Jason's PWL career was coming to an end, this was catchy enough but from as early as his first release in 1990 his songs didn't fare so well. In a recent interview I heard him say that S.A.W never quite got it right for him as they did for Kylie. Strange that, they gave him 2 solo No 1 and a No 1 duet with dear Kylie. Continued popularity is never guaranteed and from hitting the top spot so early in your career there's only one way to go.
His voice is very heavily layered on all his songs proving that if it was stripped back to just his voice, he isn't really much of a singer. I think he was very lucky to have the success that he did. Under SAW any male singer with a bad to mediocre voice could have done this. He was a product obviously told how to look, dress, move etc, that is blatantly obvious, no authenticity. I did like all his songs but then again that was the SAW factor, I liked all of their stuff. This was my favourite of his.

He was pretty good in Joseph though. He was never going to have a sustained top 10 career as long as Kylie did under the PWL umbrella. I agree , I like this track I also liked his cover of Happy Together because some choices of covers either by him or PWL were not inspired at all!
No they shouldn't! I'm a massive fan of PWL. But it would NEVER be the same again. That sort of music is not sung anymore and all that retro stuff is long gone! If they do an album with all those singers it should just be a rerelease of all these hits
What is the problem to release all of the videos by Jason Donovan?! If any label decides to do it, please do it in full-screen (PAL:720×576 pixels) format and not wide-screen (NTSC: 720×480 pixels). The reason is obvious. These clips were originally shot as 4×3 aspect ratio and not as 16×9. Therefore, the only way to not deteriorate the quality is to keep PAL and not crop these videos into 16×9 frame. To my disappointment there were many examples of negligence and instead of full original quality (720×576 pixels) some companies applied NTSC (they should not do that!) and the result brings only frustration. Effectively, we have been offered the blatant 600×480 pixels instead of 720×576. I suspect that the reason of such manner is that American DVD players cannot reproduce PAL videos whereas European ones can cope with both of the formats. So if American insist to have their NTSC disc please be welcomed (do it but on their account), but do not forbid European customers to have the full PAL quality!
