Violet did the same thing in the opposite way, there was such sadness and despair in her version, like the entity felt sorrow over it's mission.... Does anyone else get any gospel vibes from this cover? To me, it's like a dramatic modern retelling of Moses' story where Moses is a woman and has to allow a higher power to possess her and send those she loved to a fate of misery (think "The Plagues" from Prince of Egypt). The original is, of course, amazing all on its own, but this? I just can't stop repeating some parts and the entire song because it sounds so powerful. Absolutely none of the instruments aren't metal-related, and yet I still feel that epic metal tone while listening. In a way, it's kinda like Dave Matthews Band where the song is metal without it being metal. I absolutely love it, Violet! Nice work!
