This post is extremely important on multiple levels: drugs, ethnic origin and identity, and the devastating effects of starting out life under totally wrong parents.
You’re soooooo strong for talking about this dude! I got addicted to oxy (and morphine) as well - at age 19 - first prescribed due to a surgery. Then from the street when the doctors stopped prescribing and by then I started buying and using other stuff as well like hashish and benzos. Never went to jail/prison but I did get a DUI and didn’t get clean even after that - until I got a very bad OD and woke up in hospital after several days of comq (that doctors put me into to stop me from cramping etc). I then also got into a long time rehab/clean living. Clean since 2,5 years since the last relapse and have started getting my life back! Stay in recovery everyone - you’re worth it! ❤
Happy you broke free from addiction dude and you're making effort to help others and share your voice to make things better that's what the communities need sharing voices and connecting people and supporting them when they talk about their harmless interests 😅 and on that note imma share my discord to chat with folks and getting to know eachothers ideas instead of baseless assumptions 😂
Good for him. He needs to go to Congress and tell his story. Like what he said which is obviously true places like CA not enforcing laws is NOT helping drug addicts/homeless people that let's them commit crime after crime w/o penalty, but YEARS of jail time is not good either. These people need mental help/counseling.
I've been sober 25 years. I finally broke down, went to residential for 103 days (it was a sixty day program). I then did outpatient for one year. Long term may be the answer to your sister. I would look for a long term program that she can attend.
@benrandolph8572 thank you. I'm so very proud of you for doing what so many can't. I admire all who make it out of addiction. I found a perfect place for her but she got out on time served so she's a free woman. I'm praying she finds the grit to want to go but I'm so scared these streets will take her before she does. I've lost everyone I've ever loved to addiction and if I lose her too idk if my heart will ever recover. Thank you for taking the time to gift me some of your hope🤍
What an amazing spiritual journey you’ve been on in very difficult circumstances 🙂It’s great to break down preconceived steriotypes. This is a valuable message🙏
@@TheViceAge hi. I really enjoyed seeing ur story. Is ur book on any audiobook platform? Can i ask if u ever found out what happened to ur jaw when u woke up in the tub? I apologize if I'm probing a little too much
@@Crystal-kr3tu hi Crystal, thanks for your interest. The book may be available in audiobook format at some point, but currently it’s just in print. But the more books I sell the more it’ll help get an audiobook deal pushed through. I did find out what happened to my face, it’s a long story lol but it’s in the book
So "god" made an innocent child have addict parents to then become and addict...end up homeless then in jail then loosing body parts huh wow sounds great lol
The critical need for good parenting skill cannot be overstated. I hope this man lives the rest of his life in peace and joy. ❤
Sure. Absolutley.
But not all us (ex) addicts come from broken familys
True. It also could be that this person chose to have these lessons to be an example for others (my spiritual take). ❤

My sisters about to get out for the 5th time. She's been going in for the last 12 years. We both just turned 30. Pray she gets it right this time.
