I'm not exactly a NASCAR Ford fan, but it really does make me happy that Brad Keselowski is succeeding with RFK. I thought that when he decided to leave Penske that he would be throwing away any chance of continuing to have a competitive career, but his hard work and mentality has not helped the team, but I believe that him joining Roush has saved Buescher's career as well. It's truly one of those moments that I don't mind being proven wrong.
I don’t think it can be overstated the turnaround that RFK has had since Keselowski went over there and bought in. I figured it would take substantially more time for them to catch up, but credit to him and RFK making the turnaround in a pretty short timeframe. Glad to see he and Buescher having another team that can be competitive in the series.
Don’t forget. You mentioned dinger chasing stage points or the win next 2 weeks. There will be no caution at the end of the stages so the drivers can chase both if they choose and it works out. Obviously cautions could ruin that.

Well the next two races are rc so it's a straight up race no stage breaks so drivers lile dinger dont have to decide if they want stage points or pit before stage end.

Fast forward to charlotte and Ryan blaney got loose on a restart and came down late on truex. Truex easily could’ve ran through blaney and nobody would have batted an eye. But truex lifted and blaney went on to win the race, largely because of how he raced truex earlier at Dover.
After qualifying I said, how crazy would it be if buscher wins back to back out of no where. They actually made it happen and they had to fight for it. Mad respect

I thought the new car was going to help the following car with the dirty air disadvantage that the last generation car was rightfully criticized for. The radio guys made a big deal about Reddick and Buescher working in tandem. I had to leave for work at the end of stage two so I listened on the website. Matt Kenseth was the last driver to take the 17 to consecutive victories in 2009, I think. The Daytona 500 and the Auto Club 500. Also, Corie LaJoie with a top 15.

I thought it was a pretty good race. Dirty air is still too big a factor for my liking when a much faster car can’t pass but happy for Buescher. Other than Blaney, Penske is too inconsistent and SHR Harvick is doing all he can with what he’s being given. Also speaking of Kevin Harvick last year he had terrible luck in the first round more than just running bad you can’t deny that.

RFK IS BACK BABY!!! There's no way this season can be a disappointment.... 2 wins and both teams will make the playoffs no matter what a big step up from last season having only 1 win and neither team made the playoffs..
RFK has been much more consistent than 2022 Harvick fwiw. That should carry on throughout the year. Why stop the hype on Buescher? He has as many wins as Chastain the past two seasons so far and he got so much damn hype.
Eric, Saw you on Sundays pre race TV footage. You were clearly on the screen (about 10 sec.) walking through the infield crowd. It actually looked like the camera was following you. Star!! lol
Chris Buescher is putting it together at the right time. I don’t know if he’s a legit favorite, but he’s becoming a dark horse for to keep an eye out for.
Hey Eric, I was there yesterday and today for the conclusion, shame I couldn’t see you yesterday & that couldn’t you make it back today! Glad you liked the facility, been going since I was 5. Side note, watching Truex charge through the field in stage 2 in person was awesome.

You know be cool to see, up green arrows and red down arrows with positions gained or lost since last week in playoff standings. Awesome channel btw Eric
It's gonna be effectively the same with Dinger due to the lack of stage cautions. The only way I see him doing strategy is if we get to overtime at Indy and he elects to pit to line up further back from that log jam of a turn 1 and hopes the worse tires and chaos allow him to pounce on the few that don't wreck into the grass As to the cutline...I THINK Wallace is safe, but considering his poor track record at Road Courses and his Superspeedway average finish this year being 25.0...it might get closer than I'm thinking, especially since Glen/Indy don't throw a caution for the stages so he can't take advantage of people pitting to add a cushion like he's been doing the past few weeks very well. I think even he recognizes the pit crew is gonna screw the pooch, play it safe and get those stages points to lessen when they fumble
It was refreshing to see good, hard, clean racing without any stupid wrecks or overtime finishes. And one of the fastest cars won so that makes it better. Love long green flag runs that end up being close. Michigan was very good and would agree on your groovy gage rating, I think it could be near a 100% had the rain stayed away!
It’s disingenuous to say Harvick getting eliminated first round last year was due to him not being back. His car literally caught on fire at Darlington and his pit crew cost him at Bristol
I really want to return to the days when contact was incidental...which, btw, would only put NASCAR back in line with the rest of the racing world. Not aimed at this race, but this business where you can drive a masterful race, make clean passes, treat your competitors the way you'd like to be treated, not make any mistakes, only to be run over by some cowboy at the end is a real problem for the sport. Don't use the cliche "rubbin' is racing" to criticize my comment. I know that. There's a difference between racing so hard there's occasional contact, giving someone an occasional tap on the bumper to remind them they're slower than you are, and flat out wrecking a competitor to gain a position. Save that for the demolition derby.
This was a good race, but it sucks that rain got in the way of a decent finish for a race near Lake Michigan again. It also sucks that Kyle Busch was out early when it was looking like another strong day for him. He may be entering a difficult stretch right now, but if anyone can rise above the competition on sheer willpower alone, and win where it counts, it’s him. Roush Racing is now one of my final four favorites this year now. I think Chris Buescher is finally just beginning to enter into his prime, in my opinion, because not only has he improved at Roush since Keselowski joined the team last year, but if you can hold off a champion driver like Martin Truex, Jr. for a win, you know then that you’re going places. Harvick also putting on good performances at Michigan and Richmond was good too. Not a bad way to go out in your last season, despite not getting the win. The last thing I liked was when Erik Jones proved that he’s the best driver Richard Petty’s had on his team since Bobby Labonte in 2006, and Aric Almirola in 2014. If LMC can turn their bad performance around next year, with a little time and patience on Petty’s and Johnson’s parts to rebuild, I wouldn’t be too surprised if Jones is the one to get Petty his first multiple win season since the 80s. If he can get his sea legs underneath him with the new version of his team, Erik will bring the Petty 43 to heights most can only dream of. If only the same could be said about the Wood Brothers… Overall, great race, great finish, and I’m looking forward to Indy.
It would have been possible for the Wood Brothers if they had been more aggressive and snatched Martin Truex Jr. from JGR. I know the #21 would be a downgrade, but it is still good enough of a ride for a driver like Truex to contend for wins and possibly make a deep playoff run. This would be much needed for WBR after being held back by Harrison Burton and he would serve as an excellent place holder for 2-3 years until possibly being replaced by Carson Hocevar or Sam Mayer in 2026 or 2027 when they are likely ready. Not to mention, John Hunter Nemechek would get a good ride after jumping back down to the lower series for a few years which to me is a borderline elite talent. As for Harrison, he should do what Cole Custer did.
I’m liking Trackhouse these days. Suarez needs to stay focused and Chastain appears to be behaving himself. But still….It’s great to see a smaller team have such success. And of course, that “wall ride” last year will become the stuff of legend and featured in NASCAR documentaries for decades to come. (I’ll never forget Eric’s reaction in the opening seconds in the following video….I laughed out loud at that one.)
RFK is a completely new team. I am glad Brad Keselowski has delivered some good leadership. I would love to see Truex continue and give us another year. I stand my ground in saying that if Hamlin is put in the wall as he has Larson and say a Chastain, Hamlin cries foul and demand punishment. The only person that whines more is Wallace.
My daughter and I looked for you Sunday (& Monday) but she was a little bummed we didn’t see you. Hopefully next time if you make the trip back to Michigan!
Harvick did it last year, buescher this year, and both were fords. I can't believe it. This was an amazing razing race today. Now i wonder if buescher doesn't flop into the playoff like harvick last year
Truex is one of my favorite drivers, and definitely my only favored Toyota driver….period. You have to respect the man in ways of which Hamlin could only dream. I’m happy he has one championship under his belt…and that was with a small budget team!!! He may be the modern day Kulwicki or Bill Elliot. Likeable, honest….and a very professional driver.
Eric what is the black dot in the top of the screen? I wiped my screen twice before I realized it was not something on my phone just a random ?. Video was above all expectations as normal. Best part of my week
Boy it’s hard to justify roughing up Chris Buescher if your Truex. He races super clean too. But I doubted Truex would do it as he races everyone clean anyway.
Here's a scary thing with Bell. Even with all the mistakes and unrealized potential, he's 4th in points. Now granted, 4th to about 11th-12th aren't separated by a whole lot, but still. Also, 3 JGR guys are in the top 4 in points. Yikes
I was there the second day and the general consensus among fans at Michigan was that Truex had this. Easily. 17 was a surprise, but a welcome one. Hoping to make it back to Michigan next year and Indy as well.
Harvick is still very good. Ignoring wins, he is 5th in points at the moment and the highest scoring Ford. I wouldn't count him out just yet! Side Note: Interestingly Keselowski is 8th in points and the second highest scoring Ford.
KH4 is now mathematically locked into the playoffs. Firstly, there are three races left and there are 4 playoff berths left open for non winners. So at least one driver makes it in on points, guaranteed. Repeat winners only increase that number. KH4 has the most regular season points of non-winners. KH4 is +180 to cut line. With regular season max points per race at 40, the most regular season points he could lose would be -120, still leaving him +60! So unless he pulls a CE9 move and wrecks himself for a P36 finish over each of the next 3 races, cannot be just +60. 1½ races to the good, even if he sits for 3. Locked in
I honestly guess you missed the Earnhardt and DW era. LOL You guys talk like there was never any contact with guys in the past. They called it, "Trading Pain" for a reason dude.

Eric, i've watched every single one of your videos since like 2016, this is my go to channel for any nascar news and nascar recaps, you do a great job with these! P.S. i was at the 2022 daytona 500 and couldn't find you even though your like the tallest nascar fan ever lol
I also thought of Pocono and said if it was Hamlin that Buescher probably would have been forced up so im glad it was Truex in 2nd there
So glad I FINALLY met you my man! Told my mom and grandparents all about it and how I was so starstruck and blown away at how tall you are in real life compared to on TH-cam along with the fact that it was so unexpected for me! Couldn’t believe it! Till we meet again and good luck with your move!
My son took a pic with him and my son came up to Eric's shoulders. I was kind of surprised becauae Eric is very tall.
@@hillorisartin6129 So cool! Didn’t think I’d EVER speak a word to him but here we are!
I saw you there but I was chasing harvicks golf cart 😂😂
You know be cool to see, up green arrows and red down arrows with positions gained or lost since last week in playoff standings. Awesome channel btw Eric
It's gonna be effectively the same with Dinger due to the lack of stage cautions. The only way I see him doing strategy is if we get to overtime at Indy and he elects to pit to line up further back from that log jam of a turn 1 and hopes the worse tires and chaos allow him to pounce on the few that don't wreck into the grass
As to the cutline...I THINK Wallace is safe, but considering his poor track record at Road Courses and his Superspeedway average finish this year being 25.0...it might get closer than I'm thinking, especially since Glen/Indy don't throw a caution for the stages so he can't take advantage of people pitting to add a cushion like he's been doing the past few weeks very well. I think even he recognizes the pit crew is gonna screw the pooch, play it safe and get those stages points to lessen when they fumble
I usually go to the Michigan race, wish the weather was better, happy for Chris Buescher!
I really like Chris.I think he is champion material. Really happy for Brad K too.
Fun racing I’d say, I enjoyed it. Hamlin on a roll, 3 straight tip 3’s. Playoffs will be fun to watch
Buescher is having the season of harvick last season….it’s crazy…..harvick won Richmond and Michigan last year
It was refreshing to see good, hard, clean racing without any stupid wrecks or overtime finishes. And one of the fastest cars won so that makes it better. Love long green flag runs that end up being close. Michigan was very good and would agree on your groovy gage rating, I think it could be near a 100% had the rain stayed away!
So glad you came to my home track hope ya come back to Michigan again
It’s disingenuous to say Harvick getting eliminated first round last year was due to him not being back. His car literally caught on fire at Darlington and his pit crew cost him at Bristol
exactly. and he was top ten in both those races before those issues
Love your videos dude watch them daily.
If only the same could be said about the Wood Brothers…
Overall, great race, great finish, and I’m looking forward to Indy.
It was awesome meeting you sunday!!
I maybe a little premature but I could the RFK cars going deep into the playoffs.
Top 5 for Yung Money!! Truex has put up some outstanding performances this year. The most respected Toyota driver for a reason.
Very creative title. Caught my attention quickly🤙🤙
My daughter and I looked for you Sunday (& Monday) but she was a little bummed we didn’t see you. Hopefully next time if you make the trip back to Michigan!
Harvick did it last year, buescher this year, and both were fords. I can't believe it. This was an amazing razing race today. Now i wonder if buescher doesn't flop into the playoff like harvick last year
With how more consistent RFK is compared to SHR, at the very least he could make the round of 12
harvick had a mechanical failure and a tyre issue in the round of 16. i don't think rfk have such problems so they can just take their time
Truex is one of my favorite drivers, and definitely my only favored Toyota driver….period.
Yikes
good, clean finish. P2 for Mr. Monday
I was there the second day and the general consensus among fans at Michigan was that Truex had this. Easily. 17 was a surprise, but a welcome one. Hoping to make it back to Michigan next year and Indy as well.
Great race. I’m happy to see RFK on the rise. #17 Castrol paint scheme is awesome as well.
Locked in
Let's go! Chris and Brad are doing great.!
I honestly guess you missed the Earnhardt and DW era. LOL You guys talk like there was never any contact with guys in the past. They called it, "Trading Pain" for a reason dude.
