Cockatiel Lemon laid 2 eggs and now the male is sitting on her eggs, while Lemon is trying to play with water outside the nest. But it's her first time to see so much water in the tiny "pool". Quishna taught Lemon how to keep balance and then kicked her into the "pool".

G'day! We're from Australia with 3 native cockatiels.
Ana: Female, DOB 27/09/2020
Ana is a grey pearl cockatiel and she was bald as she was abused by her parents before she's 3 weeks old. She's timid and can be easily scared.
Lemon: Female, DOB 29/10/2020
Lemon is a pied lutino cockatiel with grey pattern on the right wing. Lemon is naughty and lively. She can't leave people even for one moment, she is unable to stay in the cage for too long.
Quishna: Male DOB 07/12/2020
Quishna is a pied lutino as well with grey pattern on the left wing. Quishna is the youngest one and he's smart and proud - never allow people to touch but he is gradually becoming the lead of the 3.
We live as a family, eat and play together!

On dry land it's a slender little potato with toes sticking out underneath. The moment they get in the deep water it's full puffball, wings up, legs extended down. So goofy looking.

A small tip: get some dowel rod, (Amazon) and cut it leaving just about 5mm longer than the gap between the bars near the bath, then cut vertical grooves in the ends of the dowel rod so that it slides up/down on the ends of the cage. That gives your birds a safe perch to sit on while drinking or bathing. Easily removed when closing cage doors etc

geez they're quiet in the water! When my lorikeets get into water, the entire floor is soaked! In a small bowl, it's near empty within minutes & all on the floor instead.
I just do a bird bath in the bathroom, then wash out the cage at the same time, since it's already soaked, along with the floor & walls.
I haven't found a covered water dish big enough for them, but it wouldn't work anyway, casue my boy loves to splash around, then jump out, shake the water off, then jump back in & repeat & do this 20-50 times in a session - then refuse to bathe for the next 4 days lol shaking's the main wetting activity in my case anyway though, along with the dripping, cause he's so wet through.
The cockatiels look so sweet & delicate as they quietly sit there in the bath together!
