Club head speed alone does not always give your more distance.
Sometimes a shorter shaft may give you slightly less swing speed but your smash factor may go up due to better contact then you will actually gain distance.

Shaft/head combo is critical to optimize numbers, especially for people with higher swing speeds. My driver SS is ~108, but with a quick tempo that produces a lot of spin. The first time I got properly fit the results were amazing - reduced spin by 1,000 RPMs and carry went up by 15-20 yards (even more into the wind where the extra spin was killing my distance). I would go to your fitter and I am sure he will get you dialed in.

Perfect chip swing and impact at 10:59 Probably just had the muscle memorization of a 54 degree swing vs using the 50. Soooo much better than your past action.

Why do you always give yourself 3-4 foot gimmies instead of putting them out. 6" to a foot is okay but not 4 feet. Better to get in the practice

When you use the 50 think more of a putting style swing, don't need to take it up so high. Bennett working on that myself

Brendan, look up "rule of 12" if you want to play chip and runs with longer clubs.
I had a good idea of landing spot for that club I just took way to big of a swing and flew my spot by 5 yards. it happens. I know the rule though

here is 1 video about shaft flex. brandon the last few minutes of this video is important about the fitting of your driver. its around the 9 min mark.says be carefull on the info u get from your fitter. he makes lots of since here.he has lots of videos on shafts on his channel

Robbie White I'm pretty sure mark crossfield doesn't say shafts don't matter at all, that's a misquote. I think crossfield says if you're a high handicap the shaft isn't going to a big factor in lowering your scores as ppl think. He's more about focusing on strike.
