're using consciousness to do the though experiment. Which is a coincidence of opposites and a unity of multiplicity and the infinite-finite. The hard-problem of objectivist abstraction.
In the question about pantheism why we worship Jesus without being idolatry. Is Jesus another person than the Second Person of the Trinity? I do think so. Thus, since he is God and the cosmos is not, we worship Him and not creation. God is not pantheistic.
26:39 "Sometimes David (DH) seems to be afraid that foregrounding the person, just foregrounds the will" Doesn't gnomic vs. natural will eliminate this concern? Being a true person doesn't mean having a deliberative will.
Be careful with Christianity, it really is mostly Marcion/ Simon Magus/Paul the False apostle and Nicolatian Theology, Which the Saviour hated! You only have one teacher , Our Lord Our Saviour, The True Word Of The Father, we are all brethren no one is least no one great in His Kingdom, we are all Children of The Most High just with different roles to pla. Only keeping His Holy Laws, The ten commandments and righteousness will get you there! Wisdom is the most basic thing in life to aquire, so what is wisdom, Wisdom is The Fear of The Most High, that is it ,no more no less!! The Saviour is really much simpler and more straight forward than you think, No Theology degree will give you that, however, a good Theology degree can give you a good back background in History and knowledge! There are no mysteries to it! It is all in plain sight, but first you will need an eye that can see and an ear that can hear, and all of this is down to The Holy Spirit, The great Comforter. ASk, The Holy Spirit , you will know everything, The Most High is more than generous, with knowledge, yes there are still mysteries but the Truth is all in plain sight!
I am very impressed by Jordan Wood’s work.

@@grailcountry Thanks. I agree.

Christianity is fundamentally nondual.

@Oskar I have lots of thoughts on this. I’ll try to either respond more at length later or we should try and talk about it live sometime.
@Oskar ok, now I’m not so sure that I’m tracking what you’re saying.
@truly blessed maybe. But I’ve forgotten what we were even talking about now…🤪🤷🏼♂️

Good to see you around Bill.

Working on it. Wanted to give John time to read Jordan's book.
It's just keeps getting better and better 🤗
Awesome interview, Nate!
This is amazing stuff
He learned something from George MacDonald and quoted the Fantastic Imagination! 🤩😎
The end was maybe my fav part.

McDonald's and mention fantastics, and I was just writing to ask if this is the book you were referencing or is it another? Thanks! Good stuff. I appreciate it.
The distinction around abstracting the possibilities of Freedom is deeply helpful. Wonderful conversation!!
17:00 "the incarnation is that for which there is nothing greater."
Amen. That's it.
Lovely discussion guys, thank you. I do feel that something in our Humanity -in-theosis requires recreation.
Present and excited.
Very excited for this one.

44:40 - 47:17 was the highlight for me. Awesome video! I can't wait to get the book.
Loving this video
1:03:59 "were born in a state of immaturity, and have to grow into a state of freedom." there it is.
Wood at his best.
@NathanielJ.Franco Real recognize real
Christ suffers in order to mediate. He literally “drags” us into communion with the Father. This is the same story as the end of Job.
25:30 the "could have done otherwise" freedom drives me nuts.
5:35 on Maximus’s Ambiguum 7:22 as the focus & summary of your book “that the Word of God, very God, wills always and in all things to actualize the mystery of his Incarnation.”

The hard-problem of objectivist abstraction.
51:45 “...the only existent one.”
1:06:39 “Jensen has that line that ‘Time is a double helix with Christ at its center.’”
A infinite torus? Difficult to describe.
32:15 - 32:30 "There is an anchorage in the person."
Calvinists, pay attention.
2:46 Origen was presented in a negative light?! NO WAY!
1:06:00 YES! Melchizedek (and Enoch). They were glorified/deified in Christ.
1:07:53 “the perfection of creation is in faces”
Like everything is personal?! 😏
It’s persons and relationships all the way down?!😁
17:53 isn't this the chalcedonian debate?
In the question about pantheism why we worship Jesus without being idolatry. Is Jesus another person than the Second Person of the Trinity? I do think so. Thus, since he is God and the cosmos is not, we worship Him and not creation. God is not pantheistic.
You do think so?
