i think the takeaway from this is to include hotsauce, salt and pepper in your survival kit
doesnt matter what survival food you get, most of them have a ton of salt and no other seasoning. definitely make sure you have seasoning to go with them. they dont spoil either!

@@kamiko70 seasonings absolutely go bad, they tend to lose potency and essentially just become colorful dust/leaves that dont actually augment the flavor/aroma of your food all that much.

When link said they still make the show in apocalypse all I could think of is tuning your radio in fallout and finding a station with them having morning radio show that's just like good mythical morning.
They should store those buckets away and in 20 years time do the exact same taste test to see if their ranking change once the food has aged

Yes, absolutely! GMO is not inherently bad. I'm sure most folks who are afraid of them eat tomatoes, corn, etc., and there's not really a difference.
Everything is already genetically modified to begin with, as soon as we started selectively breeding animals thousands of years ago
The advantage to heirloom seeds is that they come back the same every year! GMO seeds don't necessarily come back, a lot of commercially grown produce doesn't come back true to type. So heirlooms probably aren't as efficient but you can keep the seeds and replant every year.

years ago i worked at a hotel and for the breakfast they used those powdered eggs. they came in a bag and you mixed them with water. always laughed how we'd put them in this fancy looking serving tray yet they were the cheapest rehydrated eggs you could buy
why couldn't they use real eggs?!
