I remember going to the city with a mate and dad to pick up his new Fairmont that was like that shape about 1992. It came with a audio cassette to listen to about the workings of the car. Ford did a great job with that design. The car was comfortable. His old company car he bought off caltex for $11'000 at the time and gave it to mum. That car was a blue 1982 XE Fairmont he had since new. I could of got the year mixed up. It may well be 1990 he picked up the new Fairmont actually. Im passing through looking for a link to change rear shock on a 2007 awd ford territory. Rear shock. Have a good day
Wow. Great video. I honestly had no idea how easy it was to do your shocks. I just bought an ED Falcon the other day and it needs a lot of work and restoring. Never done any proper work on cars so this kind of stuff is a huge help. I'll definitely be doing the shocks myself. I don't suppose you have a video on doing your brakes (discs/pads/bleed) hahah. Definitely subbing.
I guess you've edited out the day and a half of rounding bolts and screaming at the damn thing? LOL - the bolts and nuts seem to be in better nick than my stupid BF. I feel like I'd round the door handle trying to open the bastard at this point. Great vid, educational and entertaining - every time I go to any auto store I buy at least 2 cans of degreaser and penetrating spray (please help my apartment is full of spray cans and i dont know what to do)
Haha , how did you know ! Nar surprisingly went pretty smooth , I did edit a lot of the parts coz half of it is boring , cut down about an hour of video into 12 mins
@georgeauto An hour ain't bad - took me a day and a half to do the front assembly...to be fair I had the widowmakers out and had to assembly the xr6 shocks and springs I bought but eh, still got 10 fingers and both eyes lol
Protect this man at all costs
Thankyou bro what you do mean
Love this car, would love to see more on it👍🏼

Excellent video. Even an amateur like me can follow it. Any chance of a demo on how to change the FRONT ones? 😀
Yeah they probably need going soon! I’ll try make something up
@@georgeauto Many thanks. Looking forward to it.👍
Just did them in my car, they're pretty simple, if you have a workshop manual for your car, it makes it a lot easier
Good video! It’s been a long time but from what I remember my EF was exactly the same, which would make sense too. Keep the vids coming
Thanks mate , yeah being a similar chassis I’m guessing they are similar ,
