Hands down. This man sang acapella almost two meters far from the microphone and his voice flooded all the stadium. Not many singers have this ability.

National juries know that Slimane did a big mistake about Israel the day before the finale show. In France, he lost a lot of support due to his bad behaviour.

@@me59125 France choose to send mainly French variety, simply, which highlights its language the most, since it is very rare that French songs at Eurovision are not in French. And when they send slightly different artists (for example opera singers, or people who sing in a regional language) , Europe ranks them in the bottom 🤷♀️.

He does have backing vocals... but he doesnt rely on them, to cover his voice. Sadly the camera doesnt work most of the time... and theres few things that need to be change... it looks too much cliche and cheesy... After other similar performances like Portugal.... Slimane stage looks cheap and copycat. Aside from that, he does have the best male vocals in this year

It's true, and I can tell I still love Voila but this one is pure magic, I feel my inner senses coming alive!!!💜 Slimane has connected with everybody amazingly, he does have the soul and gift to touch people's hearts!

I am not dismissing this year's excellent performance, but "L' oiseau et l'enfant" (77, eurovision winner), and "Un jour, Un enfant ( 69, Eurovision winner) exist, and I don't think Slimane quite reaches that.
Second best, voila is one of my favourite eurovision songs ever, best french song for me
@@zefyrisd69 WOW! I was a little 6 year old boy back home in Lyon, France when Frida Boccara won the Eurovision as I was glued to the TV .... Slimane has a angle voice and his presence and lyrical quality is out of the World. Also, I so believe the Voila should have come first as well and last year we have been cheated being placed sooooo back.
It would have been a deserved winner. No crazy dances to attract attention, just a phenomenal voice. Sung with so much passion.
This song lives rent free in my soul since he first did that mic move in Croatia.
Even though my French is not more than " bonjour, merci", I can sing Mon Amour after listening to it for 1000+ times.
