I’m a Texas teacher. We have both the Texas and US flags in every classroom. Every morning we recite the Texas and US pledge. We also have a moment of silence and reflection. 👍❤️💙🇺🇸🇺🇸
Absolutely, schools in a country should all have the national flag and be proud of that. In israel every single classroom under the ministry of education has both the Israeli flag, the map of Israel and the declaration of independence, as it should !!!! Patriotism is not a bad word

The constitution and the bill of rights should be in school.
It use to be and was slowly removed starting around 1988. I had a whole year of constitution, bill of rights, government history, and how our government works.

I just thought to myself the same thing. Jesus followed the Torah and Mohammed also believed in sharia but that brings a scare tactic that is unnecessary. Why? I became an Athiest when I was 17 years old, I am currently 46 and I will defend the 10 commandments being in public school classrooms until I'm gone. Our country was founded on a set of principles which included those 10 commandments. Anyone who has an issue with the principles that built this country, should get the hell out of this country!

I grew up in christian/catholic after school programs and turned my back on god when I became a teenager and continued into a young adult, nowadays I'm reading the bible and praying we get through these evil times, I have followed my intuition all my life and avoided very bad situations because of it, this is what brought me back to god, we are rotting as a country right now because we have no moral guidelines anymore.
I'm an old Norse pagen and I fully support the big ten in schools we need some fucking morals in this country

Much smaller in reality. LGBTQ is catching fire only because it's pushed in schools and by celebrities, but most kids are shown to "grow out" of it. And it has nothing to do with our history. Our country and legal system is not built on that flag. This host, as always, is missing the context and logic.
The Ten Commandments are displayed in the Supreme Court. So why shouldn't it be displayed in our schools? It's part of the history of our country.

I grew up in the 60's. Every morning we said the Pledge of Allegiance and a rotation of local ministers came over the loudspeaker and offered a prayer for the day. No one was forced to participate if they did not want to. THEN an atheist with Communist ties named Madeline Murray O'Hare was successful with a 'liberal' SCOTUS and got prayer taken out of schools. Socialists cannot have the public beholding to any power higher than the State. And undermining any religion is their purpose and goal.
John Adams said our Constitution is insufficient for any other than a moral and religious people. It's essential to the fabric of the country.
All the states need to follow Louisiana's leadership and PUT THE TEN LAWS OF LOVE BACK IN OUR SCHOOLS!!!

I remember it being in the classroom when I was in school along with the American Flag and a picture of the President. We said the Pledge of Allegiance every day and the teachers taught us reading, writing, arithmetic, civics, social studies and geography.
The CNN Anchor has a problem with the Ten Commandments but has had no problem getting every Christmas off while in school and when she started working taking Christmas off with pay.

Christianity didn't even become a religion until after Jesus was born. The ten commandments are of the old testament. So honestly they can't say it's strictly a Christian thing.
Yes God of Isreal had written the 10 commandments for his chosen people (Jewish people) to follow. When the word of God became flesh in Jesus, a new covenant was created that emphasized the Mosiac law for the rest of the world (both Jews and Gentiles) to follow.

Im a Gen X. We had friends of every color. We were some of the first kids of integration. We picked our friends based on character not race. And we had the 10 commandments in school. We had Christian teachers who also attended the same churches as our parents. Every morning we would say the Pledge of Allegiance and The Principle would say a quick prayer. This is Wild! At my age the following was standard practice in school!
1. Pledge of Allegiance! We live in the U.S!
2. Prayer was a given, either in class or on the field!
3. Corporal Punishment! When needed not when approved! Bullying was not a major issue!
Compare to 2024 School standards! What a shame and failure as a society! Parents, real parents need to take their school back! don't fear the bum, raggedy, excuse making parents pushing agendas! Litter boxes in bathrooms, women's restrooms no longer safe, furries, thc vape pens, school assaults, boys in girls' sports ect.... Take a long look at other countries, let's stop leading the world in ignorance!

I said the pledge of allegiances every morning and prayed. In my 10th grade year, we did have to start meeting at the flagpole to pray are in a certain classroom to have a Bible study and pray.
Public schools should not be sponsored by any religious stuff period. I got nothing against religion but giving privilege to any of them sets a double standard.

No religious symbology of any kind should be in public (state) school. That’s what parents & religious schools are for.
With all the problems in our schools and society now it shows exactly what kind of person someone is when they they can sincerely try to make an argument that it's a bad thing to tell children that they should not steal,lie , kill they should honor their parents things like this are hated by evil people

The issue is that these schools are owned by the parents historically. Not even the states should govern over the schools.

What is the history of the US? Judeo Christian founded this nation. Everyone came to the new world to worship God how they saw fit. The other religions came much later.

Nationalism is the incorrect term. It's a leftist term meaning "national government" used by the likes of FDR and LBJ. Nationalism is not supported by the Constitution or its framers (our Founding Fathers.) The real term common sense Americans want to use is Americanism. Mark Levin wrote a book on it called "Discovering Americanism."

Here's the thing, nobody is trying to keep the Koran, or any other religious document out of our schools, EXCEPT the ten commandments. We just want the right to have the ten commandments as we always have in the past.
In the South we still had a silent 60 second prayer in the mornings ( late 80's to early 90's ) after our pledge of allegiance. No teacher said your prayer had to be of any specific religion, it was just a connection to your source of spirituality to start our school day. We had children from ALL over the planet in our public education system.
Why not answer that you can look at it as not a church thing but as a guide line to being a good person.
Totally agree... with the exception of the ones mentioning God. Not everyone believes in the god of the bible.
The Ten Commandments are also in the Torah. They aren't specifically Christian.
I mean Christianity is traditional to America. It's part of our culture and for 220 years it was taught in schools.
@@modernjosephus356 The founding fathers (for the most part) practiced christianity, but the MAIN REASON they revolted was because of state run and sponsored religion. You couldn't tell where england ended and the roman catholic church began. They both were dictatorial. The purpose was to ensure that religion (ANY) would not become the one and only way to govern. I have no problem with the 5th through 10th commandment... and I don't have a problem with the 1st through 4th, but there are some who do. If you can't live by the 1st through 4th, that is for you... if you can't live by the 5th through 10th, that affects everyone.
