I’ve been sewing and embroidering for years and I always open the sleeve. To keep the hoop from getting sticky I would put painters tape on it.

Love your video. I have the same embroidery machine. Could the sleeve be sewn back on a regular sewing machine? I don't have a serger. Also, haven't used my 500E yet. Can't figure out how to transfer bought designs from my computer to USB drive. I'm doing something wrong. Seen a couple videos and designs still not transferring. I have an MC300E with a ton of jef designs (17 years worth). Hoping I can establish what I'm doing wrong so I can use the big hoops. Glad I found your channel.
