When half the group is that low, you can't afford many mistakes. Low HP, low mana, high pull range. With a group entirely 57+ or 58+ you have more room for mistakes, and the experience more beginner-friendly. And that is not to say that these guys are bad by any means, but so much of this stuff is about the knowledge. The fact that you can easily add the group on top, the fact that the flamethrower room is still active and dangerous, the fact that the gauntlet room has fully respawned, if the one making calls had known all this they would have stood and fought, and may have survived.
@@asclepeus-games they had someone that should have had the experience, right? surely they would have wiped in the room with the braziers and patrols if they went in blind. Well, they should have called it, theres a reason alot of mid-50s groups end the run at most at Flamelash or Seven.
If only a mage had multiple ways to get unstuck instead of using a system that is known to teleport to BG instances (which happened here - wasn't even a graveyard). Atleast she saved that 20 silver.
Annies first instinct was correct. Like most things in classic if you're trying to back off you're in trouble but if you lean in and start looking at what cds and consumes you have available you're probably fine. If they burned down the pack they were on then they just had a double pull with their healer on like 80% mana. Focus ambassadors then senators and they would be fine. The alcove they are in blocks los so if the healer moved in there everything would have stacked up for cleave and aoe and easy aggro grabbing. Two onlyfangs group wipes in two days that would have been fine if they just said ok lets do this rather than trying to duck it.
Aside from knowledge checks like go here, go there, it's good to have several gtfo plans that you can use one after another quickly. Run or fight, leave group, the third layer target dummies or petri. A good retreat is as much part of battle as a good attack. (Also, I heard a voice at about 10:00 "I butt pulled".)

I really don't understand how Grimmzhc could flag from clicking an attack command to a friendly NPC. I don't think it's supposed to work like that, but maybe it's something I've never seen? He may not have been the one pulling but the other warrior to the far right of the fight, but he is certainly responsible for charging in and not pulling them back. Isn't that the best part of the this whole Hardcore thing? New'ish people (for Classic) not knowing things so things like that might happen and unlucky situations happens. To be fair they might have wiped themselves by running through that fire and realizing after that they have to fight after all.

The Grimmz death shouldn't have happened if blizzard designed things 1% better npcs with GREEN NAMES shouldn't allow that to happen from clicking pet abilities
That's kind of not the point. Gagdetzan is a neutral faction and you can change your rep against them anyway you like. Allowing you to attack them is consistent with the treatment for any neutral faction. Just because you become friendly doesn't mean you don't want to change your mind. HC was never designed to be part of this version of the game, because deaths were meant to be the way to teach you how to play the game. When you sign up to play HC in this game you already signed up for all the janks that go along with it, including this.
Warrior tank going for challenging shout retal instead of shield wall rip. Really really bad warriors in this group....they need to learn how to tank and manage aggro. In the previous video they were so worried about the fire elementals when they are just not that dangerous if you handle them properly. Also know your escape paths. You can run through the area with all the non elite mobs on the ledge.
I don't get majority of these deaths coming from a group of players that will be raiding on hardcore. How can you absolutely be not prepared for a circumstance like this?
will never understand whats the freakin problem to pull mobs a bit back, where everything is cleared so theres would be 0 chance to pull some random mobs.....
Thats not even a problem in classic. With pre raid gear and while not tanking you are pressing like 1 button every 2-3 seconds due to rage limitations. You could play classic warrior at a top level with a dance pads, a guitar or one of these bongo drum controller
@@aqdjbcr "perfect times" thats a good joke for classic. the only point where you need taunts that are kinda on point is 4 horseman and even there it doesnt wipe your raid if you taunt like 3-4 seconds too late. classic is made to click all spells with your mouse and timings are loose enough to coordiate everything in the text chat so a controller is a completly fine input method for classic wow
@@Max-9871 Na, good taunts in groups at this point are crucial because threat is very sketchy. Taunting late could result in having to run over to aggro with actual hit, and sometimes not even being able to do that, and/or losing threat on the closer targets. But Annie is playing a dps role here and with controller it's completely fine. There's no way you can play a tank with a controller, it's so incredibly insufficient.
I'm sure someone in the group knew that the entire gauntlet room had respawned, they needed to step up and make the call to stay and fight. Wherever they ran to would be their death, be it the flamethrower room or the fully respawned gauntlet room. A group of newbies should probably reclear the entire room after the fires are lit and respawns are disabled, just so they have an escape path. They clearly failed on multiple points of game knowledge. First of all you don't fight that group there unless you are prepared to pull the group above, then you know not to run back into the fire room. The pull was quite survivable had they not given up their position.
Guzu had the exact same thoughts as I had in the same timeframe. 100% agree. LoS + AoE they woulda been fine. If scared the can reset on ledge. They woulda been so fine with an experienced classic andy. Challenging shout into Shield Wall with Mage AoE easy. Rogue can tank 1 elite, that leaves like only 2 elites.
I woulda stayed and just set up the pull there, aoe as mobs come back into the corner and not run and take damage from fire and blow mana from healing it
first group was sad an los with two aoe taunts mage had half mana and evocate that was an easy aoe if the group gathered them and held them for 10 seconds but as gozu said hindsight
They may not have the recipe yet, but it is also frowned upon. Last time around they had them in abundance and basically nobody died in dungeons as a result, defeating the point of hardcore in many viewer's eyes by taking out the risk factor.
I wish they had listened to Annie! She told them to watch their AOE because of the close proximity of the mobs upstairs. To be fair, she noticed them, said it to the group, the Tauren AOE'd and aggro'd the very mobs she was warning them about. All in very quick succession. She looks terrified throughout MOST of her clip - starting at 3:45. (I kind of wish she had a heart monitor on, tbh).

Isn't that the best part of the this whole Hardcore thing? New'ish people (for Classic) not knowing things so things like that might happen and unlucky situations happens. To be fair they might have wiped themselves by running through that fire and realizing after that they have to fight after all.
the unstuck feature should always be the last resort. they had a mage in the group. put a portal, click the portal. UC is nearby. why the risk. use HS. wait till hs expires. anything should be done first before using unstuck.
The Grimmz death shouldn't have happened if blizzard designed things 1% better
npcs with GREEN NAMES shouldn't allow that to happen from clicking pet abilities
should've designed his shitty ui better
That's kind of not the point. Gagdetzan is a neutral faction and you can change your rep against them anyway you like. Allowing you to attack them is consistent with the treatment for any neutral faction. Just because you become friendly doesn't mean you don't want to change your mind. HC was never designed to be part of this version of the game, because deaths were meant to be the way to teach you how to play the game. When you sign up to play HC in this game you already signed up for all the janks that go along with it, including this.
Everyone knows you LOS pull in the throne room.
Warrior tank going for challenging shout retal instead of shield wall rip. Really really bad warriors in this group....they need to learn how to tank and manage aggro. In the previous video they were so worried about the fire elementals when they are just not that dangerous if you handle them properly. Also know your escape paths. You can run through the area with all the non elite mobs on the ledge.
santa IS real!
I don't get majority of these deaths coming from a group of players that will be raiding on hardcore. How can you absolutely be not prepared for a circumstance like this?
If I ever make it to BRD I will have a mage place a portal in this room...
where are the petris???
GUZU. You keep bringing me back.
Every time savix dies or is close he's joking around with party members.😂 Wow pika using faps, dust and full buffs. Who would thought he would of won.
Omg Dendi from dota, that goblin still alive? :D
will never understand whats the freakin problem to pull mobs a bit back, where everything is cleared so theres would be 0 chance to pull some random mobs.....
Dude goes BRD with a warrior that uses a controller, absolute madman.
Why do people think this is a problem, when the warrior that got them all killed was using kbm.
Thats not even a problem in classic. With pre raid gear and while not tanking you are pressing like 1 button every 2-3 seconds due to rage limitations. You could play classic warrior at a top level with a dance pads, a guitar or one of these bongo drum controller
@@Max-9871not optimally. Gotta tab target and taunt at perfect times.
Should of made a pre portal just in case because that room is just as bad as the one before.
Mage didn’t use teleport instead made a ticket
And so this is Christmas ...
This group is too good to be kept down for long at all. They suck it up and do it all together they will be back quick
Why did they tell her to unstuck instead of porting to UC and taking a 2 minute flight path back she’s legit a mage
lets fight a big pull, inside a fire room where we also take aoe damage, smart!
Well that's what you have to expect when there's a grill involved. Expect things to go bad. Even those like Annie who has played WoW long.
that was a body pull , your tauren bigger hitbox theory is probbaly it indeed
Guzu had the exact same thoughts as I had in the same timeframe. 100% agree. LoS + AoE they woulda been fine. If scared the can reset on ledge.
They woulda been so fine with an experienced classic andy. Challenging shout into Shield Wall with Mage AoE easy. Rogue can tank 1 elite, that leaves like only 2 elites.
I guess the tank pulls it with going one step back - Bodypull! Ugly
Half of the deaths i see can be prevented with a cornerpull :)
i thought it was a rule of only 1 pot per person in a mok gora
I woulda stayed and just set up the pull there, aoe as mobs come back into the corner and not run and take damage from fire and blow mana from healing it
Whoa i didnt know Dendi is playing classic. He is btw probably is the most well known Dota player of all time.
I always say, don't get too cocky in wow hardcore the game will humble you really quickly
feel bad for Annie, def can tell she's fighting back the tears
That's how everyone is going to die in HC
first group was sad an los with two aoe taunts mage had half mana and evocate that was an easy aoe if the group gathered them and held them for 10 seconds but as gozu said hindsight
doesn't onlyfangs have petris? why not use it? is it frowned upon?
They don’t
They may not have the recipe yet, but it is also frowned upon. Last time around they had them in abundance and basically nobody died in dungeons as a result, defeating the point of hardcore in many viewer's eyes by taking out the risk factor.
funny how none of them went to the ledge for a reset spot. get boosted, get zooted kids
