If they can operate it without harming or minimizing the harmful effect to the environment why not... They should present the calculation of how much nuclear waste it can produced in a desired energy to cover a city or the objective is to lower the price of the electiricity. They need to estimated this, because nuclear waste required special container like it's made up of lead and stored it in a secured area, so if they have this estimation, then they will know the answer if it is worth it or not, not to mention how much would it cost to revive this, how many years before they can recover the budget they spend to revive it ,.....if they can defend this question then nuclear plant is possible to be revive or operated.. Gusto ko din ng murang kuryente, pero kasi ayaw ko tumingin sa one sided lang gusto ko both. Sana masagot nila ito and i want a positive resolution.😢

Sapagkat, I told her, this is the solution in meeting the country's energy demands and decreasing dependence on imported oil. The Chernobyl nuclear disaster and the Fukishima nuclear disaster only happened because of poorly designed reactors and personnel who lacked of knowledge about operating a nuclear reactor and violated many strict rules that caused the reactor meltdown. Those accidents occurred during the 1980s, but we are in 2022. We can prevent that with the help of modern technology.
See France 70% of their energy consumption comes from nuclear energy, 20% from renewable energy and 10% from fossil fuels.
Most of the deaths caused by these nuclear disasters are because of indirect accidents like the stress from evacuation, which occurs almost entirely in older populations, not the nuclear radiation itself, which only causes the death of 40+ or 2 people according to several sources.
Fossil fuel disasters cause more deaths than Chernobyl nuclear disaster. Also, unlike nuclear waste, we can store it somewhere like what Finland does, but CO2 from fossil fuels goes into the atmosphere, causing global warming. If we did not stop producing a lot of CO2 until 2030, the earth's temperature would rise to the point where we can almost do nothing about it.
The Pinoy people oppose the Bataan nuclear power plant project, because if it explodes, there might be a nuclear reaction that could affect their health.
