Really? Bummer. I hope you find him. For me it's Ice Man, Drill Man and Bright Man that's hardest to find. I've noticed Mega Man, Proto Man, Guts Man and incomplete Cut Man are the easiest and cheapest. I've got Guts, Proto and Snake Man.
Great video! I've probably said it before but man...did I love these figs and had half a dozen including Mega Man, Rush, Snake Man, Proto Man, Guts Man, Cut Man, Bright Man and a flying vehicle. I still think the interchangeable projectile play feature has never been topped. So perfect for the series and the bots have so much personality.
All the missiles being compatible was very smart. I made use of it a lot even though I didn't have the other four figures: th-cam.com/video/XoIiByIH7FA/w-d-xo.html
@MBXfilms Absolutely!! I kinda wish they were able to come out with the big bad himself, Dr. Wiley, with some sort of mech vehicle that Mega Man can fight against. (Comes with Atomic Fire projectile blast, haha) Wiley is a crucial villain. Like having a Castlevania figure Collection with No Dracula. 🤣
@@puffinman1138 They used his voice for the toy commercial and the vehicle that did come out in this set always looked like a Wily machine to me. I did always lack leadership when playing with these.
A tradition that lives on to this day, the huge markup gashapon. That sucks UK did not get these, but it was pretty short lived, I only ever saw them once and never saw the other set of 4. I may just hunt them down.
@@MBXfilms i just received eleckman but the seller didnt package it correctly and the bubble is coming off of the card LOL LOL if you know a guy that can fix it let me know
I wanted to collect them all! Around about the time that Mega Man 3 came out, the only "figures" that I had of Mega Man or other games were ones that I shaped out of clay and colored with markers when I was a kid. By 1995, I was in the middle of high school! I was not able to collect Cut Man or Bomb Man from the Ruby Spears line... and I never did see ANY of the Wave 2 toys in any of the local toy stores. I really wanted Bright Man and Snake Man... though Drill Man would have been fun too. I had no idea that an Elec Man toy had been made.
I liked plenty of reruns of the past as well. I had the toys but the show was too new and we didn't get the channel it was on! I just knew them from the NES games. I've been finding a lot of toys of cartoons I used to watch, the toys were long gone from the stores by the time you would see the show.
Great video! I love these toys. I had Mega Man, Gutsman, Elec Man, Drill Man, and the green sky car thing. I had the smaller figures of Mega Man, Cutman, Roll, Rush, Light, Wily, and Ice Man. This cartoon is what turned me into a Mega Man fanatic. I wish the show had lasted longer. I would really like to collect these again, and I actually kinda' feel like playing with them like I did when I was a kid :p I still watch the show and play the NES games a lot. I just beat 4 twice in two weeks and went through 6 again recently, which is partially what led me to this video.
What a great collection and a great review. One of my favorite vg toons and a great toyline overall. Very sturdy and chunky. They pair nicely with the Jazwares Retro Roto and Fully Charged Mega Man toys.
12:15 - Wow! I had no idea that other "forms" of Mega Man were planned like this. I don't remember seeing the Stealth or Dive forms in either cartoon nor game... but the "Sky Mega Man" could at least be viewed as the cartoon adaptation of the "Jet Mega Man" form when Rush turns into a flying suit in Mega Man 6.
That was an interesting discovery. The Rush Jet Adaptor is what I though of also. I think that was just a way to resuse what they had already with the molds. Just recolor Mega Man. That playset was massive also.
@@MBXfilms Although with the "Dive Mega Man", that looked an awful lot like the body of Bubble Man from Mega Man 2! How much more trouble would it have been to make Bubble Man's head, and have another proper Robot Master?
They were a treat back then with no video game toys being made, and I loved all the NES Mega Man games, don't miss the other figures here: th-cam.com/video/XoIiByIH7FA/w-d-xo.html
A Japan animation studio Ashi Productions made the demo intro but had the characters look more like chibi / smaller versions you'd see in the games, and of course more violent which was how they did it in Japan. The USA company said make them older/bigger looking and tone down the violence, but kept some of the clips in the intro.
We never had the channel the cartoon was on, but I managed to find the toys that I just played with knowing the NES games. I made my own cartoon way back then for myself since I couldn't watch the cartoon: th-cam.com/video/yaA3h4E9qH4/w-d-xo.html
5:57 - I remember finding it pretty odd that neither the cartoon nor the action figure of Proto Man included his signature ProtoShield, which he ALWAYS appeared with in the games. Thankfully, the Jazzwares toy line did include the shield, and made a Rush with pieces that would resemble Rush's jet form from the games.
2:24 - Actually, at least a few action figure toys in the 1980's and 1990's had forearms that could be replaced with various attachments. From the Masters of the Universe collection, there was Trap Jaw and Roboto. In the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles collection, there was Metalhead.
I try to keep things "original" but the scarf is very lame. Sometimes you have to take things into your own hands to improve they way they should have been.
@@MBXfilms That's great dude, nothing like having your first videogame toys, specially at a time when it was difficult to find them or weren't common yet!
Yes I thought the missiles were just too big but really the mechanisms and springs are just kinda weak. Maybe because of the size they had to make them weak for "safety?" Cut Man's head is stronger than Mega Man and Proto Man's cannons.
The other rare 4 figures of this set: th-cam.com/video/XoIiByIH7FA/w-d-xo.html

Awwww. That Mega Man toy was well loved.
Possibly my favorite. Loved playing my NES carts back then so it was great having the figure also!
'ELECKMAN' as his toy is labeled has surprisingly been the hardest for me to find a decent price on.

Can we also talk about how misleading the intro is due to it being violent and action packed, because none of that stuff happened in the actual series
