I'm 89 years old. Woke up at 5am one morning feeling a little Shakey for a bathroom break and the first thing I thought was, this is the winter of my life. Hence that's the title of this song
Magnificent song, John. Thanks for sharing. In the winter of my life, I've come across you and your inspiring lyrics and thank God for you. Keep up the good work, John, and may God bless you. Listening to you from Malta.❤
I love ya, John. I hope when you put your head down on the pillow, before slumber, you spend that time thinking, knowing you are an inspiration as a musician and as a person. I love your singing, but more so, as a 71 year old, I'm so thrilled to see an 89 year old who embraces music as you do, that music will be with me, hopefully, and now I get the chance to hear you...... Hey hey, from Plainview NY, on the Suffolk/Nassau county borders.....
Thanks Barry, your enthusiasm for an old troubadours music helps keep my boat afloat. Also, welcome to "The Old Troubadour" channel. A world of ""Words" and music I wrote in my 70s i recently re-recorded as a video. "Words" th-cam.com/video/t2pDIzgvqh4/w-d-xo.html
Very nice my friend. I’m so glad you’re sharing music and insights. It reminds me some things, like our love for music doesn’t change. Take good care… 😎
There are those out there calling themselves troubadour , you sir are a real troubadour . You are setting the mark and I thank you for putting this on You tube .
Hi John, im 72, around the time of covid , in isolation, I decided to learn to finger pick. Today I hardly ever pick up my old electrics.. it all acoustic now . I love your song. so nice to see appreciation for old traditions. Nothin nicer than sittin back, enjoying a soulful song on a guitar.
Mike, I love your comment. Here is a song I wrote back in my late 70s that has some good finger pickin' and words I think you'll enjoy. th-cam.com/video/-jakdWvMVYI/w-d-xo.html

Thank you, John! You should have thousands of subscribers. I was thinking seriously of giving up singing and guitar until I had the good fortune to run across this song. I hope you don't mind if I sing and play it, too.
Thanks David. You could play and even sing this. Key of G and two modulations to C. Scroll down 4 comments to Helen Fenig who says she's ""singing along" JRW
@@johnwinntheoldtroubadour Ok John I see now your giving guitar lessons. Where do I sign up? Most of my joints are a little stiff but the spirit is willing.

Ok. I love your videos John. After watching two I have decided to subscribe. I predict you will be a YT success if you keep posting new videos. By the way I’m 65 and recently started taking guitar lessons. I don’t have natural ability so it is frustrating.
Thank you Roger. I'm known as "The old Troubadour".I writes songs and my partner, Jon James and I produce them in "The Shedd Studios." We usually release a new video every month. Keep up your lessons, The early part is tough but the rewards will come with practice. As an old guy I play a nylon string acoustical.. It's easier on old fingers
