  • Bassist Putter Smith shares anecdotes about his decades-long career as a jazz musician, which encompassed the musical spectrum between Thelonious Monk and Phil Spector.

    Putter has long been one of SoCal’s greatest jazz bassists. People should seek out Putter’s magnificent recorded work on Alan Broadbent’s earlier trio records, his duo CD with Gary Foster, and a trio recording with John Gross.
