I actually never knew Alton towers was THAT big.

It's a huge area but a lot of it has no rides in. A big part of the area are the gardens.

No wonder I ended up in the gardens wiles trying to find nemesis (it was my second time at Alton towers so I had no idea we’re I was going.)
Apparently a section of floor in the Smiler shop was originally going to feature viewing glass above the first inversion, heard this one a few times

It actually does, but you can't see the track as it is too dark.

ive always admired alton towers at what it wanted to accomplish like oblivion,smiler,rita ect truly the most loved park and the best one in the uk

I would say it is. It has about 14 loops and it kept failing the tests. Now it's working perfectly.

In a nutshell, yeah
It's like a blessing in disguise because it means they have to get creative with the coasters. IMO, Nemesis is one of the greatest coasters in the world, partly because of how it flows with the landscape they created for it. So much more interesting than a coaster just plonked on an area of flat land.

It’s weird whenever I go on oblivion I forget what happens after the drop so in my mind I remember looking down and then I forget everything until we are waiting to go back to the place where you get on
See idk what it is but if something “traumatic” happens to me I forget everything a bit before and after
That’s why it called Oblivion because you forget and get traumatised after the drop

I visited the chained oak tree and found a little 4 year old (or younger) wandering around so we had to go ask the chained oak b&b if they knew someone. turns out that he was a lost Spanish boy. he'd walked all the way from the Ramblers Retreat to the tree. Haven't visited since.

I found the nemesis and oblivion themed beers when I popped into the splash landings hotel for something to eat before leaving
I did'nt do the Thunderloop but i go every time to a park in Belgium, Walibi Belgium. They have a shuttle loop over there but inside because the neighbours were mad about all that noice... and now Walibi is going to build a Intamin Megacoaster... they will be mad 😂

storytimeee hex is my favorite ride ive beem to alton towers evry year staying at the chained oak b&b and trying to find the tree was my dreamm never really knew it was under our noses the wholee time only took 3 years to actully find out and see it but definalty worth it

Actually the first complete circuit rollercoaster with a vertical drop isn't Tower of Terror at Gold Reef City (opened Dec 2001). It was actually Hypersonic XLC at Kings Dominion (opened March 2001). The first coaster to go vertical was Tower of Terror II (originally named: Tower of Terror) at Dreamworld (opened Jan 1997) [This is a shuttle coaster].
Also the Smiler Accident happened in 2015 not 2014 as said in the video.
