That last lap around 34:00 - 6 cars passed you one way, then on the way back to the finish line for last lap, you passed a single car - then you come to the loop and there is a fresh pile - this game is out of control lmao
The reason your car was so slide-happy on the oval was down to you. There’s something called the _”100% rule”_ when it comes to driving that’s easy to understand... your tires only ever have (at best) 100% traction to split between acceleration, braking and turning. This means that if you turn *_and_* accelerate full blast you are exceeding that 100% and the tires will slide as they’ve lost grip. This is why, in real cars, you brake in a straight line _before_ a corner, let off the brake and begin your turn and only start accelerating as you’re leaving the turn as your wheels become more straight, careful to balance the amount of acceleration with the wheels angle. A great example of people breaking this rule can be seen in *_thousands_* of TH-cam videos of folk in powerful cars giving full throttle as they turn onto a road... they quickly lose traction and crash (for our entertainment). Try using less gas in the corners and you’ll see the benefits in lower lap times !!

That way you don’t get bored of it again because you aren’t doing it every single day, but at the same time to entertain us. Yeah well the games explanation of how open/locked diffs work is completely unintuitive and wrong. An open diff will increase cornering stability and decrease fishtailing/drifting. Thats why in any form of drifting they use locked or welded diffs, it makes it so much easier to get the rear end out. Its also why most production cars come with open diffs and even performance vehicles will usually have limited-slip diff.

You only see your race but pretend that they actually held a second semi-final (and three other quarter-finals). If you come 4th in your semi, you basically ended three places worse than the best in your semi, and 3 places worse than the top three in the other semi. You therefore get the 7th or 8th starting position in the next race. It’s the same in the quarter-finals. You are competing against everyone in your own race and also everyone one of the other three quarter-finals that are also held. Today you came 9th in your quarter final and started the semi in 17th. You then came 4th in your semi-final and started 7th in the final.
stop trying to race clean. The game is named Wreckfest for a reason. They will try to kill you. Defend yourself!!! In that oval you could have been much further ahead if you had shoved those guys out of your way rather then trying to go around them. Be mean take no prisoners. If I was a good a driver as Bugs the game would be too easy. I always get the bonus but rarely win the race.

Once you get close to the front of the pack you should drive into the u turns in the other direction. Exit high on the track and keep a high line around the corners and you will almost never get hit.
After finishing 9th, you end up at the end, because there is another quarter-final race that provides 12 cars for the semi-final. This means that 8 drivers of the other race also start in front of you. In general, your starting position the next race is: finish position * 2 - 1. Hope this helps
Hey buggs, you might not see this but I was watching this and you were talking about your car being a little drifty. To prevent drifting you open the diff a little because the inside tire will turn faster than the outside where a locked diff forces both tires to turn at the same speed causing the drifting. That's why when you build a missle car for drift and down wanna drop a ton of money on a decent diff you just weld it to keep it constantly locked. Hope that helps for future car set-up both in this and other games!
