Working at our fully equipped workshop in Kent we carry out tasks including Panel beating, Body work, Mig Welding, Sheet metal Spot Welding, Fabrication, Chassis Repairs, Sand Blasting, Engine and Mechanical repairs, Reconditioning, Restoration and Structural repairs on the Celette Jig Dozer frame machine.

We do receive quite a few questions regarding tools and equipment that we use for various jobs. Unfortunately there is too many to list but some of the brands we use include Snap-on, Blue-point, Makita, Sealey, Clark, Esab and Sykes-Pickavant.

I've owned 'proper' Land Rovers for 25 years now - so I'll be following this with interest. I wish I still had my '72 soft top 88. I had it 17 years and did lots to it (including a passable hand paint restoration in (of course) Bronze Green enamel. New khaki tilt - dog used to love sticking his nose out of the sides when rolling along. They are lovely. These days have a 200Tdi hard top and a nice old Rice Beaufort horse trailer. Both get used in my landscaping business. Can't beat them...

Almost perfect just a few jobs to do on it. Massive wheels with some nice low profile tyres Spoilers tinted windows and Skirts with a nice paint job. Ready for the school run and parking on the zig zags.
Again a classic bit of British engineering. Should think you'll be able to get this bad boy up and running without too much trouble.

I hate to say this , but the Land-rover is designed from the Jeep. Ouch that hurts !!! The Wilks brothers ( Rover engineers) had a farm on Anglesey after the war. They took an ex forces Jeep down and drove it round for few days ending up in Red Wharf Bay parked on the sands. They then drew in the sand what they wanted to make for the Rover car company. Shortage of steel produced the alloy body. And the early prototype models included one with the steering in the middle. The famous Center Steer . For use as a sort of tractor by farmers .
I would not hesitate to buy a car from you, because I know it would be 100% straight, don’t worry about waffling, we all do it when talking about our passion, great content thank you

As a Landy Nut I really enjoyed this one Rob.
I bought a series 3 in a similar state and over the years got it tip top. Sorry I sold it now.
PS please fit seat belts. They're dirt cheap and a must.

Even though it looks very agro cultural they do ,and are great in the right hands In extremely adverse comditions.wonderful ,and will get you home .they have a large fan base.but it will sell I think.easily as a rolling restoration

Gorgeous Landy! Just wash it, buff it up & laquer it. That'll keep the original paint & the patina of the worn bits. It'd look lovely with that original paint plus a modern shine on it.
I've had a few experiences with vehicles starting like that. Mostly from vehicles getting nobbled at car auctions. Gear linkages adjusted so you couldn't select a gear, a hole drilled in the water pump housing etc. (And that was all on one Commer G.P.O. van in that Buzby bright yellow at Exeter car auctions!)

Excellent work Rob. My dad used to drive these LandRovers as British Telecom whom he worked for had a fleet of them to access BT sites in the hills in remote parts of southwest Scotland. I have loads of interesting pictures of these Landies in daily use as my dad was an avid photographer too. They did proper off roading in them too, in all weathers. Happy to share them with you guys if you want any. 👍
2.25 diesel's Landy's did smoke a bit from cold but soon clears when warms up.

Well Rob, you know what I'd say and keep it, you don't see many nice one's around, money isn't everything bud and I'm more than sure you and Chris will make plenty of profit on run of the mill cars in the year.
Land Rover series 3 is a lovely motor. And was so happy when it booted back into life. One of my all time favourite cars along with Range Rovers. All Good plans with the 3. Makes the most sense. Good luck with it Chris and Rob. I'll look forward to the next instalment of this and the LSE.

I understand your plan and agree totally as you have to concentrate on your income. The only thing I would say is that please make sure the car goes to someone who WILL restore it and not leave it to rot. It's too good a car and deserves a new lease of life. Thats a splash guard lying in the back.Goes in front of the footwell,inside the wing ,dunno which side though.I'm doing a full rebuild of a s3 and recognise the part.Keep up the good work

That was a nice easy fix hehe. I suppose a slightly newer fuel pump would have had a solenoid cut off. It was always the first thing I used to check on older diesel vans in the past. Really enjoying your videos atm. Especially the classic Range Rover that your doing at the moment. I worked on ones of those over 20 years ago and it was in much worse condition than that one, that one really is in good shape for the age.

I bought a barn find 2 years older than yours and completely rebuilt it 20 years ago. Mine was 2.25l petrol. An L reg 1973 series 3.
