2016's dearly beloved is by far my most favored out of the Series, it's so quiet yet so loud , the intro sounds like a delicate rumbling yet it feels like an earthquake in my body. Pretty much everything, so damn wholesome

That was about 5 years ago, when I found your channel and was so inspired by your covers and mostly, your dearly beloved covers. My improvisation style is highly inspired by you! Because of you, I was able to self-teach myself improvisation and gained alot of motivation to keep playing. I asked you a question on Reddit and you replied, "learn your favorite melodies in each scale and start from there." That has helped me alot 😁 I also learned your cover of Passion that took me 3 years to learn! I will keep going! I snuck that thing into my campus and listened to your renditions of songs that meant the world to me as a child on repeat for hours. I dont know if I could've made it through that time without them. It's amazing how 8 years ago, when I finally finished my basics, I was flabergasted by your covers of disney, transformers and pokemon/anime. Now 8 years later, I finally dare say I'm at a level where I can play those very old covers of you at a respectable level. But comparing those old covers to this I can see how much you've grown. While say transformers was relatively easy to play as you did back in then, this song looks so difficult to play as beautifully as you did. And of course I didn't start fanboying about how you can sightread and improvise so well. I really can't praise you enough and seeing how much you've grown since I discovered this channel so many years ago feels so good to me. This is the definitive version of Dearly Beloved. As someone who grew up with the series, it characterises the growth and pains of the series. I cannot help but return to this rendition.
That was INTENSE to say the least. There's too much nostalgia behind the 2014 cover to pick a favorite, but oh my lord this one was definitely the most powerful feeling. I'm always blown away by your creativity every time I hear you play. From one long time musician to another, bravo, thank you for the music, and a very happy new year.
2016 presented a lot of hardships mother getting cancer, dad getting kicked out of our house and dealing with money problems from both of those. 2017 I have a feeling will bring the best year of my life so far and will bring a promising future for the rest of my life
If people don't understand why we watch these its because they do not have the emotional ties to the story that combines with the beauty of the music to create an experience that cant be had without it. Most of us really love Sora, Riku, Kiari, Roxas, etc. this piece perfectly grasps the desperation of Sora to save his friends, the passion each of them has for each other, the endless lengths they will go to walk out their quest. It is more than a piece, for most of us it is 15+ years of love, strife, story that gets ecompassed into 9 minutes of music. I hope you never stop making these.
Of all the Dearly Beloved pieces, all of which are simply amazing, I have to say that the 2013 version hits home for me the most. Just something about that version -- half way through the song when it transitions into a quicker pace, the whole song just comes alive that much more!

Ok so Kingdom Hearts was apart of my childhood, though I haven't played it or even thought of it in maybe 7 years. I was listening to this in a playlist and di not see the title, and I didn't know what it was. But when it hit 1:40 I got chills and nearly started crying as I realized what it actually was. Dang Kyle, how'd you get it so accurate?
My girlfriend just broke up with me a day ago. We've been dating for half a year, but I'm moving soon so she thought this is what was needed. I promised I would see her every weekend, but still she said this was for the best for me. 8 mins into this piece I just started crying. I just wish I could have done more with her, been better to her, and I just wish I could have more time with her. I agree it is the most recognizable, unique track in the series. Close second for me being Traverse Town Theme, although it has much to do with its perfect placement in the original KH, the fact you knew you were safe from the heartless the moment you started hearing it (it is the theme that greets you after the big fight in the island, and it also does not play in the third district).
Vision but in KH chain of memories gba, shit doesn't really go down like that tho, as i accidentally used a map card that has many heartless that chase you wherever you go, and with that warm song, just a straight no 😂😂

I feel like you have had no real formal piano teacher. Now don’t take this hard because I completely am enthralled by how amazing this is. It just looks like hard work and love from here... like I see you raising your elbows and what not, and the way you arch your fingers; Piano teachers would scoff at your form, but this just goes to show you that you can bypass such debuffs with muscle memory and repitition. I had a piano teacher find me randomly in our city hall while I was playing the public grand, and he taught me for weeks for free because he believed that I had a wonderful heart for music. I don’t understand what he meant fully, but I feel like you have it too. I played piano alot without any sort of guidance other than youtube and sheets. I kinda know what struggle looks like at its core and how it affects our playing. You play with your heart out and I can spot it from a mile away. I am glad that you are still out here making wonderful music and love how you progressed. Love ya kyle, and please continue to make your childrens proud (us btw haha).
Hmmm, 10 years with a local piano teacher, and 4 years with a Julliard-graduate at university. That's 14 whole years of training with a teacher. The first 14 years of my learning was with a teacher. Best not make assumptions :D

I guess there are different teachers out there for learning and growing that I never went through, maybe that means the way I was taught to play piano wasn’t complete or correct. I apologize Mr. Landry. Still, I really like this piece, so maybe lets leave it at that and brush the assumptions aside as my own blunders. In my oppinion this is better than the 2017 yearly beloved ^^. It's telling a own story. the "roxas theme" sounding parts are just so hurting. For you this is probably just a piece to say " goodbye 2016 " but for me its like a review of my sorrowfull last years..... thank you so much for uploading your music........

Of all the Dearly Beloved pieces, all of which are simply amazing, I have to say that the 2013 version hits home for me the most.
Just something about that version -- half way through the song when it transitions into a quicker pace, the whole song just comes alive that much more!

This is the first time in my life of 26 years that i can actually say that a song brought me to tears. I never get emotional over songs. Simply the most beautiful rendition of Dearly Beloved i have ever heard. All i can say is thank you for making this.

Ok so Kingdom Hearts was apart of my childhood, though I haven't played it or even thought of it in maybe 7 years. I was listening to this in a playlist and di not see the title, and I didn't know what it was. But when it hit 1:40 I got chills and nearly started crying as I realized what it actually was. Dang Kyle, how'd you get it so accurate?
My girlfriend just broke up with me a day ago. We've been dating for half a year, but I'm moving soon so she thought this is what was needed. I promised I would see her every weekend, but still she said this was for the best for me. 8 mins into this piece I just started crying. I just wish I could have done more with her, been better to her, and I just wish I could have more time with her. But I'll always remember the amazing time we had together, it was the happiest I've ever been. Thank you for your music Kyle, I'll always have this music to help me get through life. Thank you.

Fun fact: This is the composer's (Yoko Shimomura) favorite song from the series.
I mean there must be a reason there's like 20 different versions in the actual OST alone, and the multiple versions in the piano collections.
It is objectively the greatest song in the series. IMO Dearly Beloved is top tier piano period.

I agree it is the most recognizable, unique track in the series. Close second for me being Traverse Town Theme, although it has much to do with its perfect placement in the original KH, the fact you knew you were safe from the heartless the moment you started hearing it (it is the theme that greets you after the big fight in the island, and it also does not play in the third district).
Vision but in KH chain of memories gba, shit doesn't really go down like that tho, as i accidentally used a map card that has many heartless that chase you wherever you go, and with that warm song, just a straight no 😂😂

I feel like you have had no real formal piano teacher. Now don’t take this hard because I completely am enthralled by how amazing this is. It just looks like hard work and love from here... like I see you raising your elbows and what not, and the way you arch your fingers; Piano teachers would scoff at your form, but this just goes to show you that you can bypass such debuffs with muscle memory and repitition.
I had a piano teacher find me randomly in our city hall while I was playing the public grand, and he taught me for weeks for free because he believed that I had a wonderful heart for music. I don’t understand what he meant fully, but I feel like you have it too. I played piano alot without any sort of guidance other than youtube and sheets. I kinda know what struggle looks like at its core and how it affects our playing. You play with your heart out and I can spot it from a mile away. I am glad that you are still out here making wonderful music and love how you progressed. Love ya kyle, and please continue to make your childrens proud (us btw haha).
Hmmm, 10 years with a local piano teacher, and 4 years with a Julliard-graduate at university. That's 14 whole years of training with a teacher. The first 14 years of my learning was with a teacher. Best not make assumptions :D
Hmm, I guess that teaches me! I guess there are different teachers out there for learning and growing that I never went through, maybe that means the way I was taught to play piano wasn’t complete or correct. I apologize Mr. Landry. Still, I really like this piece, so maybe lets leave it at that and brush the assumptions aside as my own blunders. Hopefully the rest of your time on this earth is spent happy and well and thank you for clearing this all up. (p.s I still think it took alot of hard work to get where you are though, even if I might be wrong there too. I really believe in that one =D)
