It's around that time of year again, thank you for your continuous support, and for viewing the 8th installment of my end-of-the-year Dearly Beloved series. This arrangement represents the ups-and-downs of the year 2016, hence the moody build ups in the introduction and final climactic section. To keep things more simple, this year I tried not to stray away from the Dearly Beloved theme as much as in the past, and there is only one key change. The VST being used is the Pearl Concert Grand, and the digital release of this track will most likely be made using the Abbey Road Studios CFX Grand Piano after it arrives in the mail!

Only to seek a heart of your own , whilst roaming the darkness inside yourself. Then finding the light of others that help lift you from darkness. Kingdom hearts is light. The first light. Pure and bright.

I literally just stumbled upon this rendition....I am in utter awe ...like no joke I stopped whatever it was I was doing and proceeded to slowly drop my jaw to the floor . I sat there with my eye closed and let this piece totally take over and I think I actually forgot about any stress or worries I have going on.
It's hard for me to find a cover or arrangement that takes my breath away on this level -- and this guy just absolutely nailed it.

kylelandry I love you Kyle💖 thanks for posting yearly dearly beloved covers 😄 I definitely felt the emotions you intentionally made in this cover. They get significantly better each time. Ever since I watched your one dearly beloved duet with Sherry Kim I was just so amazed by how great you made it sound. The song itself is great but the way you make your own arrangement is amazing and I can't really explain. That was about 5 years ago, when I found your channel and was so inspired by your covers and mostly, your dearly beloved covers. My improvisation style is highly inspired by you! Because of you, I was able to self-teach myself improvisation and gained alot of motivation to keep playing. I asked you a question on Reddit and you replied, "learn your favorite melodies in each scale and start from there." That has helped me alot 😁 I also learned your cover of Passion that took me 3 years to learn! I will keep going! And one day, I hope I can meet you in person or maybe collab👌🏻👌🏻 I also plan to post youtube covers when I get proper equipment :))

2016's dearly beloved is by far my most favored out of the Series, it's so quiet yet so loud , the intro sounds like a delicate rumbling yet it feels like an earthquake in my body. Pretty much everything, so damn wholesome

Kyle, I had these renditions on my IPod when I was staying in rehab. I snuck that thing into my campus and listened to your renditions of songs that meant the world to me as a child on repeat for hours. I dont know if I could've made it through that time without them. I'm sorry it took me this long to remember, but I will never forget your music again. Thank you
I did the same, man. Had an old ipod with a lot of his covers and I'd just listen to them on repeat. Fast forward to today, 6 years clean, and I can play the majority of the covers of his I like (halfway through the great fairy fountain and dearly beloved 2008 rn). Hope you're staying on the right path!
To me whats different about kyles version of this is that it shows meaning you can tell that he means every single note and that hes not just playing something he memorized hes playing something with power and meaning behind it with his own twist which is amazing ive listened to so many dearly beloved covers and they all soud the same but kyles stands out to me because his version is nothing like the rest its special

It's amazing how 8 years ago, when I finally finished my basics, I was flabergasted by your covers of disney, transformers and pokemon/anime. Now 8 years later, I finally dare say I'm at a level where I can play those very old covers of you at a respectable level. But comparing those old covers to this I can see how much you've grown. While say transformers was relatively easy to play as you did back in then, this song looks so difficult to play as beautifully as you did. And of course I didn't start fanboying about how you can sightread and improvise so well. I really can't praise you enough and seeing how much you've grown since I discovered this channel so many years ago feels so good to me. Fun fact: This is the composer's (Yoko Shimomura) favorite song from the series.
I mean there must be a reason there's like 20 different versions in the actual OST alone, and the multiple versions in the piano collections.
It is objectively the greatest song in the series. IMO Dearly Beloved is top tier piano period.
its in every main menu and has many versions of it. i love this song to death its so divine.
I agree it is the most recognizable, unique track in the series. Close second for me being Traverse Town Theme, although it has much to do with its perfect placement in the original KH, the fact you knew you were safe from the heartless the moment you started hearing it (it is the theme that greets you after the big fight in the island, and it also does not play in the third district).
Vision but in KH chain of memories gba, shit doesn't really go down like that tho, as i accidentally used a map card that has many heartless that chase you wherever you go, and with that warm song, just a straight no 😂😂
u know somehow when u listen to this piece, its like youre going through something bad in your life but as you keep on moving forward you just keep on seeing the dark. but u never gave up and slowly youll see the light, that brings joy to you. A piece of relieve and relax after going through hard times. it just makes you cry but it made u stronger in the end :') idk it feels so deep, man.

I suck at piano but every time I come back here and look at all of Kyle's hard work, determination, and dreams all poured out into the masterpiece he makes it really inspired me. I usually stick to math but Kyle has inspired me so much I have worked 200 hours recently to buy a new keyboard. I know it's hard to teach yourself but as long as I can see people like this I shall stay determined. HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!!

You know, this song is truly amazing. It comes from an amazing game that meant something to everyone, and what makes this song so special is that it means a different thing to everyone. It speaks a different language, presents different expressions and brings different emotions. It's such a simple melody, but the simplicity of it makes it vulnerable to be shaped and crafted into more beautiful concepts. That's what you do every year you create another variation of this piece. You play depending on how you feel and it resonates differently to everyone. Songs without words speak the most, and this one will always bear a different message. Thank you, Kyle for taking the time to speak to us all through your talent. I was listening to this in a playlist and di not see the title, and I didn't know what it was. But when it hit 1:40 I got chills and nearly started crying as I realized what it actually was.
