Hi doctor Danielle I went to Nursing school at University medical branch in Galveston Island unfortunately I got in a horrible accident Like you I changed my job I took up chicken farming I was raised on a ranch and raised our own food to eat. We had Chickens pigs , goats sheep, and cows. I felt I had so much knowledge on farm animals I am using this talent again I can also apply my nursing towards caring for animals. I am so happy and enjoy my work
Being brought up from a doctor family, my advice is "DO WHAT YOUR HEART TELLS YOU TO DO" My parents doctor, My sister doctor, My bro in law doctor. I am a proud chicken farmer.
@@FarmUp I know how to grow food. I had a yard where I was growing Zucchini, Cucumbers, Blueberries, Sage, Mint, Cilantro,Lemon Balm, Rosemary, Green Peppers and Sunflowers. I love farming and animals. I work hard and I'm a creative thinker and always use my critical thinking skills. I have been watching your vlog because my sister and I have been planning to move from the USA to Africa and we wanted to have some Chickens, and goats. You should try making a nipple water dripper and a gravity feeder for the feed from pvc pipes. Also I want to marinate your broilers in herbs and broil or grill them and set up a small restaurant and sell them, with some sort of side dishes, like my sister's yummy potato salad! Im also a floral designer and make t- shirts for sale. I think that you are a beautiful soul.
I feel like crying! not crying for you to stay but to quit like today because a good career is not based on qualifications but passion. I strongly believe you still use your qualification to apply yourself better in farming. You have a very big and brighter future. Go farming and I can see Africa prospering through you. As for your parents tell them you need a break to focus on farming for a while, I mean that the deplomatic way of saying you quiting...
I'm your age mate. I had same confusion. I worked for a year while setting up all I needed for farming.. then quitted from my formal employment as a lecture to a fulltime farmer. Im so passionate about farming and I'm inspired to have a channel and share ideas too. Lot of love brother from Botswana.
I am a software engineer and also a poultry farmer, I am inspired by your videos. Love from Nigeria. I would suggest you take some time off medical practice, maybe a year and see how the farming goes before you decide on quitting medical practice completely, remember every business always needs constant cash inflows for some years before it can stand firmly. I hope to make videos like yours someday.
Hi Dan (today I especially don't say doctor😉), me at 50 let me advice you this, follow your dream. My dad always wanted me to have a white collar job. So I ended up in IT business 30 years ago when pc came up. Later I worked for almost 11 years in health care in sales- and project management. 3 years ago I followed my dream in oekological farming and hey.. it's not all about money in this world. Doing farming now is the best decision ever. You see the results of your work every day and so many people encourage me every day to keep up this work. So... what ever you do... do it with love and passion and you never go wrong. Best regards, Peter.
I could listen to you the whole day. You are so natural and definitely passionate about what you do. You have encouraged me even more to persue my poultry business. Thank you brother 🙏
This is what I have been waiting for, there is an opportunity in farming, thank you Doctor Daniel. Am doing a small scale poultry farming while abroad, I set it up for my mom as a source of food and quick cash from selling the free range birds every time she needs some quick cash. It picked up well..the farm has over 300 birds and all these are indigenous birds..I am going back to Kenya to start my farm journey. You have inspired me to level up
Doc kinda understand. Am a software engineer and also a poultry farmer. Have a passion for both and will still continue doing both because I find joy. Love your channel, lots of learning. It's where I get my tutorials on poultry farming. Follow your heart. You are an inspiration to many of us.... From Kenya 😀👊🇰🇪
@Kahunde S. You sincerely have a point but it depends on from which perspective you are looking from. From the analysis that he has made, not only about the lost passion for the job, but also that he has no time to develop his own business (LIFE). I used the word "life" as business because that is what will eventually determine his future. It is obvious even if he didn't mention it that his projects/visions(Agriculture and mentoring) are already too big to be combined with other things otherwise he will lose out on both and that will be disastrous. Losing out on both like how(get sacked because of lack of passion, etc and his 🐔 business not growing because he is too busy to monitor it) There is a popular saying "Better quit when the ovation is loud 🔊". This is the best time for him to resign, so that he can concentrate to grow his own business... I pray 🙏 🙏 🙏 and wish you the best Dr. Dan, the sky is your limit and wish you to see you at the top 🔝...
@@Stageyuliamultimedia well said... the problem with most white collar workers, is not knowing when to quit the rat race. Dan has a very bright future in farming. Insecurity is the major reason most people are scared to quit. Most of our African parents think white collar job pays better, so they encourage their children to go after it. But that was in the past. Take a look at this, at 28year he already has a farm that can pay him around $800 from doing it part time, now imagine if he gives that enterprise expansion and do it full time, this guy can be making over $10k + in a matter of few years. Now tell me which hospital in Africa will pay him $2k in the next 5years and will also give him all the mental freedom. This is the time for him to build his empire
You don't quit, hang on in there. You need your parents blessing first, and since right now you're doing well on both sides and TH-cam is doing well too, don't quit
You're inspirational Doc... keen follower here in Zambia am a medical Doctor too with an interest in poultry farming and other enterprises... to achieve this level at such an age is just so encouraging...IT CAN BE DONE!
I have to say that I absolutely love your videos here in United States. you are an inspiration to me and that is saying a lot because I'm much older than you I just got into a little chicken farming and I have 29 chickens and I love it. I always had aspired to go to medical school and still do even at my age. The chickens have become my therapy and I watch every single video that you make and really love it. I really feel at my age that I have a lot of wisdom and could be your parent you are on the right track just keep doing what you're doing and don't worry about the conflict that you have it is okay totally normal. How old am I?. Well I'm 30 years younger than the now deceased " kijambiya". I remember all too well the beautiful citizens of your country and what they had to put up under the oppression with that guy when he was in charge. I believe there's many great people like you there in Uganda and I'm so happy that you're making these videos that I'm able to see your beautiful work and life. I have never been to your country but I so admire your ambition and enthusiasm that you have. You are definitely making a difference in my life with your videos. Hey Doc, be a successful chicken farmer and be a clinic doctor in your local community, then you have the best of both worlds Regards from South Africa
Hello Doctor Dan, i recently discovered your videos and i really love them, you really make farming enjoyable. About quitting....i think follow your heart, do what you love. About the African farm tour ....i support you 100% i know i will learn alot from those tours. Wishing you best of luck always...pls keep being bubbly coz it's contagious
Don't tell them directly just tell them you want to take a break I can see you as a big farmer my son is a medical doctor from the UK 🇬🇧 and he retired to be a business man doing constructions now he has big houses all over the world follow your dreams God bless you
Go ahead. Your videos are amazing and you have a good heart. You look so happy when you talk about your chickens and farm. Your father loves you and he will understand and support you. Who knows what tomorrow reserves! Live your dream now.
Same idea here, I am a nurse by profession and like my job but the standards and conditions of services here are way too low. In Kenya, many people are running away from the civil service to do farming and the I not thing they regret is having wasted years in civil service. So, I know you already have what it takes to be a farmer and that's what you love and the reward is huge! Go for it bro.!
Please don't retire Dr.Daniel you are saving lives.Being a Doctor is a dream to alot of people around the world. Please do the Poultry farming and still practice as a Doctor. Just keep making your Dad and family proud. I'm cameroonian leaving in Germany 🇩🇪
I am in hospital as I write this...my dad's life is now in God's hands and the able Doctors. I think the world is a far much better place with Doctors like you in it...Please do both...
Having watched the video, and listened to the points you presented. Its shows how passionate you are to poultry, I will advice you channel more energy to farming. Its always nice to do what makes us happy. My opinion though.
Pls. Dont retire doc. We need mor doctors this time, especially nw that we are facing a crisis from covid 19. And aside from that im sure u are a good doctor and a good person. So, thats a kind of doctor we need this time.. Pls stay as a doctor and keep making videos, i really really like all your vides doc. Ba bye
I know my comment comes in late.I just discovered your channel and am a new subscriber( from Kenya).I studied accounting CPA but only because my father wanted me to. I really enjoyed working as an accountant for 3.5 years but when my circumstances changed I also changed careers to being a florist- something i loved to do and now recently i am into little farming. I probably don't yet earn as much as i used to but i love what I do and I am hopeful I will get to where i want to be. So follow your passion but be ready to stand by your decision.
You're such an amazing guy. If there's one person that has inspired me to want to start poultry farming is you. Thanks so much. You have such a good heart for sharing your knowledge and experience. That is what we're lacking in Africa. Thank you Dr Daniel. Please follow your passion and pray for the best. Seek your parents blessings in all that you intend to accomplish, and success is all yours. Good luck. Keep making the incredible videos.
U being a doctor at the same time a farmer makes the whole thing encouraging for us to start farming too.so pls don't make us feel like we also need to stop what ever work we r doing when we start ur own farm too
Nice one @Malik M, but also it depends from what point are looking from. Sometimes your side hustle can turn your fortunes around and what else do you need than to concentrate(quit other job) to make that hustle grow bigger and perfect. You too can do so, let me give you an instance, you started out on your poultry 🐔 farm with 200 birds and you grew it to 3,000 with lesser time and efforts , yet making profits and enjoying the game,at the same time you are working 40hrs or more a week on a job that you are struggling to go to, making less or even about the the same amount of money that your business (poultry 🐔) is giving you. Over time you what will you consider doing???
I regret not making that desire in my life early. I am so happy, free and excited when am in a farm feeding and taking care of the life stock and l cant wait to start my farm again as working 8 am till 7pm in uk is so so boring and soul recking. And it will be an honour to invite you to my farm once it's set up in Lagos Nigeria
Thanks Dr for your determination, you always inspire me. To me I can say that is a wise decision. There is no need to be a slave to something you are not comfortable with. All the best and I know you will make it.
I had this conflict 10 years ago, didn't follow my passion and I am still unhappy. Don't waste the precious time the Lord has gifted with, do what fulfills you. If things don't go well you can always start over again as a Doctor. P.S: I watch all the adverts, its the least I could do for the hardwork you do on our behalf. And I absolutely love SMASHING the like button. All the best!
Dont quit, I recently became an chicken farmer too. But I also work as an chef by profession and have married both skill. Much love and respect from Jamaica.
Please go for it that's your heart desire and it makes you so happy. A lot of people go to work make a lot of money but not happy. Work is not all about money but the joy and happiness you derived from it
Follow your heart, you will not regret in the future. You have great potential for raising chicken, I really love the way you connects with your chickens. All the best bro, wishing you a big poultry farmer in the future 👍✌️
Hi Doc, I agree with your comments. I am presently a Police Officer for 23 years and my passion is Poultry farming ever since leaving high school. I have been doing Poultry farming for a few years and I am really considering leaving my job next year. I can only focus on one thing at a time. My wife already left her job already and I want to join her to focus on the farm.
Your happiness is really important, so keep farming and I think you don't have to totally dump doctoring like you said. Make your family/clan happy too. So you can also have a TH-cam channel for medical solutions as long as you love making videos. In the nearest future, I'll love to invite you to my farm
Dr. Danielle! Come to Fiji! I'm an aircraft engineer that's going into full time farming. I'd love to give you a tour around Fiji. I'm sure you will be a source of motivation for many like me. God bless you!
I am as excited as you are myself, since i started watching your content, i have since commenced the construction of my chicken coop with a similar design as yours, it should be completed soon and i will be at your farm as soon as i return to uganda to meet you for polishing of my startup requirements. You are the best bro but dont quit yet, expand the farm to a couple of thousand chickens before you retire.
I am in your shoes Dr. Dan and that is why I can practically respond to comments from other members. My own case is not about parents or passion for my job but simply because of the bills that I pay. I have lots of people on my budget every month and quitting my paid job(stable income) will affect lots of them but even at that I am relentlessly working hard to setting up my own farms and do my things, the things that I have passion for...
I think you can do both. Build a small clinic in front of your farm. Open a practice but keep it only for certain hours. Have a small pharmacy in there too. So you wake up, tend to your farm, cook and eat breakfast then open your clinic. Lunch break then see your patients till 3pm. One hour break, tend to the farm then make and have dinner then sleep. Might work out...
I luv luv this guy. You crack me up. See you whispering so no one will hear you and the look on your face when the passer by greeted you. Lol. You make my days, I even re watch the videos at times and just take it all in. On a more serious note , if this is what makes you happy do it with every fibre of your being. You will always be a doctor even I you are not practicing, aim for the stars my guy. Your parents will get over it when they see how successful and happy you are at farming. All the best whichever you choose. From Jamaica the country of the living Legend Bolt!!! Muah
hey....doctor.(very big title)i am from 🇰🇪 and i saw your work and it encouraged me.especially when i learned that you were a doctor.anyway you should not quit as a doctor when your parents depend on you as one.besides just know, the people in your village represent a majority of your followers.we too call you doctor.besides, people need doctors as much as the chickens need a caretaker😊😉.goodluck in your decision.😊
So in your opinion he should remain to be a doctor because of someone else. That is backwards thinking. Being happy inside is the most important thing in life.
Lol I can relate, Dan! I'm also the first Dr in an African family and honestly my mom loves it more than I do. Please follow your passion. I'm also almost 28 and quickly realizing it's not worth it if you'd actually be happier elsewhere.
I am not a doctor of course but I love farming thinking of starting my poultry farm soon and if it goes well I will definitely quit my job and do what I love ❤️ life is too short to be stuck in a job that don’t really enjoy....so I support you my brother.....much love ❤️ from South Africa 🇿🇦
I love the way u introduce yourself" I'm doctor Daniel but passionate on poultry farming " brother do what u are passionate about, again it's about making more money and inspire more young people, thanks again and good luck for that idea
You don't need to retire at all, at least not yet you are so young and much ahead to discover and do in the medical field. Continue both you will manage quite well I think. Kudos to you!!
With the love and passion that you have for farming I'm pretty sure your parents already know that's what you want to do. It probably just not knowing when you'll decide to do it that they don't know. As a father what iwant more than anything for my children is that they are able to provide for themselves comfortably and be doing what they love.
I can see the passion in you since I've been following your video. Everyone has one life to live and I believe it should be lived fully and enjoyed the most. The decision is yours and the ultimate is to make money and live a good and comfortable life.
Follow your passion. Your contribution will positively impact others that will follow your example. And not many of us will ever become doctors. Your food solutions for the planet are most welcome...! Keep it up
You are a great presenter and eloquent too. Keep it up son. What feeds do you use on your birds and what kind or revenue-cost relationship like? Please guide because I realise you are sincere and honest
I honestly love this channel so much. Just your passion and enthusiasm alone are amazing! And your smile is infectious! It makes me so happy to see you sharing what you care about trying to help others! And I don't even know anything about Chickens! Or at least I didn't before! lol Thank you for sharing your knowledge and experience with the world!
Hi bro, you are such an inspiration....you have inspired me to get into poultry farming. About quitting your job, I would say seeing how happy you are in the farming man that key right there you don't have to keep holding on to profession at the expense of what you are passionate about. Just to add, I think generally our mind set are leaning towards being an employee rather than being your own Boss or running your own business you are passionate about, so following your heart is key more than anything.
I retired myself just 3 years of clinical practice. I have opposed having a job . I know the challenges you go through as a practitioner in Uganda. Am in rwenzori, Kasese working on my pension.
I love you, I’m a parent, I’d be like your dad 😂😂 SO PROUD 💜🌸💜🌸💜🌸 But all I really care about is my son’s happiness. Too bad I lost him right at the start of COVID 🙁
This is a scary question for your future. I love your videos, your energy and your knowledge so I'll be here watching for sure! Its important that you are happy in what you do and you can always go back to medicine. Your dad will probably be upset for a while but eventually when he sees you are happy farming he will find peace with it.
Bro if chickens is want you want to do you do it, when your the best poultry business in the world your dad will be twice as proud of you and if he loves you, trust me he will just want you to be happy and do what you love
TH-cam would not closed down easily. TH-cam is a big company. More likely you failed in farming than on TH-cam & even medical degree had more risk at failing. But you managed it, you can do all youtube, farming, & doctor. Really nothing can stop you. I recommend to prioritize farm first & doctor second, build a clinic. You can be more flexible with time at clinic
Follow your passion and what makes you happy. You only have 1 life on this planet. Theres no reason to live your life to keep others happy. Consider keeping a chunk of money hidden away in case of a problem with the farm (chicken disease, weather disaster). Healthy food IS medicine. If farming can net you more money for your potential family future, you have every reason to change professions.
Hello from Perth Australia! Deferring as a DR for now to be a farmer is not quitting or retiring. Go for what makes you happy. You can pay back your parents when you are successful in happiness and love. You already said that farming is the love of your life and that says everything. Looking forward to your next video no matter your decision. Dr or not Dan
A doctor may treat many people but a farmer feeds many people too. One might seem more prestigious than the other but both are just as important. Maybe your parents will be disappointed to begin with but if they see that it makes you happy and that you successful then I'm sure they will come around. Love your content, keep it up! X

I sincerely hope you can manage both, you are so young and can do so much for your community bro, ❤❤❤
I am in hospital as I write this...my dad's life is now in God's hands and the able Doctors. I think the world is a far much better place with Doctors like you in it...Please do both...
Don't quit please
You inspire me young man. look at how this poultry business is touching our lives also. its a tough decision but your passion counts the most
Doc don’t quit u really inspired me am getting into poultry farming very soon God willing
Thumbs up for the African farm tour idea. It can and will be phenomenal!!
I did Ph.D is biology and working in a University. I am thinking to quit and go for farming including chicken farming. I need this kind of motivation.
Ba bye
You'll a powerhouse of positive energy.....whatever you choose, I think you'll going to be successful at it
Do what your heart says. At least in later stages of life, no regrets should be there!
You know the drill! All the best
I really love it when you said your poultry farm will never ever fail
That’s self confidence and faith
😍
You're such an amazing guy. If there's one person that has inspired me to want to start poultry farming is you. Thanks so much. You have such a good heart for sharing your knowledge and experience. That is what we're lacking in Africa. Thank you Dr Daniel. Please follow your passion and pray for the best. Seek your parents blessings in all that you intend to accomplish, and success is all yours. Good luck. Keep making the incredible videos.
I just subscribed because I can relate to your story. I just quit some few weeks ago to go fully in fish Farming.
U being a doctor at the same time a farmer makes the whole thing encouraging for us to start farming too.so pls don't make us feel like we also need to stop what ever work we r doing when we start ur own farm too
I've done it for two years together. You sure can
Nice one @Malik M, but also it depends from what point are looking from.
Oh wow. So beautiful. Thank you😍
Dont quit, I recently became an chicken farmer too.
From now I shall endure the adds now that I know the benefit it gives to your program. You are just amazing Mwebale ssebbo 🤝
What brings you joy and happiness is the key to a long and healthy life. Making videos is good medicine because then we smile too 😊
Hi Doc, I agree with your comments. I am presently a Police Officer for 23 years and my passion is Poultry farming ever since leaving high school. I have been doing Poultry farming for a few years and I am really considering leaving my job next year. I can only focus on one thing at a time. My wife already left her job already and I want to join her to focus on the farm.
Hey Doctor
Your happiness is contagious
Keep smiling
I am encouraged by your energy, meditate on your choices and may your passion guide you.
Might work out...
u always been positive .do your passionate even farming is now innovative and good .
but the dad will LISTEN in the mean time .
Muah
Aww😍
hey....doctor.(very big title)i am from 🇰🇪 and i saw your work and it encouraged me.especially when i learned that you were a doctor.anyway you should not quit as a doctor when your parents depend on you as one.besides just know, the people in your village represent a majority of your followers.we too call you doctor.besides, people need doctors as much as the chickens need a caretaker😊😉.goodluck in your decision.😊
So in your opinion he should remain to be a doctor because of someone else. That is backwards thinking. Being happy inside is the most important thing in life.
@@cwill2000 someone else!!!!who is the someone else....what help can you give him like his parents who you are refering to as someone else.!???
Lol I can relate, Dan! I'm also the first Dr in an African family and honestly my mom loves it more than I do. Please follow your passion. I'm also almost 28 and quickly realizing it's not worth it if you'd actually be happier elsewhere.
Lovely
I am not a doctor of course but I love farming thinking of starting my poultry farm soon and if it goes well I will definitely quit my job and do what I love ❤️ life is too short to be stuck in a job that don’t really enjoy....so I support you my brother.....much love ❤️ from South Africa 🇿🇦
You inspire me so much Dr. Daniels God bless you and your plans
I love the way u introduce yourself" I'm doctor Daniel but passionate on poultry farming " brother do what u are passionate about, again it's about making more money and inspire more young people, thanks again and good luck for that idea
😍
You don't need to retire at all, at least not yet you are so young and much ahead to discover and do in the medical field. Continue both you will manage quite well I think. Kudos to you!!
With the love and passion that you have for farming I'm pretty sure your parents already know that's what you want to do. It probably just not knowing when you'll decide to do it that they don't know. As a father what iwant more than anything for my children is that they are able to provide for themselves comfortably and be doing what they love.
Dr Dan, you are the BEST!
Keep it up
🤸🏽♂️
You are a great presenter and eloquent too. Keep it up son. What feeds do you use on your birds and what kind or revenue-cost relationship like? Please guide because I realise you are sincere and honest
I honestly love this channel so much. Just your passion and enthusiasm alone are amazing! And your smile is infectious! It makes me so happy to see you sharing what you care about trying to help others! And I don't even know anything about Chickens! Or at least I didn't before! lol Thank you for sharing your knowledge and experience with the world!
Awww...thank you 😍
your passion is the first beginning to be a winner
Dan, I think farming is your first love my dear. Go for it. Your passion for it is great.
You are what i call a HERO! Cheers from france a black dude looking at you!
I love you, I’m a parent, I’d be like your dad 😂😂 SO PROUD 💜🌸💜🌸💜🌸
But all I really care about is my son’s happiness. Too bad I lost him right at the start of COVID 🙁
I think I love him . Hehe. Your enthusiasm makes me smile.
This is a scary question for your future. I love your videos, your energy and your knowledge so I'll be here watching for sure! Its important that you are happy in what you do and you can always go back to medicine. Your dad will probably be upset for a while but eventually when he sees you are happy farming he will find peace with it.
Oh yes. Hoping he understands just as you have.
I love your passion and I wish you enjoy farming for life. It's the best decision you are making right now. Follow your heart ♥️
Oooooooo. African farm tour!! I’ll be looking forward to those videos when you get to that level. Wishing you all the best in your ventures
I'm excited too
Bro if chickens is want you want to do you do it, when your the best poultry business in the world your dad will be twice as proud of you and if he loves you, trust me he will just want you to be happy and do what you love
U better than anyone know wat is best for u.wish u the best
dont quit your job sir, I Think you can do a long your job and farming
TH-cam would not closed down easily. TH-cam is a big company. More likely you failed in farming than on TH-cam & even medical degree had more risk at failing. But you managed it, you can do all youtube, farming, & doctor. Really nothing can stop you.
I recommend to prioritize farm first & doctor second, build a clinic. You can be more flexible with time at clinic
I hardly comment but know that happiness is key..
Thank you
Follow your passion and what makes you happy.
Wow. Thank you
You might fail but we surely won't, which ever path you decide to take we got you bro.
Peace and wisdom
👏... I am amazed and happy for you, for the fact that you've what you're passionate about, which draws your juice's and potential out of you.
Wode Maya brought me here.
Bless up 😃
Watching from Sydney Australia
A doctor may treat many people but a farmer feeds many people too. One might seem more prestigious than the other but both are just as important. Maybe your parents will be disappointed to begin with but if they see that it makes you happy and that you successful then I'm sure they will come around. Love your content, keep it up! X
Follow your passion Daniel. Great stuff keep. Just do you what makes you happy
