Even on the first replay, you can see the ball change direction right before it hits. Exact same timing.
There was a flag pole in fair territory in Minute Maid Park at one time. Richie Sexson with the Brewers hit a 450’ single (or maybe it was a double) because he struck the flag pole. It left a mark that was visible for years until they repainted and eventually moved the pole. I think it was in 2005 and I have NEVER been able to find video of it.
I have an exam tomorrow, not sure why I’m doing this at 1:30 in the morning but at 4:26 if I’m right the ball (while ignoring air resistance) hit him with approximately 17N if my math for the acceleration is correct (117.2 m/s^2) and the average baseball is about 0.145 kg.
The scariest things in baseball the ball hitting you in the face/head as a batter and pitcher. I’ve had close calls with both and it is the scariest thing
