Used to work in San Bernardino before I moved to Oregon. The view from that junction bridge is my favorite.
I think the Crown buses deserve a successor, they were awesome.

Beautiful, I hope one day you could record back in the bus you could hear the motor back in 2002 I use to sit in the back because I like to hear the motor

The Shield Classic Crown buses mostly had the engine under the floor in the middle of the bus. Tilted on its left side , it kept the center of gravity down low and centered. Crowns don’t lean in fast corners and are neither nose heavy nor tail heavy. The Crown was the sports car of buses. Corners like crazy and wailing screaming engine. Nothing like modern buses.

I wish you could drive these in Cali without those dumb exhaust filters or whatever they are

You can drive them 1,000 miles per year on a special exemption.

Are you referring to the Aftertreatment Systems on buses??

I drive thru that interchange twice a year on my trips from LA to Houston (it is all on Interstate 10!)

Does this bus have an unsynchronized transmission?

I have to show you my crown one of these days. The air suspension takes some getting used to but it runs pretty good overall. I’m close to the 60 freeway at grove

Is this tranny a synchromesh? Looks like you are only single-clutching. Great video, love the sound of the engine on Crowns

Great addition to your bus family, Al, but perhaps choose a camera person who can "hold 'er steady." Wow... hard to watch.

That “flyover” bridge is a wild ride!! Wife is a great photographer but that section of road is a 6 Flags ride!! We had to cut the part where she lost her footing and fell! Thanks for the note!!

The bus was hard to shoot because its jumpy.. theres no way you can keep your hand steady. Thanks for your positive comment - it happens that I am videoing AL , you are welcome to do the filming next time .

Really???? you have no idea what you're talking about .. for sure you can't even come closer to me shooting the bus - it was jumpy . So please keep your mouth shut if you don't know what's going on while Al was driving the bus. I wanna see how you handle it if you're the camera person - do the filming next time and I want to see you falling apart. You are Rude??
