Hey man hope you're doing well, finally got my machine all set up with the new CPU and everything, and as always, I come to your channel to find out what games I want to install 😂 I can now run everything in 4K 3D at about 200 FPS, and this table is unbelievably amazing looking in 3D. Not to mention I beefed up to haptics in my table too, so with VPX you can really feel where the balls at, and every time a bumper knocks you can hear it inside the table and feel it in your hands. I'm going to buy some VPW dear just to support them. I think I've got a new rule and then if I play a table for more than 45 minutes Iowa five-dollar donation whoever worked on that table. Anyways I figured I would drop by and say hello man come on hope your holiday season is off to a good start!
Loren! Seasons Greetings to you my friend :) Sounds like you have everything just the way you like it. Did you end up buying new parts or finding any deals on Cyber Monday or Black Friday? Also, I forgot if you told me, but were you able to sell that older cabinet you had? VPW is such a legit squad. They really pour their heart and soul into all their tables. Very nice of you to consider donating to them Loren :) They deserve it! On December 12th, 3 new Williams tables are coming to Pinball FX (Black Knight 2000, Earthshaker!, and Banzai Run). I tried them out earlier and so far I like them, but Banzai Run seems to be very, very difficult and quite the challenge. Hope your holidays are going well for you :) Thanks for dropping a comment Loren, always enjoy a chat with you.
@NewLeaf88 still have the old HD unit. It was having a problem I did not feel comfortable selling it with grandma and come to find out it was a problem with my account. They had to fix it to restore some functionality to the machine which is a little irritating. My issue is still not fully resolved, but they have my account set up on a new one month trial, which who knows might cause issues with my 4K machine as well. As for a CPU and motherboard, I found some really killer Black Friday deals, and ended up getting the 5700x3D and mobo for,$268. And then another $50 for the ram. Ended up deciding to use my old machine for the pinball system, because it runs everything perfectly. I can run vpw at 180fps or better in 3d. The new machine will replace my studio system, has a lot of the plugins now require heavy duty amounts of power, and I'm starting to have audio stuttering issues when trying to run virtual guitar amps and some of these Cherry audio virtual analog synthesizers. Honestly I would be very excited for the Pinball FX games, but I am extremely annoyed at the fact that every time I try to switch games, or switch from a game back to the main menu, it causes my screens to all reset, and you'll see all the screens flip around, and it's just really bad experience on a cabinet right now. Admit it, but they know it because I have heard it from one of their employees who will be unnamed, is a major issue that are aware of. Honestly the best way for me to run it is from pin-up popper or another front end to launch the games directly and completely bypassed their stupid menus. Also not sure if you have DOFLinx installed, but you can run their games with pup packs, and b2s backgrounds, which is a much better experience, although I don't know what kind of experience that would provide on a desktop
Oh man, hearing about the issues you're having with the old HD unit makes me not want to buy one. I was thinking of getting an AtLegends machine but wasn't sure if it was worth it. Maybe in the future, but for now I'm just content playing on my desktop. Though I've been noticing my game stutters even on lowered graphic settings for Pinball FX and I just recently added new RAM, so I'm not sure what that's all about. The screens resetting sound like a very annoying issue to deal with. I am lucky in that sense because I only use one screen. So is there cabinet support/mode just not there yet or does it have something to do with a compatibility issue with your machine? I don't run into these errors just because I'm a Desktop user so I never really thought much about it. I don't have DOFLinx installed but I have seen people use it for Pinball FX and FX3 and makes the tables look really nice. But yeah I just never messed with it. But it seems like you saved a lot of money on those components buying them on Black Friday, so at least there's some good news out of all this!
I can definitely see where you hear the atari sounds, Dom! I've always thought the Warlok looked like some evil demon or something...those red eyes are scary to me honestly! And what makes it more eerie, he doesn't seem to have any expression in his face lol.
You can turn the background sound off. I only found out recently you can on most SS with a background noise. See the manuals available on the Pinball database, instructions in them. Sorcerer was one that i hated, far better with background sound turned off imo.
"ROM Instructions and example to turn off background sound Start table as usual Press (8) to get into ROM menu Press (7) to start correct advancement Press (8) several times until 04 is shown in the Credit Display. 'Auto-Up / Manual-Down switch is controlled by (7) Press (8) repeatedly until you get to the adjustment number desired. For example, background sound is defaulted to on. It is adjustment number 35. You'll see a 1 in the upper left display. Press (1) to change that value. To turn off sound, set the value to 0. Note: Press (7) to reverse the advancement up or down. (9) will exit/reset Note: Auto-Up / Manual-Down (7) also controls the direction the menus will advance" Dont press 9 when you have set sound to zero, it will save when you just exit table.
Nice , They must have released early our time here, ill download that in a few minutes, looks ace.
Yes, I was just about to tell you but I ain't been on Steam yet. It's super Ace, Urko! VPW out did themselves again, haha. Love it.

Sounds effects sound like an atari table. The "Warlok" himself looks like some rad skateboarder from the 80s, haha.
I can definitely see where you hear the atari sounds, Dom! I've always thought the Warlok looked like some evil demon or something...those red eyes are scary to me honestly! And what makes it more eerie, he doesn't seem to have any expression in his face lol.
Look ma, my pinball can play all notes. Kid, turn that annoying sound off! 🙉
Haha Soma! I thought about the altsound alternative but the annoying sounds are what make Warlok...so unique!
@@NewLeaf88 it's not that unique, there's more droning tables
True, Soma! Maybe the most well known droning table is Gorgar or Fire Power? There's so many you're right.
