Truth is Trent is not as influential in the current system as he has been in the past. A system that has us at the top of both leagues and looking our most solid as we’ve been for the past 5 years. No doubt he’s still a quality player, but my biggest grief wouldn’t be that he’s leaving, but that he’s leaving for free. Missing out on 90-100m would be a huge blow.
The reality is that playing in a more conservative way with orthodox fullbacks is suiting us better. If you’re building the team around him, giving him a free role to maraud forward and paying him effectively to score and create-then pay him the money to do that. If you’re not, then don’t 🤷♂️
@@christophermancini7334 I can actually say that about VVD too. VVD passing accuracy is better than Trent’s. I know you’re not ready for that conversation.
One point not mentioned is the disruption of the team dynamic if trent is offered around £350k. A lot of the other players will demand more especially when someone like Diaz is rumoured to be in £55k. The cost to the club would therefore potentially be a lot more than just trents contract. The plauers accept Mo being on £350k because his goals and assists hace diect results on the team winning same cant be said of trent currently
@@marcg3210 seriously why on earth are we assuming he is demanding that money when no reliable outlet has any reporting on any of the inner logistics of these negotiations. It's like people have accepted he won't sign which is why they are ready to believe anything they hear about him.
Good discussion, but the attempt to remove biases was not very successful. The fact is that without biases, no right back is worth 300/week and it is really a simple decision. I have my doubts that even Madrid will pay him that. Their recent form showed that they desperately need a center back, a play-making midfielder and a good defensive right back. Trent was a nice idea for them when they thought they were already stacked, but they now have obviously bigger priorities where they will need to spend the money. It would suck to lose Trent for free, but at this point, I'd personally be fine with Bradley and less drama. And this is not bashing Trent. It is simply the value of the position. LFC does not have unlimited resources and I'd rather the money be spent keeping Salah, getting his successor and possibly improving at striker. I was against overpaying Salah as well, but his goal contributions are too important, even if his overall play starts to dip, so I'd rather overpay him for a couple of years.
I don't think you can just ignore his past stats even with with passing numbers being down this year, because we all know what he can do. So even if Slot did want him to be more defensive, he's still on the pitch and can make a pass to pick out a player at any moment. You could argue that him proving he can play more defensively this year makes him more valuable because he's showing he can do both sides really well. That being said though I don't know if he's more valuable then Salah, and 350k a week seems like a lot for him, but I hope he does sign a new contract. I'm just glad I'm not the one who has to make these decisions.
Thanks for saying this. The other comments are so weird. They are almost downplaying what having a top footballer like Trent means for a side that wants to win the league and the champions league because the contract situation is not ideal. Example of what you said was the Arsenal match. He was mainly defending and while he had some wayward passes which could be frustrating, he was ultimately involved in both goals, doesn't matter who got the assist on paper. Right now all the creative onus is on Salah who is in incredible form and is involved in 75-80% of our goals. But that's not sustainable. Without him, our only fallback creator is Trent since we don't have wingers or midfielders who can individually be volume creators like that. Not to mention here you aren't just letting him go, but letting him go to a direct rival in the Champions League. Ultimately big clubs play big wages to top players. It's just how the way things roll. In any case no one really knows what wages he is asking for and this is just speculation.
I would have said £250k a week with incentives on assists, goals and clean sheets is fair for Trent. £300k for Salah for a 2 year extension. £200k for Virgil for a 2 year extension.
@@gmtime5439 That's what I have been saying for so long. We have quality up front but only VVD in the back. The win rate of Liverpools increases by 5% when Salah is not playing as opposed to Salah playing. Liverpool are so hot and have Depth like no other team that the win rate is more or less the same or increases when players are missing with the exception of VVD it drops by 14%. We lost 40% of our games when he was missing. We lost plenty of players to afcon, used U21s had injuries etc. But continued to win games.
That was a very enlightening video. Not sure if that was the intention, but I feel much more at peace at the prospect of Trent departing. Something to add, is that, to me at least, it seems highly improbable that Trent will play the same role at Real that he played under Klopp. Real are notorious for bringing in galacticos and then attempting to get them to play together - just look at Vini and Mbappe currently. Thanks lads - much appreciated 🙂
However you look at it, in the current market, Trent is worth between £75m-£100m. The fact that Liverpool look likely to miss out on a transfer fee for him is pretty damning. Heads should roll for such a mistake.
The club just assumed because he’s a local lad he would never leave so I bet they didn’t feel like they had to offer him a new contract. As soon as he started hanging out with Bellingham and going on holiday with him after Bellingham had signed for Real Madrid the alarm bells at the club should have started ringing. The only reason Trent would go to Madrid is because Bellingham plays for them.
@@alistairsmith5389no the reasons he will go are playing in an easier league with way better weather in a beautiful city, becoming a superstar in a new country, guaranteed trophies, a massive signing on fee and bump in wages. Honestly It's kind of a no-brainer for a young man with a sense of adventure. It's a shame Liverpool won't get a fee for him but he didn't cost them anything in the first place and they have a free replacement ready to go in Connor Bradley.
Saw a comment on a video the other day that Spanish and German media absolutely love Trent and think of him very highly, where as our own media are always looking for reasons to criticise and put him down. For those reasons I’d always understand why he wanted to go to another country to play, however being a lad from the city not seeing Liverpool as your destination doesn’t sit right with me. It would leave a bitter taste in the mouth but I’d wish him well regardless.
@ that’s true but have our media not already shown times where they’ve turned on Trent? He doesn’t get the credit he deserves and all they ever do is label him a bad defender when I’ve never seen him struggle 1v1 to the point where it’s a problem. He’s been caught high up the pitch plenty but that was a systematic thing, English media are awful
In an ideal word he signs a 5 year contract..and we get another 2 -3 years out of him before he goes off to Madrid. He would be between 28-29 when he leaves, we get a fee for him and still gets to spend at least 5 years playing in Spain
Why would Madrid waste time signing a 29-year-old? They'd probably be after Connor Bradley by then. When Madrid sign "elite" players they want a 10-year window on the end of their career. Even 39-year-old Modric signed for them at 27.
I don’t think the plan is necessarily to make Trent more ordinary I think it’s more a symptom of how we are playing. A lot of Trent’s assists over the years have come from long passes and crosses, low percentage stuff. Slot is clearly coaching the team as a whole to do less of that.
Balls into final third are often defenders as midfielders and certainly attackers are already stationed there to receive the pass. We can cope without him, just a shame to lose him
Just imagine that it was a foreign player we had that played exactly like Trent.. How forgiving would you be for him shirking 50/50s, losing the ball and not putting in any effort to recover it?
I hope Slot gives Trent a bit more freedom. I get he values risk/reward regarding passing but it’s criminal to ask him to not to be himself on the ball
Mate....we lost two matches against RM because Ancelotti targeted Trent.....Trent is defensively better this season because he only focus on his defensive duties......the creative and chance creation falls on Mo more and through the middle.
I think with De Jong's wages its because during covid he agreed to forgo his salary for a while to help the club, now they are back paying on top of his current wages!
Really good discussion. Never thought about it from a financial/$ perspective. Just given what Madrid can offer him financially and ambition wise I think he’s gone. We won’t pay him 350k. I’ll just be extremely frustrated if we don’t replace him/if him leaving means that we don’t sign an extra player. For example if the plan is to sign a CM and a ST, we sign a RB and a CM or a ST because we had to replace Trent. As long as we are able to replace him AND get our original targets I don’t have a problem with him leaving.
that's the thing Trent has already won everything with us so I don't think he will be bothered by that. If it doesn't work at RM, he will be picked up by another big football team in europe because he's very talented, if he wants to leave for something different no matter the risk that is fine. I just wish it wasnt on a free but i feel the club also messed up on that front.
I'm not sure what Liverpool's current squad amount is, but something trent has on his side is hes homegrown. It matters for how many players you can have in the squad for both the UCL and CL.
No he doesn't. Barring one standout performance against Chelsea early last year, Bradley has had nowhere near the performances required to be a top fullback. Even his performance Saturday against Villa was very poor. He is neither a better defender nor better going forward than Trent. You can be mad about the contract situation without being in blatant denial.
@@satadishasahabhowmick3900You're both at either end of the spectrum, both end of extreme. Bradley isn't as good as Trent, but he's a really good full back. He didn't just have one good game last season, he was playing incredibly throughout that run of games when Trent was out. And he has played well every game this season.
@@PencilBubble25 I'm not saying he was bad, but he wasn't incredible either, just an average level which is fine if you are a mid table club. But to win the league or the champions league you need a quality higher than that. Bradley's standout performance has been one game barring which he was decent last season. This season he has been rather poor
@ IF Trent goes, we should definitely sign another right back to compete with Bradley, but I do disagree with you about his performances. There was a 5-10 game span last season including the Bournemouth and Chelsea games I remember his performances blew me away with how good he was. Maybe it was because he just played for Bolton in League One so I thought less of him, but he was definitely really good for those amount of games.
@@satadishasahabhowmick3900 Conor was MOTM on a couple of occasions.. it's quite incredible for a player playing his first games for the club. No one is worse defender than Trent.. it's not just his effort.. it's hard to find another player with as little defensive awareness.. The ball is passed around him like he wasn't there. And once you go past Trent, you can be sure that you will have time to slow down and surveil your options. But then again crossing to the far post where Trent is "marking" someone from the right might be even an easier option to reveal his ineptness. Bradley is an honest worker, who understands dynamic play both on offense and defense.. Salah looks more involved with Bradley and not with the best pinger..
How much would a top class RB cost? £40m, £150k per week. Balanced out over a five yr contract thats £800k a week. Not taking into account the unknown of a new player.
Gutted if he goes but I don't think it's the end of the world, I think if we go all out for Frimpomg he can get as many assists and even more goals. Trent has done it all for the club, I wouldn't be angry if he wanted to go to Madrid. I'd be more angry at the club for letting it get to this stage where he goes for free or very small fee.
Disagree that this is only a this season thing. 4 assists he got last season, probably similar year before. He hasn’t posted 13 or anywhere near it for a few years now
A born & bred scouser playing for the team he loves.Has massive pride in his city. Will be the next captain of one of the biggest clubs in world football.Or just another player @ Madrid??
Lads you’re saying about his numbers but he takes all the corners and free kicks. Might be controversial but let him go an move on. He shouldn’t get a penny over 300 .
Last season, Bradley was better than Trent at RB. I was wowed in so many games with him there, so I don’t get that Trent is 3 or 4 times better than Bradley talk.
@ what really frustrates me is, when there is good pass, but he goes for the Hollywood one, and it hits the first man, all of sudden someone else has to clean up his mess.
@@unitymuzik7110 someone else has to clean up the mess? What nonsense. As if he has also not been defending full tilt this whole season. Risky passes don't always come across, not to mention most of the time he is asked to play passes from positions that are quite different from those he'd occupy say two seasons back. It's like all of a sudden Liverpool fans have stopped rating him because the contract situation is dragging. There is not a single creative outlet in his team barring Salah at the moment. It's extremely important that Trent is used well to ease off some of that burden from Salah or these results will start looking different.
But that’s always been Trent tbh. He’s never been fully efficient. Bit like Bruno fernandes, sometimes the pass works, sometimes it doesn’t. I think slot wants him to pick and choose his moments better.
He’d be mad to go. He’s loved at Lfc and the club is top of both leagues. Real is a hollow place where they don’t care about anything except money and turn on you in the blink of an eye.
Retaining Trent and Salah is about creating and protecting the Liverpool brand. I'm not sure if FSG care that much about it, but maybe they are, we'll see.
Great show lads but just to let you know you have both frazzled my brain (with all the great opinions/thoughts) and broke a part of my heart at the same time. If Slot is setting up the team not to show case Trents strengths, which seems obvious, then why should Trent have any allegiance...... As much as the club may have given him, he has equally given from childhood to manhood, if my boss wanted me gone and some company wanted to pay me more I'd be off like most sane minded people... What the club could never give him is his inherent brilliance with a football.
Real Madrid is difficult to turn down. I personally think Trent will go. As long as he doesn't return to the PL after Madrid and sign for Man U or Everton.
He’s been brilliant - it’s a shame we’re losing a local lad who is the envy of many for game-winnng right back - Bradley will do just fine in that spot - Trent can have an plenty stinkers with Hollywood balls or telegraphed stuff that gets intercepted
From the outside looking in it feels he wants to be a superstar that transcends the game itself, the way Jude is and there's no better place to do than at madrid. The person I feel the worst for is Valverde, he'll have to do the defensive work for half the team.
For a club that's notoriously stingy in the market and doesn't invest until push comes to shove, Liverpool should be careful for what they wish. Trent is the only other reliable creative outlet that we have barring Salah who is also not going to be in this club long term. Right now Trent is tasked to do more defending and it's working out because Mo is in incredible form. But to just rely on Mo for 75% of our goals involvements is not sustainable. What happens when Mo is injured or unavailable? We don't have a #10 like that. Nor are our other wingers creative to rack up 10/15 assists or create big chances in volume individually, like Mo or Trent are capable of doing. And even in defending we don't have anyone better than Trent in the RB position. Bradley is nowhere near the level needed for a top league/UCL contending side. Fact is top players demand top wages. Either act like a big club or pay the consequences of losing one of your own and strengthening a rival club.
Er Harvey Elliot is still to come. You did not mention Curtis Jones. Gakpo, Diaz, Nunez, Jota can all assist as well and let's not forget Robertson and Macca can be magical if he is slightly forward he can pick a pass as good as Trent. Liverpool will do fine without him. The stats show that no player, apart from VVD, when lost drops Liverpools win rate. The win rate is more or less the same or increases. E.g. Liverpool without MO Salah have a 5% higher win rate. So we will be fine without Trent.
@LlewellynReeve again none of them barring Harvey and Salah are volume creators, whose game is focused on pass first and create big chances. Being capable of a few assists is very very different from what Mo does or what Trent has been doing for us. Mo is ofc a double edged sword because he also scores just as much. We have to see what role Slot has cut out for Harvey, imo he has to be the starting 10 over Szoboszlai. Regardless a good team needs to have several creative outlets in the team. Again there's no benefit to be had by offloading one of our best players for the past seven years to an European rival.
@@satadishasahabhowmick3900 this is my last comment to you cause I see it's pointless as you are not clued up. Nunez had much more assists than Trent last year and this was the Trent under Klopps Heavy metal Reign. 4 assists in 28 league games is not good enough again look at the stats of all other players in his position. Salah, Nunez and Elliot all had better figures than Trent while Macca was close. So to say liverpool will fall from grace without Trent is Obsurd. They just need a replacement. Apart from VVD, where Liverpools win Rate drops by 14% without him, every other player missing the win rate is better or the same. U21s vs Chelsea, 4-0 against Barca without a 1st choice frontline, Afcon, absentees, injury etc. Many many more examples. All happened and Liverpool keep on winning. Liverpool have a 5% higher win rate without Salah. So don't give me that nonsense talk of how important Trent is when there are others who can do what he is doing in Europe better defensively. He is a fullback meant to defend as per Slotball. Others are meant to do those assists going forward. And Liverpool have plentiful who can do it.
@LlewellynReeve you must be daft because you are putting words in my mouth. Where on earth did I say Liverpool will fall from grace without him? I said our creativity is lopsided now which is why we shouldn't look to lose creative players to teams who'll be our direct rivals in Europe. Clearly nuance isn't your strong suit given the strong assumptions you keep making every time you begin to type. How is it a surprise to you that an inverted fullback who plays further back gets less assist over a season than forward players? Trent was injured for two months to last season mind you and could've had more assists if Nunez knew how to finish. I'm not the one who is bringing up stupid reasons like ohh he said something about a Ballon D'or in some video, therefore he must not want to play for Liverpool. You are! Who cares about win-rate, watch actual matches, how we build up and who plays what role there. And yes ofc him being defense focused this season means he isn't occupying some of the positions from which most of his assists came in early Klopp years. All this shows is that he is very versatile and important. He has excelled in many variations of the RB role that's been tasked upon him so far. That doesn't make him trivial to the club, rather the opposite. We are a good squad so we'll obviously be resilient. That has nothing to do with being okay with losing one of our best players of the past several years. I'm not the one here who doesn't keep faith in players wearing the shirt, you don't!
For Trent there are a long list of reasons to go to Madrid - new adventures, better weather, a beautiful city, becoming a star in a new market, guaranteed trophies, playing with the biggest stars in the world, a big signing on fee and higher wages - and only one or two reasons to stay at Liverpool - to become a club legend and stay near his family.
I haven't studied anything, but is it possible opponents are planning to stop his involvement, as they understand the threat he poses, which is greater than anyone else in the back half of our squad?
To be honest Trent has been pissing me off since last summer when he was out twerking with the Real Madrid squad right in the middle of a summer transfer window, which was massively disrespectful to LFC and the fan base. Then recently the comments he made about winning the Ballon Dor which only proves his head is gone and any semblance of staying humble is long gone. He thinks he is bigger than LFC now. If he doesn't sign by xmas then get rid on January even if it is for 30m. Connor Bradley is not on his level yet but his ceiling is just as high as Trent's.
Would there be a thought to offering Trent a longer term deal (Chelsea like) and betting on him for more than just 5 years? Or will he want to sign only a five year deal so he can have another opportunity to sign a lucrative deal when he is 30 or so?
Liverpool should have sorted Trent’s contract out 18 months to 2 years ago , but yet again Liverpool have shot themselves in the foot I believe that Trent is going at the end of the season because Real has got his head turned + you can see it happening. As a lfc fan for 55 years I’m absolutely gutted that he will be leaving. I just hope that van Dijk and Salah will sign new contracts . YNWA
20:30 basing the quality of a player on rumours of an interest by a team is very unconvincing. Even if they signed him, which hasn't happened.. was Arbeloa the best fullback in the world when he went to RM?
I like to think that we're different, but lets be honest the one club man doesnt exist anymore. If players want to be considered among the best of all time, theres a strong expectation to prove it in different leagues, and they know it. If you take away the fact that he's an academy kid, you'd think its very understandable to be looking at an adventure abroad at his age and stage of his career.
I think he’ll leave. I will hold a grudge. This kid has been waxing lyrical for years about being the next Gerrard, he is vice captain at the club ffs. If he wants to further his modelling carreer at Madrid, be my guest. But, once they’re tired of him in a season or two, or when the next star kids renders him obsolete, and he wants to come back to the prem, just know the door at the club will be closed.
Anyone, Trent included that does want to play for us can leave, and as quickly as possible £20 million in January for him is a better deal than a player saving himself for another club
That ‘conductor’ player, required to break down a low block, is in fact Trent. He comes inside, is given licence to move higher up & around the pitch, to pick the pass or find a hole, to break down the defence. This is how Slot is /will use him, when we’re behind or struggling to find a goal. Albeit, it looks more & more likely he’s off to Madrid.
If we wanna stay in to compete with the top dogs we’re gonna have to start adjusting to the market. Not buy high, not paying high wages will only hurt the club more in the long run. Players will get the money somewhere else. If we either can’t pay him that or doesn’t want to, then don’t blame him for going after it somewhere else. Remember he is worth whatever someone is willing to pay him!!! YNWA
if the grapvine is true (both getting offered 325) do you think it means 1 of them has a top earner clause in their contract? mo and trent being the them.
@@JPayne95 If we actively decide that the time of pissing us about has gone and we flaunt him around now, there might be other teams and not just RM getting involved. I would even take 50 mil over two years..

I agree but just feel the grass isn’t always greener, if he leaves will it be a Suarez like move where he carries on smashing it after leaving or will it be a coutinho situation, time will tell
@@holyjebus we'll see. Just saying contracts run out, he's not renewing, that's his choice. He's not thrown his toys out the pram saying he wants to leave whilst he's still under contract etc. Could be that he doesn't leave who knows. Obviously I want him to stay. But if he leaves then fair enough. He's left in a professional manner.
Exactly where I’m at. I’ve seen plenty of players leave, he’s been a model professional, won everything here, so why not let him go try a different league? I also don’t agree with making a right back one of your top earners.
Sure if he goes to Madrid he’ll get one bite at a big cherry. But if he stays he’ll get lots of bites at a slightly smaller cherry. In a world where legends are born from loyalty, I know what I’d do.
if he goes then it would be a bigger stain on his reputation than it was for Macca and MO(pre MO joining Utd). He has won the medals, he is in a team that is as good as anyone on our day and could win big trophies still, the reasons to justify it aren't there like they where for the others. He does get unfair treatment in the Uk media and i could understand wanting away from that negativity and If he leaves I wont turn against him but would lose respect for him for not trying to get out when a fee was due, leave the club in a better position on the way out. His career his choice, Liverpool will be fine either way so its just a case of him deciding what he wants his legacy with the fans to be. Bosman away from your boyhood club is a big statement though.
I hope he stays but also can’t blame anyone for wanting to go different leagues etc but it’s unexceptionable that he could leave on a free. And a lot of the fan base would turn on him if does go on a free. Surely they have been trying to offer him a new contract for a couple of years now??
The reason Trent hasn’t stood out as much this season is bc slot wants him to pick and choose his moments to play the final ball. It goes back to ‘risk vs reward’ that slot keeps mentioning. Trent’s now maybe second guessing himself a bit and isn’t playing the pass when it’s actually on. It’ll take time for him to fully know when to play the Hollywood pass and when not to.
It's only problem that we didn't cash in on him letting him go for free... If he loved club so much he could have signed deal with release close of 60 70 mil so if galacricos really want him they should pay, he but no he wants that money in his own pocket
Only half way through so you may address it but even if you say ok Trent you’re not worth 400k a week (not unreasonable) you’ve still got to find the money to buy a new right back so £30m + plus £150k a week minimum. So you’re 3 years until you break even and plus you’ve lost out a huge sale price for Trent if everyone decides to move on in say 2 years time
I disagree with Josh saying Trent won't leave for money. If he really wanted to leave and money wasn't an issue, he'll sign a new contract and go for a fee, lowering his wages at Madrid. but leaving Liverpool on a happy note. It's 100% about the money, and more importantly, probably the ego of being one of the highest paid FB in the world. At this point, couldn't really care less if he really decides to leave for free. Hate the diva mentality and drama, Mbappe all over again. He'll be a snake going to a club of snakes in my eyes.
That sounds delousonal, he is running his contract down and at the end when he can go for free he just signs for the club. He would have signed for the club already maybe with a buy out clause if wanted to move and make the club money.
Fine taking a risk on letting trent go and u think uve got a good replacement in bradley on the basis u dont want to pay trent 350k a week, but he shudnt have been allowed to walk out for free, were losing an 80mill plus asset for nothing, thats the kicker. Just remember what trent said a few years ago when winning stuff for liverpool, it means more. He gets max 250k a week for me take it or leave it.
If he stays he has to play on midfield where he has more influences on the team but not as a full back where he has moved on I'd like him to stay if he moves on I hope uts Barcelona rather than the cheating R Madrid team
I hope he doesn't sign a new contract & goes to Real Madrid. His performances have been average this season and if he is stalling then he is wanting that Madrid move like how Coutinho wanted barca. He is not pledging loyalty by rejecting offers , plural, as im sure they really put down a top increase. He will fail like hazard and Co as he has defensive frailties. And he will be a bench player. Only the truely gifted like Suarez and Ronaldo succeeded. Madrid have options in his position. He would just throw his career away by moving and he will not be liked by either sets of fans. Sorry bang on average performances and a few defensive blunders means you will be benched at Madrid. ANOTHER MBAPPE CASE AS MADRID HAVE PLAYERS IN HIS POSITION.
@ I was thinking more in terms of demeanor and body language. Then again it’s hard to tell because he has always had a nonchalant swagger on the pitch.
Seems mentally in Madrid? Did he tell you that? Hardly put in any bad performance this season and has also carried on playing with an injury. Idk what people want him to do on the pitch to be more convinced, even though it's just been his nature to be quiet. Braveheart style chest thumping?
@@satadishasahabhowmick3900 What games have you watched he has been bang on average. Konate has been saving his blunders here and there. And not much pass outlet. Sorry his head is in Madrid, no player is bigger than Liverpool he must go. And then realize that the grass is not greener as he has defensive flaws to his game and they have other options in that position. So he will be a bench player. Don't get me wrong he is a beautiful passer of the ball but with that comes defensive flaws and Madrid won't tolerate that.
@@LlewellynReeve yeah everything about your rant is telling me you are making projections of your feelings regarding the contract situation ( which I agree is bad and he and the club should sort it out asap) to his actual performances which have been really solid. He and Tsimikas have both been very good in all defensive stats, not to mention Trent so far is the 5th highest rated defender in the league. Most of his performances this season have reflected that and him having less offensive focus has in fact avoided the situation of Konate 'saving him' this season, and also kept Konate from getting injured/exhausted (touch wood). The defense works in a collective and it's been as good as it's been this season because of him and the other four players in the back 5. Again, you can separate his contract situation from the player he has been and is for us. Being in denial doesn't help anyone. He isn't suddenly less useful for us just because he may or may not extend.
If Trent's on 180k at the moment and they're looking to pay him 350k, that's a difference of 170k. Across 52 weeks, that's just under 9 million/year. Over 3 years, that's 26.5 million extra you need to pay him. If he leaves on a free and you get no money coming in for him, where are you going to find a comparable player for under 30million? Not to mention the wages and add-ons you need to pay. The solution is simple - pay the man his money! 😊
I want him to leave. He is brilliant going fwd, but liability defensively. Ibu konate is covering up for him this season. Otherwise, he gets dribbled past every game!
His dad is a money man and he has taught Trent brinkmanship and this is what he is doing. He wants the Captains armband. He has always wanted to be captain like Stevie G and if they can offer him that for the future he would go nowhere.
Yes losing the best RB in the world “wouldn’t be a huge blow”. Some of our fans lack brain cells
@@Usedtobebilliehe just didn’t say that tho did he 😂😂😂
The reality is that playing in a more conservative way with orthodox fullbacks is suiting us better. If you’re building the team around him, giving him a free role to maraud forward and paying him effectively to score and create-then pay him the money to do that. If you’re not, then don’t 🤷♂️
His passes have led to 3/4 goals this season and that’s just off the top of my head, probably more
@@christophermancini7334 I can actually say that about VVD too.
RM will pay Trent a signing on fee and that will be millions because he’s saving them a transfer fee.
I'm aligned with those figures as both fair and realistic ones.
Mmm. Not sure VVD would take a reduction in his Salary
250 for a right back is too much, how much will Diaz want
Er no. VVD is literally the most important player of those three.
I don't know about German media but if he goes to Madrid and it doesn't turn out well, Spanish media will viciously turn on Trent
Salah and VVD MUST BE PRIORITY
My question is, if Trent is going to be a standard RB in the Slot Style and tactics, is Bradley not a better option?
Trent will drift into obscurity at Real. Conor will be right back for entire career winning everything.
that's the thing Trent has already won everything with us so I don't think he will be bothered by that.
23:54 "Possibly" ?! 6 times better than Bradley? The definition of blinkered! Bradley makes us a better team already.
It's disappointing that there's 3 top players at this stage of their contracts. We need to get at least one signed up before January.
He hasn’t posted 13 or anywhere near it for a few years now
I love Trent but I know deep down that if he decides to go,he will regret it later.See what happened to all LPFC players who moved 2 Spanish clubs.
How did you arrive at that number? What he's on is already more than what he brings to the team.
Last season, Bradley was better than Trent at RB. I was wowed in so many games with him there, so I don’t get that Trent is 3 or 4 times better than Bradley talk.
Simply untrue what are you on about? Bradley was fairly good but absolutely nowhere near as good as trent
@ I watched all games except two, last season. Bradley was better! I love Trent, but the hype on him is crazy!
@ didn’t Bradley win Liverpool player of the month once?
@@unitymuzik7110 that isn't true is it man lol
@@ItsJustDozzy what isn’t true?
It’s not a conscious effort to make Trent ordinary. His passing has just been shite, to be honest. His passing has really been infuriating.
I feel the same way. Too many DIRECTLY to the opposition the past few games.
His switches have been absolutely terrible
Love Trent to stay but understands if he leaves the Premiership. Trent is a LFC hero .YNWA
He’d be mad to go. He’s loved at Lfc and the club is top of both leagues. Real is a hollow place where they don’t care about anything except money and turn on you in the blink of an eye.
It's clear that you don't know anything about Real.
How do Connor Bradley's tackles compare to Trent's?
We can save the big wage for a top level CF or #10
What a deep dive 🔥
From the outside looking in it feels he wants to be a superstar that transcends the game itself, the way Jude is and there's no better place to do than at madrid. The person I feel the worst for is Valverde, he'll have to do the defensive work for half the team.
Yeah Jude …. Dating a Kardashian & O goals this season for Madrid….transcends give ur head a wobble
I want Trent to stay, what precedent would that set that we cant keep/attract the best players to stay/come and play for liverpool.
Yes. They also know if they press him aggressively, he will make a hurried pass to anyone and anywhere, sometimes giving up a dangerous chance.
He's been at Liverpool his entire life. So I expect him to leave for the change not for the money.
How many times are you going to make this video lads?
I think he’ll leave. I will hold a grudge. This kid has been waxing lyrical for years about being the next Gerrard, he is vice captain at the club ffs. If he wants to further his modelling carreer at Madrid, be my guest.
But, once they’re tired of him in a season or two, or when the next star kids renders him obsolete, and he wants to come back to the prem, just know the door at the club will be closed.
Anyone, Trent included that does want to play for us can leave, and as quickly as possible
£20 million in January for him is a better deal than a player saving himself for another club
Any chance Liverpool do a swap with Madrid for tchumeni?
why would they when thye get him for free?
Maybe a January deal
Trent runs contract In June 2025. Tchouameni don't.
YNWA
If Calvin Ramsay can stay fit, he may be able to thrive in Slot's system
if the grapvine is true (both getting offered 325) do you think it means 1 of them has a top earner clause in their contract? mo and trent being the them.

I don’t care what the rat does in the end but for FSG to let a 100m pound asset leave for free is a disgrace. Huge financial loss for the club
It's not Money guys! Liverpool are trying to turn the fans on him by leaking stuff about Money
if he goes then it would be a bigger stain on his reputation than it was for Macca and MO(pre MO joining Utd).
No i dont think he will now and the club penny pinching will mean we lose salah as well
Youse are talking bullocks. Trent is still hugely influential even though he's not making assists. Bradley ain't anywhere near him.
We have Conor, no problem
nope hes gone already heads been turned. he wont do a steve g
Generational is a bit much no Conor is gonna be as good imo.
their 2 completly different players u cant compare
It's only problem that we didn't cash in on him letting him go for free... If he loved club so much he could have signed deal with release close of 60 70 mil so if galacricos really want him they should pay, he but no he wants that money in his own pocket
Only half way through so you may address it but even if you say ok Trent you’re not worth 400k a week (not unreasonable) you’ve still got to find the money to buy a new right back so £30m + plus £150k a week minimum. So you’re 3 years until you break even and plus you’ve lost out a huge sale price for Trent if everyone decides to move on in say 2 years time
I’m glad Hughes isn’t a fan
Your Frenkie De Jong figures are skewed by the fact he deferred wages so they're paying his wage plus what they owe him for a few years ago.
Ah ok. That makes sense!!!
I'm glad he's getting paid. Fantastic footballer!
His wish to win the B de O,as a Defender ,do you think this aim is in progress. Y N W A.
Answer: No he won't
Fine taking a risk on letting trent go and u think uve got a good replacement in bradley on the basis u dont want to pay trent 350k a week, but he shudnt have been allowed to walk out for free, were losing an 80mill plus asset for nothing, thats the kicker. Just remember what trent said a few years ago when winning stuff for liverpool, it means more. He gets max 250k a week for me take it or leave it.
3:27 ....and brokelona still owe FDJ unpaid wages😂😂😂😂😂😂😂...
Look at Madrid, youd have to be a fool to go there right now.
If he stays he has to play on midfield where he has more influences on the team but not as a full back where he has moved on I'd like him to stay if he moves on I hope uts Barcelona rather than the cheating R Madrid team
Keep ignoring the reality and keep believing in the myth! :D

100% leaving or he would have sorted it by now
350 no chance tbh the shirt is more than the name on the back go to real &be an average player ynwa
Imagine he plays for RM in the final vs us! What a gift!
Hes gone, we all know it deep down.
Trent has looked off the past weeks imo. Seems to me like he’s mentally in Madrid.
Carrying an injury
He isn't suddenly less useful for us just because he may or may not extend.
trent worth 250k a week max
Raheem Alexander Arnold
He’s gone😕
No.
He's gone
