As a Spurs fan, massively pleased for yourself and all Newcastle fans. I've seen what you lot have been put through and you deserve every second of last night. Good luck going forward
Atmosphere plays a big part, especially on European nights. See it a lot at anfield, crazy things can happen when there’s a real connection between the crowd and the team
The goal-scorers make it even sweeter for the fans. Two local lads and three players that were there prior to the takeover. Just shows the incredible job Eddie Howe has done. Newcastle excellent, fans unreal, but Enrique had a mare. Picking a front 4 with a 2 in midfield was an awful tactical decision and played right into Newcastle’s hands, Kolo Muani and Gonçalo Ramos was complete overkill.
Three of the four scorers had been there under Bruce. Highly doubtful they would be capable of hitting a cow's backside while he was in charge. Botman's replacement Lascelles is another Bruce-era player. All this bollocks about "You're buying success" eh? Botman & Barnes are post Takeover signings and I was deeply concerned how we would cope with all these lads missing. It says more about our manager and his coaching team, to improve VERY average players that Bruce clearly had no idea what to do with.....
I’m not a Newcastle fan (Real Madrid fan) but I enjoyed that game I loved how Newcastle played from the first second to the last they played like they had something to prove it was beautiful to see the atmosphere was amazing and the team was amazing as well congrats to all Newcastle fans better things are coming
Absolutely spot on about our injuries and the players who have stepped in and done a job . All of our players know what it is to wear the shirt . All play with pride and passion 🖤🤍
newcastle need to keep eddie howe and treat him like man utd treated alex ferguson, the moment newcastle get impatient and bargain on another manager is when the dream ends, do not make that mistake, do not be another chelsea.
I'm just an American who likes watching European football and Premier League without any ties to any particular team. Gotta say though it's hard not to support a team like Newcastle that plays like that. Well deserved and enjoy it, Geordies!
We endure. Enjoyment is not our specialty. But, we hope and we endure. "This club is our club, Made out of two clubs, To form United, Oh what a great club, We'll always be there, Win lose we don't care, We are the Geordies of NUFC." Newcastle have more points at this point compared to last season and they have already played a lot of top 6 challengers like aston villa, man city, liverpool, Brighton and Brentford yes they had a great season last year. Crazy to think nobody has noticed this.
I remember reading something like this earlier, your right its crazy to think alot of the "hard" clubs are done now its point collecting.... Oh an ManU in the Carabao god I am looking forward to that.
on the thought of gordon setting the tone which he definitely does but also i think tonali deserves alot of credit for doing the same in midfield. he gave the psg players no time on the ball atall, thought he was absolutely quality in that first half.
As an Arsenal fan, I've always admired Newcastle as a legendary club, and I've always been envious of you Geordies having such insane passion for your club. And I do hope Eddie Howe can win some silverware with this team, they're such an underrated and yet extremely talented bunch.
I loved to see the emphasis you put on this video, as you were waiting this moment for years. And I hope Sandro could do a great season, even I think he lacks a bit of "associative control", I mean he is not a player capable to associate himself frequently and with pace.. but he is very strong defensively as he has a 4x4 on quadriceps. Sorry for ny english., ciao.
Our most important signing for Newcastle has been Howe. Listening to his interview on The High Performance podcast and you can see why he gets so much out of his players. How can you not love a team that gives their all like that? And the crowd were immense. I was at the Feyenoord game. Wish I'd been at this one. We'll be talking about it for years to come! Great video Brian. What a night it was, reminiscent of the good old days. Trips is pure class but Beardsley second time round was legendary. Cole got the credit for like 40 goals in one season but Beardsley was the unsung hero in that combination. Controlling the middle of the pitch, multiple assists and about 20 goals a season to boot. Anyhow. Gan canny kidda. Cheers
I would imagine PSG look at their fixture against Newcastle and falsely assumed that it would be an easy 3 points for them. I find it hard to believe that PSG took this game super seriously and that they believed they could lose. Newcastle benefitted from PSG being in a bad run of form lately but there's no guarantee that it'll be the same the next time the two clubs meet. As for the other clubs in the group, Milan and Dortmund don't have as much quality as PSG but I imagine they'll take Newcastle much more seriously when they come to St. James' Park. As for Newcastle, I do think they'll get out of the group and this result must surely make them a strong contender or even a lock for Top Four especially with Brighton being on dodgy form lately.
@@calum9124no, you need to be in top 4 to get UCL spots. If you finish below top 4 then you can't make UCL (except if you win the UCL and finish at any position in league, then you qualify for UCL)
@@JubaidRahman Prem could have Top 5 qualifying for Champions League next year with the changes and the coefficient being good enough. The change is in place, just the coefficient that will decide if it's Top 4 or Top 5.
@JubaidRahman How can five teams qualify for the Champions League? The two leagues that have the best coefficients this season will get an extra place in the UCL group stage next season. If England is in the top two, fifth in the Premier League will qualify for the Champions League. Individual club coefficient isn't relevant; it goes to the next team in the domestic table. The good news for the Premier League is it has been in the top two in six of the past seven seasons.

Your critique of miggy not thinking is just wrong. His off the ball positioning and pressure is class. His movement is class. He's made mistakes with short passes and missed opportunities but so have Haaland and Isak. Totally unjustified critique. Miggy deserves more respect from you
You're a Newcastle United fan? Irony over a team being called united when they have multiple teams in a city.😉 Manchester definitely are not united right now. I think it's Erik Ten Hag and his poor man management. But what do I know...
Man fair play, i remember it felt like they weren't sure if they wanted him or emery. Obviously both are doing well but howe is doing amazing work tactically as well as motivationally.
One massive innovation this past week has been the players all getting into working the crowd up and conducting the noise after every tackle and every attack. If they can make that a fixture of our home games then we'll go up another level, though that might be something the lads need to save for the massive occasions.
Almiron - a quiet and humble player used as a punchline by a boozy Grealish to slate one of his teammates Big Dan Burn - local lad who was released from the academy and worked his way up to the premier league from the lower leagues. Longstaff - talented youth player uncovered by Rafa and who lost his way under Bruce and battled mental health and injury struggles. It's coming to a point, we need to clear some space for the Howe/Tindall statue. It was being joked about on talksport, but I'm seriously up for that. He's already achieving enough to start that conversation
That draw at milan will probably be just as important in getting thru as the win vs PSG. If ye can beat milan in Newcastle then you gotta be looking strong for qualification to the knockouts. I've noticed Eddie Howe is a manager that LEARNS with every game from what opposition teams present to his tactics...he is on a learning process to... getting better and BETTER!!!
