Thank you so much for this! I was... on the fence about growing this because I kept hearing so many mixed reviews but the fact that our ancestors here in the Americas used this had me wanting to at least give it a go. The more I learned about it the more I wanted to grow it... and now with this last bit of info has it set in stone for me. This is getting growing on our property starting this week. Thank you.
Please share a recipe with the leaf of this vine. I tried searching online and found nothing except "covered in flour and fried". What's the flour mixture to cover it with? Does it matter if the leaf is old or new? I would really appreciate a recipe. Thanks
Thanks for the interesting information. I would like to know the difference between the flower that is white vs pink. Are pink more mature or other way round. Do bees and butterflies prefer the pink/white flower.
Different cultivars (mutations of the same plant, like Fuji versus Honeycrisp apples). Presumably the the white one has its pigment production dialed down and possibly zero. I believe in buckwheats, unlike most Caryophyles, the pigments are anthocyanins rather than betalains. Theoretically both classes are antioxidants but anthocyanins often aren't great at surviving either cooking or digestion, so I am not sure this is a real consideration. Grow what you think is pretty. Pollinator attraction probably depends on the specific pollinator species and thus would be site specific (though honeybees have become nearly cosmopolitan). Both types produce lots of nectar and will be visited by something, probably many types of pollinators.
Whenever they are fully ripe? It blooms over a long season in the sub/tropics (though mostly in autumn where frost kills it and forces it to be an annual), and therefore should set seed over a prolonged season as well. That is probably one reason this plant is a successful invasive in many warm climates.
Your title says antigonon Leptopus Pronounciation & How to Grow Mexican Creeper EDIBLE. You did not say how it can be grown or have I missed something?
Thank you for your SUBSCRIPTION and for SHARING , follow the details in the DESCRIPTION below the video 🙏 🌱
We got this plant in Malaysia as well. It is called "Bunga air mata pengantin" in Malay (The flower of the bride's tears)
Is it also invasive there? Here in the Philippines it's called "cadena de amor" which it share with other plants like Clerodendrum thomsoniea
Thank you for gathering all this information on plants so meticulously and presenting them in a book, for everybody to learn and benefit
Thank you for your kind words. I appreciate

I never saw the white one in person but I do smell in pink ones a sweet notes.

Which month we should collect the seeds of this flower ?

This is basically weed in my country. Didn't knew it was edible.
I saw white coloured plant of this. On road side.
Yes, comes in a variety of white, pink, and various shades within.

Yes, perhaps you have missed. The video clearly list the different ways it can be grown - from cuttings and from seeds. Very prolific
wasted my time did not talk about propagation.
