I grew up driving about an hour away to the mountains where my family is from to go apple picking. Was dirty and tedious and we’d leave with about ten bushels and had a ton of fun. Now it is one of the biggest tourist attractions in the state with tours, bounce houses, and you get to pick a bagful (!) and it is just not the same. So I go to a different part of the state and buy direct from a self-growing farmer that supplies most of his area farmers markets. I actually get sick of the fruit after a while, especially since my favorite variety isn’t in season for a bit longer. But I just love to put apples in salads, chicken recipes, middle eastern dishes, etc. enjoy!m
Ooo, apple picking! I haven't done that in a long time. What a fun way to spend a fall day! Looks like you have a very happy little apple picker there 🐶 We have a little chihuahua sized "apple picking crew" sweater our dog goes out with now to keep her little chihuahua body warm in the cooling evenings. What has Wyatt been eating if he hasn't had a turkey leg in 20 years?? Well, my record might not be much different come to think of it 🤔😄 Oh, those gloves make Wyatt look like a pro turkey leg eater. He knew exactly what he was going for when your bag was packed 😎 Looks like a fun fair! Now holding my breath watching that guy try to step out of that hoop while balancing on the roller thing 🤭 I sometimes can't even balance on a firm level surface so that profession is out for me! Hmm, I think Hocus Pocus is on Sheena's watch list for the coming weeks. I'm pretty sure that's the movie. Lots of nice dog pictures at the end 😍 You're going to have a really nice lifetime souvenir from this! You really did a great job putting together this memory reel! Our fall has been very uneventful so far. We were asked to go to some fairs and passed. We haven't gone on any bigger fall color outings yet either. Maybe this coming weekend, but our dog is a major pain in the car because she whines a lot, sometimes constantly. She kind of discourages us going out on longer outings like we used to.
Apple picking crew dog sweater 😍🥰 omg that is adorable!!!! Lol I had no idea he had packed things in my purse so I was like what is even happening right now lol 😅 also hilarious it was like an industrial going to mix concrete type glove 🤣 Wyatt keeps like entertaining I do say. Well staying in and playing some new games and watching hocus pocus sounds glorious to me!!! Oh I know I couldn't do even one of the things in isolation that the juggler was pulling off! It was part comedy part magic show and I found I really liked the comedy to pair with the magic! We have a good time!
What a fantastic Fall recap. Thanks for taking us along. Growing up in Missouri I did many of these similar activities over the years. Ren fair, apple picking, and car shows. That magic and juggling show was a delightful new add, where was that done?
Thanks James!! And that's awesome you have done these things already and literally some of the same since you are from Missouri!! I love that!! The magic show was called magic on edge and it was in north KC. Tickets were super cheap and it was a good mix of comedy and magic we had a good time!!
He was spick and span thanks to his handy dandy glove 🤣😂🤣 The apples were good! We had to send half to Wyatt's work lol because we don't eat that many 🍎 s regularly lol. I do wish they had pink ladies those are my favorite but they didn't have any of those at least ready for picking.

Oh I love that!! Ya we definitely didn't make it all the way through our apples before we were kind of over them haha and we only had one bag!

Looks like such a fun time!! How did the apples taste?!? Did Wyatt still get messy even with his glove hand for the turkey? 😂
