Yay i caught U early. Great. I’m a stylist since 05. Use black castor oil and a mask of jojoba and avocado. And to make your hair not bleed you need to tone it. Put a clear glaze on it to close to cuticle so it will stop.
For my color girls out there. Overtone, Fanola, and Shrine drop it’s. Overtone has many coloring deep conditioning mask to chose from. Fanola have their own coloring mask as well. But their shampoos, conditioners, mask, leave-ins and so on are amazing. (They are protein based however)They are an Italian salon brand. Shrine has coloring drops you place into you conditioners. You chose how much pigment you want. You need to have a balance. One week moisturize based, the next week protein based. So if you are going a protein week, your styling products have to be moisture based only. So read those ingredients well. This is an old profile pic of my hair. But now my hair is lavender. Roots are turning white/pink because that’s how light my hair as lifted. It’s extremely healthy because of what I do to keep it that way. (Yes a black girl here). My colorist and I are on the same page. We do not bother with my roots until we reach 3 months post last retouch. I was my hair two times a week, because that is how my hair is and what it likes. My scalp likes to be clean and I have an oily scalp despite the bleaching. Clarifying is important. You may not want to because you have color. But it’s still needed and will brighten you strands. There are tons of conditioning color mask out on the market. Don’t be scared to wash you hair because of fading. It’s a quick fix when all you have to do is plop on some coloring mask or conditioner. Living a colorful life isn’t cheap. So if you know you can’t keep up with the upkeep, and if you are too lazy to take the time needed to keep your now color-treated curls in good health. Then just buy some wax or wigs to help with the itch of wanting to color. You can have long healthy color-treated curls.
Thank you so much for sharing, I love how detailed you were, as well as made some excellent points. I’ve taken my notes haha thanks again for sharing these tips ♥️♥️
You must put protein back because of the processing and then add moisture back into the hair immediately after...everything after that needs to be moisture. With color I learned I have to protective style like mini twists, etc so that the moisture gets in and sets and also colored does not like to be overmanipulated....
Thanks ♥️ my pre-dyed hair loved protein masks, but my dyed hair just prefers moisture masks. Everyone’s hair reacts differently, styles like wash and goes for me personally as well as twist outs have been a life saver🌞
@@ZFitz yes that is so true! We will keep at it until we get that moisture balance that we need....color shouldn't be this hard ya know...it's gotta be an easier way...lol! I love the color on you as well as myself...that melanin makes it pop!!

that being said, do you regret dying your hair? are there any positives at all to dying it? I really want to dye it too but after this video I'm hesitant :(
I wouldn’t say that I regret dying it, it was fun while I had it. I also had never previously dyed my hair so it was a cool change. I wouldn’t change anything except being more careful with my aftercare in terms of making sure my hair is properly moisturized and such after dying it if that makes sense ♥️
@@ZFitz I use henna as a strengthening treatment. I’ve tried to use it to color my hair but it never shows up like THIS..which is what I want! it’s so pretty! You look BEAUTIFUL thank you for sharing 🥰 I’ll check back in with an update! 💕 Love your videos & your vibe!

What do you use to tone it ?
@@miyahgoesrawr3748 Hey I personally don't tone my hair since I don't want to affect the current color that I have ♥️
